Name: Lisa StaneAge: December 21, 2003 (physically sixteen/seventeen years old)Character Connection: Atlas and Sparrow's cousinOccupation: High school student; vigilanteDistinction: HybridPowers: Accelerated Ageing. After first receiving the CatII serum, Lisa aged a year for each month that passed by. After six months, this power seems to have either stopped completely or simply slowed down. Camouflage. Lisa is able to camouflage herself and anything she is wearing to blend into her surroundings and seemingly disappear. She has the potential to spread this power to someone else through physical contact but has yet to learn how to do so or even try. She can also only stay camouflaged for about fifteen minutes.Power Weaknesses: Due to her accelerated age, it is a possibility that her life is cut short by each year she has aged. Though she is able to make her clothing disappear with her, she is unable to touch another living creature and make that camouflage as of this moment. She is still vulnerable when visible and still casts a shadow, making her have no choice but to stick to the shadows when using her power. As stated above, her invisibility also has a time limit. At the moment, she can only stay camouflaged for no longer than fifteen minutes, and that’s when she’s able to fully concentrate. The time shortens with the less concentration she has. Personality wise, Lisa still has the mind-set of a child, though she knows that being a hybrid is nothing to joke about. She is often reckless, like her cousin once was, and sees life as a large playground. She thinks like a child, seeing the world as innocent rather than facing the reality of it.Other Skills: Stealth. Due to her camouflage ability, Lisa can be quite good at stealth when she focuses on the task and sets her mind to it. Aside from that, she is a newbie to the world, having less skills than her cousin did when he started out.Alias: ChameleonHeight: 5'4"Weight: (Up to you 'cause I'm terrible at judging weight of the claims)Known Family: Scott Stane, Ivan Stane, Julian Stan (cousins), Monica Stane (aunt), Shane Keller (adopted cousin), Yasmine Stane (mother), John Stane (father), and Hank Stane (estranged uncle).Comic Claim: Cassandra Cain/Black BatFace Claim: Adelaide KaneA Little About Your Character:Lisa was born and raised in Pismo Beach, California. She lived with her father and mother, being born after the explosion in Medina. She grew up with a normal life, being her father’s princess and her mother’s pride and joy. Her family wouldn't really talk about the explosion, so she never fully understood what had happened. All she really knew was that her aunt and two of her cousins were gone, while her surviving cousin was now living with them. She was there when Ivan’s hybrid powers surfaced and was the one to convince him to become the superhero, Sparrow. When Ivan seemed to become home-sick, she moved with him and her parents to Gideon City. There she watched helplessly as her cousin went through the hardest time of his life. When her uncle became sober and started living with her cousin again, her parents moved her back to Pismo Beach. There she would watch the news every day to see if Sparrow would make an appearance. A couple months after Ivan moved away for college, she visited him with her parents. While hanging out with her cousin and his friends one night, they stumbled upon some drug dealers that were smuggling CatII into London. It was the first time in a long time, and so far the last time, she had watched her cousin use his powers. The dealers had been hybrids, however, and out-matched her cousin. During the battle, she had grabbed some of the drug and taken it, wanting to be a hero like her cousin and wanting to save him. A month later, her first power showed. She aged physically for six months until her physical age became sixteen years old. After six months, the ageing appeared to have stopped, if not at least slowed down. Her camouflage ability manifested shortly after during one of her schooldays, when she just suddenly blending into the classroom and seemed to disappear out of her desk. Unable to hide anything from her parents, she feared what they would think, knowing they despised hybrids. Fearing their scrutiny, she ran away from home and started living with Ivan in Gideon City. Since running away, she has found out two of her cousins are alive and helped Scott and Ivan rescue Julian and Shane from Encore. She lived in Gideon with her family until they were kidnapped by her aunt, Monica, who she had presumed was dead. She along with Julian and Shane decided to stay with Monica, Ivan, and Scott instead of escape back to Gideon in hopes of bringing back the person her aunt used to be. She traveled around North and South America with her family before they settled down in New York City. She remains as a independent vigilante, fighting crime alongside Ivan, Julian, Shane, Monica, and Scott. There little group is led by Scott, but they're not an official team.Extra Info:I'd prefer is Lisa is written as bisexual. Now Lisa may be actually quite young, but personality wise, she's matured quite a bit. Or rather, she acts like she has. She follows mostly Scott's lead when it comes to how to act when in costume. This is Lisa's costume. Name: Monica StaneAge: January 20, 1975Character Connection: Atlas and Sparrow's motherOccupation: Former FBI agent; vigilanteDistinction: HybridPowers: Power augmentation. Valkyrie has the ability to weaken or enhance another hybrid’s abilities. Her power works through physical contact and triples the strength of the effected ability.Power Weaknesses: Strengthening an ability is harder for her than weakening one. Her ability can only be used on one ability, meaning if a hybrid has more than one ability, she can only affect one of the abilities. However she can strengthen up to two people and weaken up to three at the same time. The effects of her power only last for a total of fifteen minutes.Other Skills: Valkyrie doesn’t remember how she gained her skills, but she remembers how to use each one – most likely due to many years with long hours spent practicing and her skills becoming like second nature for her. What she lacks for in strength when it comes to her ability, she makes up for in her skills. Combat. She is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat and self-defense. She’s able to take on and average sized man with a decent chance at winning. Profiling. She’s also able to make an educated guess about someone by watching them and how they act and speak. She isn’t always correct, but at the least, she’s usually very close to the truth. Detective. Valkyrie is great at looking at the pieces of a puzzle and putting them back together. She’s also a very hard person to lie to. In the sense of this skill, she’s like a cop and often acts like a cop, though she prefers to be the bad cop. Weaponry. Valkyrie is highly skilled with a gun and has a pistol usually strapped to her thigh. She rarely uses her pistol, though, preferring to punch someone rather than shoot them. Hacking. This is the skill that she is most likely to use. She can hack into almost any computer.Alias: ValkyrieHeight: 5'7"Weight: (Up to you 'cause I'm terrible at judging weight of the claims)Known Family: Scott Stane, Ivan Stane, Julian Stan (sons), Lisa Stane (niece), Shane Keller (adopted son), Yasmine Stane (sister-in-law), John Stane (brother-in-law), and Hank Stane (estranged husband).Comic Claim: Lady SifFace Claim: Kate BeckinsaleA Little About Your Character:Valkyrie has no memory prior to waking up. The only memories she retained were her skills. She forgot everything else, including her own name. She woke up in a cold, Encore room and was fed a story about her family being murdered by rogue hybrids. She was told that she had been dead until Encore had managed to restart her heart with medical equipment and chemicals. She worked for Encore for a few years, owing them a debt after they helped her return to good health. She worked undercover on any mission she was assigned. She has been asked to work as an assassin, lobbyist, and even an escort before finally leaving Encore. After leaving Encore, she traveled around the world for a bit before joining Exodus. She takes no real side in the debate between humans and hybrids. She has resentment toward other hybrids due to being told rogue hybrids killed her family. However she often puts her own feelings aside to get the job done. When she got her memories back, she left Exodus and returned to her family. Since then, she's been living in New York City with her sons and niece. She fights alongside her family as a vigilante now, letting her eldest son, Scott, take the lead but often offering help when she notices he needs it. They aren't, however, an official team.Extra Info:I'd like to see Monica and Hank not get back together. He abused her son, Ivan, and she knows that now. I imagine her as very bitter toward him. This is Monica's costume, just add a domino mask. Name: Julian StaneAge: March 8, 1999Character Connection: Atlas and Sparrow's brotherOccupation: Student; vigilanteDistinction: HybridPowers: Doubled strength, speed, stamina, and agility, and all of his senses are highly enhanced. He also has vampire-like fangs that come out when he feels strong emotions - mostly with anger.Power Weaknesses: Julian has almost zero control over his powers and his temper. He's often overwhelmed by his enhanced senses and he doesn't know his own strength. When his temper flares up, he becomes very animalistic and needs to be restrained to be kept from severely hurting others. He goes into a blind rage and often doesn't remember what happened afterwards.Other Skills: Hand-to-hand combat and self-defense. He's been trained by his mother and brothers.Alias: Vampir (no, it's not a typo; it's another way to spell vampire)Height: 5'7"Weight: (Up to you 'cause I'm terrible at judging weight of the claims)Known Family: Scott Stane, Ivan Stane (brothers), Monica Stane (mother), Lisa Stane (cousin), Shane Keller (adopted brother), Yasmine Stane (aunt), John Stane (uncle), and Hank Stane (estranged father).Comic Claim: Cullen RowFace Claim: Aramis KnightA Little About Your Character:Julian is the third son and thus youngest child of Hank and Monica Stane. He was born and raised in Medina with his two older brothers, Scott and Ivan. He had a wonderful childhood until the Medina explosion. He was in Medina when the Encore plant exploded and released the Catalyst. He survived, but gained his hybrid abilities. He doesn't remember much from that day except for his oldest brother, Scott, trying to get him to safety and then being taken by some strangers. He was taken to an Encore facility. They took some of his blood and studied him while his abilities manifested. He was held there for years until he was rescued by his brothers and cousin. Having been held captive for years, he didn't know much about the world and wasn't very good at socializing. He's legally dead and thus hasn't gone to public school, but he was home-schooled by his family, so he's not longer as clueless as he used to be. When he found out his mother was alive, unlike his brothers and cousin, he was genuinely happy and has enjoyed spending time with her. He's now become a vigilante with his family.Extra Info:Julian is very outspoken. He's very curious when it comes to things he doesn't know or understand and he's not afraid to ask questions, even to the point of annoying his family. He doesn't mind Shane being at his side practically every second, and has become really close to and protective over his adoptive brother. He can loose his temper in fights, often having to be grabbed and calmed down by someone in his family - usually either Scott or Shane. He's more like Scott than he is Ivan. He looks up to his eldest brother. I'd prefer he is pansexual with Shane Keller as his love interest (I plan to app Shane). He's quite bitter over the fact that Shane is now an adopted member of his family because he's not sure if that means they can be together or not. This is Julian's costume, just add a domino mask.

Name: Shane “Red” Keller Age: July 22, 2000 Adoptable: No Allegiance: Freelance; works with Atlas and Sparrow. Use: Please contact Tiger Occupation: None Distinction: Hybrid Powers: Blood manipulation - he's able to control blood once it's left the body, however he has the potential to control it while it's still in the body. Skills: Hand-to-hand combat and self-defense Height: 6’0” Weight: 140 lbs Face Claim: Daniel Padilla
A Little About The Character: Shane Keller grew up in Washington DC with his parents. His parents were reclusive and secretive. He used to get teased by kids at his school - they'd claim that his parents were mad scientists and he'd usually end up punching a few of the kids and getting in fights. When he was twelve years old, he moved to Gideon City with his parents, who had recently started working for Encore. He never knew much about their job, except that it allowed them to do more than their previous job at a research lab had. He never thought their research would affect him. He thought his life in Gideon would be better. He was enrolled at a new school where no one knew him or his parents. He made some friends, started living life like a "normal" kid. It didn't last long. One day his parents brought him to their work. He'd thought it was just bring your kid to work day. He'd been wrong. He was taken to a lab where he watched his parents mix the blood of a hybrid - Julian Stane - with some CatII in hopes of duplicating Julian's abilities. Shortly after he was injected with the concoction, he was rescued by vigilantes Atlas, Sparrow, and Chameleon. Feeling betrayed by his parents and terrified, he willingly escaped the Encore facility with the heroes. Before they were able to get away, they were attacked by two hybrids. Shane's powers manifested, and turned out to be nothing like Julian's. He gained the ability to control and manipulate blood. After getting out of the Encore facility, he chose not to return to his parents and stay with the Stane family. His parents have since reported him missing and thus he hasn't returned to school. Roleplaying notes: Shane is very quiet and usually glued to either Julian, Scott, Ivan, or Lisa's side. He's not that independent and hates being alone - thus he's rarely, if ever alone. He spends most of his time with Julian, having grown really close and developed a sort of connection - whether their connection is from how close they've become or Julian's blood being used to give Shane powers isn't clear. He's a determined hero, but sees the world as sort of black and white. He thinks that it's obvious who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. He's yet to realize that it isn't that way. He's very calm in fights, never talking unless he's spoken to. He's level-headed and very good at multi-tasking - he's become used to having to fend off an attacker and make sure Julian stays calm at the same time. He's often seen as Julian's shadow rather than his own person. His skills seem to vanish quickly if he's caught in a fight without any of the Stanes there to back him up. He doesn't think he's become dependent on his adoptive family, however he obviously has.

Post by Anna on May 6, 2015 22:30:39 GMT -8
Scott didn’t like sneaking out of the house. He flipped the hood of his sweatshirt up before slipping on his jacket over it. He quietly closed the front door behind him. It wouldn’t be the shortest walk from the Alexander family house to Ivan’s, but it would give him time to think. It was about eight o’clock at night. There were adults at the house so he didn’t feel guilty about leaving the kids. However, he had left his cellphone in his room with a note that said he would be back soon. If he needed to contact Henry, he had his number memorized.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to ask Shard for help, but rather Ivan didn’t want to. He counted himself blessed that his brother had even agreed to help him out. Besides, this was a matter of family. As much as he considered the Alexanders his family, this was a Stane problem. This was up to Ivan, Lisa, and himself to handle. He had promised his brother that.
He stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jacket and started his walk, glancing around to make sure he hadn’t been spotted. The air felt cool, a light breeze brushing against his face. It didn’t do a thing to calm his nerves, though. He couldn’t help wondering why only now he was looking for their youngest brother. Why hadn’t he searched earlier? That was a question he was never able to answer.
He eventually found himself standing outside of his brother’s house. It was two stories tall – something their father had always strangely preferred. He could see a light on in an upstairs bedroom, though he couldn’t see who was in it. He stepped up onto the porch and rang the doorbell. He smiled softly to himself when he heard the sound of Sparky chirping at the door like a guard dog. The door swung open and he saw Lisa smiling up at him. She had her sleek black hair pulled up in a ponytail and she was dressed in dark colors like him – black and shades of grey. The colors had been a request of his brother’s.
He stepped in and she hugged him. She never seemed to get over the joy and knowing he was alive. He bent down as she closed the door behind him, scratching the top of Sparky’s head. He looked back over at her. “Ivan upstairs?” It was just a guess considering someone had to be upstairs unless she had left a light on.
She nodded and the two of them sat down at the dining room table, Sparky curling up at their feet. “He should be down soon. He’s just… catching up with Justin.” She wiggled her eyebrows and he raised one of his own.
“How does he even know Justin?”
“How do you know Justin?”
He playfully glared at her. “Do you know Justin?”
“Yep!”
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Justin works for the London division of Shard.” His gaze returned to her and he found her grinning like a fangirl. Obviously she found that notion exciting. “Now how does Ivan know Justin?”
She sunk back in her chair and shrugged. “They’re dating. I think they’ve been together for almost two years.”
That he hadn’t seen coming. Before he could ask anything else, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs and noticed Sparky’s head pop up. Justin emerged first, running a hand through his blonde hair. Ivan was right behind him, fixing his shirt. Justin took a seat next to Lisa, putting her between him and Scott. Ivan stood behind him, arms hanging loosely around his boyfriend’s neck. They were both wearing dark colors – Ivan even had a grey beanie on his head.
Lisa was the first to speak. “So… Do we know where to even start?”
All eyes went onto Scott.
No pressure.
“What exactly happened to you two after the explosion?” Ivan asked.
He met his brother’s gaze and shrugged. “Our powers manifested and we were taken. I’m not sure by whom, but we couldn’t even make it out of the city before they got us. They got us and they separated us…”
“Encore.”
He raised an eyebrow at his brother. “What about Encore?”
“I’ve read that they used to capture Hybrids after the explosion,” Ivan explained, standing up straight. His expression had hardened. He didn’t like talking about Encore. He didn’t understand why they couldn’t just leave his family along. “It’s said that they eventually let the Hybrids go, but what if they kept some? I doubt Tristan’s above that.”
Scott frowned. “I read that Tristan Carter’s dead. Orlando Carter runs Encore.”
“Supposedly,” Ivan replied quickly, “But I’ve had some… suspicions. I’ve met both Tristan and Orlando. They’re identical, so trust me it’s hard to tell the difference. I heard about Tristan’s death… But I don’t believe it one bit.” He rested his hands on Justin’s shoulders as his boyfriend looked up at him. “If Encore has Julian, then we need to get him out of there. There’s an Encore facility not too far from here. We can sneak into it tonight and take a look around.”
“I know, I used to work there.”
Ivan glared at him. “Don’t ever work for them again.”
It was an hour or so later that the four of them and Sparky stood outside of the Encore facility. The lights were off. Scott turned to his companions. “Looks closed for the night.”
“I doubt that,” Ivan muttered under his breath.
Scott chose to ignore that comment. “We have to assume their security is on. How do we plan to get past that?”
“I could try to short-circuit it,” Justin suggested. Ivan lightly laughed and kissed his cheek.
“You’re cute, Spark-Plug, but let me handle it,” he said as he took out a small tablet from his back pocket, “I’ve been working on my hacking.” He began typing in codes that none of the others could even begin to comprehend. “I can shut off their alarms, unlock doors and… Aha! Got into their security feed.” He looked at the others and beamed with pride.
Scott scratched the top of his head. “How the hell did you learn that…?”
“Story for another time?”
“…Fine.”
He watched from over his brother’s shoulder as the younger waited until the perfect moment to switch each camera to a constant loop. “This should buy us some time, but I doubt much. C’mon, I unlocked the back doors. Let’s move before someone realizes they’re unlocked.” He turned to Lisa. “Cous, how do you feel about being the first one in?”
She grinned like he had just given her a credit card and permission to go on a shopping spree. “I can do that!” Then she vanished, literally. The three boys stood with their backs against the back wall, Sparky obediently staying by Ivan’s side. They watched as the door crept open. Lisa – who was invisible to their eyes – looked through the crack before opening the door enough for them to slip through. She lightly tugged on Ivan’s sleeve, causing him to jump before he understood. One by one they slipped into the hallway. Once the door was closed, she reappeared.
Justin looked down the hallway both ways. None of the lights were on. He looked back to his companions. “This doesn’t feel right. Could they know we were coming?” He kept his voice at a whisper.
“I’m not sure how, but it’s possible,” Scott replied back, his voice low. He paused when he noticed how pale his brother looked. He gently placed a hand on his shoulder. “Ivan?”
Ivan shrugged his hand off. “Sorry… Just this company doesn’t bring the best memories back for me.” Justin stepped forward and planted a quick, soft kiss on his lips. Scott raised an eyebrow. He wasn’t sure if he approved of their relationship or not. However, the simple action seemed to calm his brother down so he didn’t complain.
“Which way?” Lisa asked, lightly hitting Scott on the side of his arm to get his attention. It was a hallway that stretched to the left and the right, both ends coming short and leading to two new hallways. “Should we split up?”
“No,” Ivan stated as if it wasn’t to be questioned, “If they know we’re here, splitting up would be a huge mistake.”
“How else are we supposed to cover all this area?”
“I don’t know. You’re the boy scout. I thought you would have a plan!”
“Shut up!” Justin quietly hissed at the two brothers, “We’ll go to the right, my right. If we don’t find anything, we high-tail it back. I’ll lead.” He gave both a look as if daring them to argue. When they didn’t, he started walking with Lisa close behind. Scott rolled his eyes before following with Ivan by his side, his brother smirking annoyingly. He could hear Sparky padding along behind them.
At the corner, Justin stopped and held a hand up to signal for them to do the same. He looked down the hall to the left then looked back at them. “There’s a room with the light on. I think Lisa should check it out.” She nodded and disappeared, the lack of lighting helping her blend in with her surroundings. Thankfully their eyes were adjusting fine to the darkness. She cautiously but quickly walked to the door, looking through the small rectangle window in it.
She slowly tested the doorknob. It was locked. She practically jumped as a face looked through the window; a man in a lab coat with a nametag that red Keller on it. She mentally reminded herself that he couldn’t see her. She waited until he returned to a table where a woman stood. She too had Keller on her nametag. A married couple? She stepped closer to the door and turned her head to see the other side of the room. A boy who appeared to be around thirteen years old with dark hair and brown eyes sat on a chair, watching the couple. He looked related to them. She shuddered. Apparently mad scientists even had bring your child to work day. She watched as the woman – the mother she assumed – grabbed a syringe and the man – the father – walked over to the boy and firmly grasped his arms.
The boy was terrified, she could tell by the way he squirmed in his own father’s arms as his mother approached him with the syringe. She watched the mother smooth a hand over his cheek as if trying to comfort him. Then she watched in horror as she snatched her son’s arm and injected the syringe into it.
She didn’t care about cover. She appeared and looked desperately to the three boys. “They’re hurting a kid!” She pointed to the door. When she looked back, both adults were looking at her. The father stood and approached the door. But Scott was faster. He kicked the door open, causing it to swing and hit the father in the face. All four of them entered the room. Sparky growled at the two Kellers. “They injected something into that kid!”
Ivan was quickly by the kid’s side, wrapping arms around him as he found he was shivering. He had always been good with kids, she remembered. Scott decreased the gravity on the man, which allowed him to snatch him by the front of his lab coat and slam him against the wall. Justin stalked over to the woman, who was cowering by the table, sparks dancing around his hands.
“What did you do to him?!”
“He’s our son! I don’t think it concerns--” the father began but Scott slammed him back against the wall, shutting him up.
Justin turned his gaze back to the mother. “I asked you a question!”
“P-Please, we would never hurt him,” she stammered, obviously scared. “We’ve been wor-working on d-duplicating specific powers, m-modifying the Catalyst. We just m-mixed a vile of CatII with th-the DNA and blood of a current Hybrid. We-we had no one else to t-test it on…”
“So you test it on your son?!” Ivan snarled. Though his attention instantly returned to the boy when he felt him cling onto him. “Shhh, everything’s going to be alright. Can you tell me your name?”
“…Sh-Shane…”
He gently stroked the boy’s hair, holding him close. He looked to Justin then Lisa then Scott. Sparky sat by him and the boy, nudging Shane’s hand. “Give me one good reason why we shouldn’t kill them?”
“I can report them to Shard and they can be arrested and actually learn a lesson,” Scott replied, exchanging a look with Justin. At least his brother’s boyfriend agreed with him. “Killing them won’t help us. They won’t learn a thing from it.”
Lisa opened her mouth to say something when she heard Shane whimper. “Forget about them. We need to get this kid… Wait…” She turned toward the mother. “You said you mixed the CatII with the DNA and blood – creepy by the way – of a current Hybrid?” The mother nodded. “Is that Hybrid still here?” She nodded again. “And is he around your son’s age? Dark hair? Looks a little like these two?” She pointed back to Scott and Ivan. The mother hesitated but nodded again. She looked to Justin and her cousins. “Julian’s here and they can lead us right to them.”
Her cousins seemed skeptical, but Justin had the common sense to see how it could work for them. “Right, and if they try to trick us, we can either sick the griffon on them or knock them out.” Both their eyes widened when the realized the small group had an actual griffon with them. Sparky growled.
Ivan figured Scott and Justin would take care of the two adults, so he turned his full attention to Shane Keller. The CatII seemed to be already affecting his body. He wasn’t sure what to do to help him. He had never taken CatII, though Lisa had. However, he was certain she hadn’t taken this modified type. Thankfully, he didn’t see any more of it lying around the lab.
“Hey Shane?” he said gently as Justin and Scott took care of threatening the parents into listening. He couldn’t help thinking Justin was hot when he was pissed and threatening – but he pushed that thought aside. The boy’s dark brown eyes were looking up at him. “We’re gonna protect you okay? Is it alright if we take you from your parents?” Shane nodded as quickly as he could. “Heh, alrighty. We just need to get my brother then we’ll take you to a safe place, okay?” Shane forced a smile and Ivan eventually coaxed him onto his back – piggy-back style.
Scott had guns pointed at both parents’ backs as they led the way down the hall. He wasn’t entirely sure if Henry would have approved or not, but he was willing to do anything to get his brother back. While they not knew he and Justin were part of Shard – surprisingly Ivan hadn’t commented on that – he had made them believe he wasn’t Shard’s model member. And Justin had said something along the lines of he wasn’t responsible for anything Scott did. Okay, so maybe he liked Justin and thought he would be a good influence on Ivan. But now wasn’t the time to think that over.
They had turned on several lights and Lisa had blinked, rubbing her eyes before allowing them to get used to the sudden light. Ivan walked right behind Scott with Shane on his back and Lisa at his side. Justin took up the rear with Sparky. They had assured the two scientists that the griffon was fast enough to get them no matter where he was. Considering griffons weren’t supposed to exist, they believed every word. It was slightly entertaining.
Scott couldn’t help wondering how long they had already been there as they followed the scientists from one hallway to the next. Would someone at the house noticed he wasn’t there and checked his room? Despite being legally an adult, he didn’t want to get scolded. It wasn’t fun. His attention was grabbed when they stopped outside a room. The father hesitated, his finger hovering over the lock.
“Either you open it or I hack it,” Ivan stated bluntly.
Scott shot him a look that meant shut up. “What’s wrong?”
The father looked at him. “This child… he’s been locked up, tested, probed, and held captive for around ten years. He was about four when we first got him. And his ability… it created a feral side… He’s dangerous…”
Scott bit down on his lower lip and glanced at the door. He turned his gaze back to the man and gestured with his gun. “Unlock it.” The man sighed but did as he was told. He holstered his gun and shifted between them and the door. The scientists looked as if they were going to try to get away, but the sound of Sparky growling right next to them scared them motionless. He saw Ivan looking at him and shook his head. “Stay out here with Shane. I’ll go in, keep the door cracked.”
He cautiously opened the door and slipped in. It was dimly lit and freezing. He looked around, his body tensing as he heard an animalistic growling that he knew didn’t belong to Sparky. “…Julian?” His eyes found the body pressed back against a corner of the room. He was dressed in clothing that looked too big for him and his hair was in need of a haircut. But despite how long it had been, Scott would always recognize his little brother. He took a step closer but Julian snarled, two sharp vampire-like fangs showing. He remembered when the boy’s powers had shown up. He remembered hearing scientists discussing his powers. Enhanced strength, stamina, and speed but only by a little bit. He believed those aspects had only been doubled so he wasn’t that strong, but he also had a small bit of invulnerability. What had been extremely enhanced were his brother’s senses – sight, smell, taste, hearing, and even touch.
That and he had practically turned into a vampire with a lust to feel blood on his hands. He could see that lust in his brother’s eyes as he knelt down a couple feet away from him. He was wild, feral. Scott slowly reached a hand out, not even flinching as Julian snatched it. The boy drew closer, sniffing his hand intently. He hoped he recognized his scent. He couldn’t help smiling as he watched Julian. His youngest brother took after their mother more when it came to looks.
He noticed his brother’s eyes go onto. “Hey Julian, it’s me. It’s Scott.” He made sure to use the soothing voice he had when his brother had been a small child. He stayed knelt there as Julian crawled closer to him. He could have wrapped his arms around him, he was that close… But he didn’t take that risk. He didn’t want to startle him. He remained still as his brother sniffed the crook of his neck. He felt as if he was holding his breath, unsure what the teenager would do. He didn’t want another brother hating him.
“…Scott?” Julian’s voice was raspy as if he hadn’t used it in far too long. He looked up and Scott met his gaze, a relieved smile on his face.
“Yeah, yeah it’s me,” he replied, carefully wrapping his arms around his youngest brother and holding him close. He wasn’t sure how Julian remembered him – perhaps by his smell? – but it didn’t matter at the moment. He had him back and he was never going to let anyone take him away ever again. He felt his eyes water and he tightly closed them, kissing the top of his brother’s head. He could feel Julian clinging onto him.
For the moment, he forgot where they were, what they were doing. It was just him and his brother, together again. His family was complete.
However, as sweet as the moment was, it didn’t last long. The door was slammed shut and his head whipped around. He cautiously rose to his feet, pulling Julian up with him. He carefully but quickly approached the door, keeping his brother behind him. Julian stumbled a couple times as if he wasn’t quite used to walking. His eyes widened when he caught a glimpse of what was going on. All he could see was a woman with her hand around Justin’s throat, holding him against the door, keeping it shut.
Then he recognized the woman.
Ivan fell crumpled to the ground, clutching his head. It felt like someone was in his head and picking it apart. He shakily looked up at the man who stood over him. They had seemingly come out of nowhere. The woman had blasted Justin in the back with a bolt of lightning – which hadn’t harmed him but rather stunned him, thanks to the electricity running through his body. But she was quick. She had kicked the door shut hard and snatched his boyfriend by the throat, slamming his back against the door. Both Dr. Kellers had taken the opportunity to run.
That was when he had felt the mental attack. Strong and forceful, he had fallen to his knees and Shane had fallen off his back. Pins and needles were how it had started out, but it was growing in pain and intensity. It felt like he mind was breaking. Lisa quickly disappeared and switched the lights off so no one could see her shadow.
The woman tightened her grasp on Justin’s neck. Ivan gasped as the man pushed more into his mind, curling up on the ground and whimpering. He hated people in his head. Sparky was up quickly to defend his master, using the darkness to his advantage. The medium sized griffon launched out from behind Ivan and Shane and tackled the man, managing to push him down and break his focus. Ivan shakily pushed himself to his knees.
“Ignition, transform!”
Justin tightly grasped the woman’s wrist, understanding what Ivan wanted him to do. The electricity lacing his cells sparked to life. Within less than a minute, he body was no longer solid, but rather made up of pulsing sparks of electricity. He glowed bright in the dark hallway. He took up the moment to move through the woman, shocking her in the process. As soon as he was through, he returned to his normal state, dropping to one knee and trying to catch his breath. The bad thing about that transformation was the amount of energy it took.
Scott took up the opportunity and decreased the gravity on the door. With a single, well-placed and hard kick, he knocked the door open. He released his grasp on the door. He ran to Ivan and Justin, grabbing them by their arms and hauling them up. Lisa appeared next to them. He noticed the man shove Sparky off, the griffon scampering back to his master’s side.
“Grab Shane, we have to move now,” Scott ordered, scooping Julian up into his arms. Ivan sighed, still shaken from the mental attack, but quickly grabbed Shane and picked him up. Scott looked back to see the woman getting up. Neither of them looked happy. “Run!” He allowed Lisa to lead the way with Justin taking up the rear.
“Who the hell are those people?!” Justin asked as he risked a glance behind them. He couldn’t see anyone in the darkness though. Lights began to flash, however, alerting anyone in the building to intruders.
“Guess they over-ridded my hacks,” Ivan grumbled.
“They’re clones of the Shard members Charis and Purge,” Scott explained as he cut a corner, following Lisa and making sure Ivan and Justin were still with them at the same time. “The man is Oliver, he’s a telepath–”
“Obviously,” Ivan sneered, “He was in my head. Ugh! See why I hate this place?”
“I’m beginning to,” Lisa called back.
Scott continued, “The woman is Hana. She can copy any of our powers at any time.”
“How do we beat them?” Justin asked.
“I’ve only encountered them once,” Scott admitted, “And it took an entire team to get out of there alive and even then… we lost two people…”
Lisa came to a halt and the rest soon followed. She looked around. Through the blinking lights and blaring alarms she hadn’t bothered to notice as they ran, she could see they were in a larger room. It looked like they were in the front office.
“Don’t know how we got here, but there’s the front door!” she tried to say that as cheerfully as possible, but she was winded with adrenaline pumping through her body. She honestly didn’t know how she had managed to lead them to the front of the building. All she had been doing was trying to get as far away from Oliver and Hana as they could.
Ivan set Shane down, though kept the boy close to his side protectively, and turned to glare at his brother. “Great so we’re going to get our asses handed to us because you don’t know how to beat them?”
“I never said–”
“Scott, Atlas – whatever the hell you prefer – you don’t know how to beat them!” Ivan snapped, “If you knew how to beat Charis and Purge, then we could beat these two.”
“Uh guys…?” Justin tried to get their attention, “Your cousin found the front door…”
Both brothers ignored him.
He frowned, irritated.
“Why would I need to know how to defeat Purge and Charis?” Scott spoke up, a bit of hostility entering his tone.
“Why does the League need to know how to defeat Superman?” Ivan countered as if it made perfect sense, “In case he turns! In case he goes evil or is mind-controlled!”
“Shut up!” Justin snapped, catching both of their attention this time. He glared at both of them. “That doesn’t matter right now. For God’s sake, the front door is right there! And you two are bickering like children!” He turned to Ivan. “Tweety-bird, I love you, but arguing this isn’t going to help.” He turned to Scott. “No disrespect, Atlas, but honest to God, you’re the older brother, be the mature one. You have the most experience working with teams so lead us and get us out of here safely.”
Ivan and Scott exchanged a look. No pressure, of course. Ivan opened his mouth to speak, but Scott held up his hand. He frowned at his brother but paused when he noticed Scott was listening. They all fell silent. Scott carefully set Julian on his feet and pushed him to Ivan. The younger seemed to recognize even Ivan’s smell and clung to his brother, his feral eyes looking over at Shane.
Scott looked around. “Go,” he said quietly, pointing to the front door. There were no security though the alarms had been going off. Something wasn’t right. He looked to Ivan and Lisa. “Go!” The two hesitated but quickly led Shane and Julian to the front door. Lisa tried to open the door. Panicking, she turned back.
“It’s locked!”
Scott cursed under his breath. “Break it–” It was all within a second that he noticed his body felt heavy. Before he could react, he was slammed against the ground, the weight creating cracks and breaks in the flooring. He felt like an elephant had sat on him. Justin gasped and grasped his head as he felt the mental attack. He crumpled to the ground, eyes tightly shut against the pain.
Ivan wrapped his arms around Julian to hold his brother back from going to Scott’s side. Shane coward behind him. Sparky took a step forward and growled. Lisa took a step back. He felt as if Sparky was the only one who wasn’t afraid. He watched as Hana and Oliver stepped into the room, smug as if they knew they were going to win.
“You kids shouldn’t have come here,” Hana said, easily keeping her focus on keeping Scott down. Her expression told them she thought little of them. They were just pests in Encore’s way. She looked from Scott to Ivan. “Especially since we know who both of you are. Scott Stane and Ivan Stane. The Greek Titan and the little bird. Both former agents of Encore.”
Ivan’s eyes darted to Scott then back to Hana.
Hana cocked her head to the side, smirking. “We didn’t have any orders to go after you when you left, Ivan. But now you’ve been brought back to Tristan’s attention.”
Chills shuddered down his spine.
“He might want you back,” she continued, stepping back Justin and Scott. She stopped a few feet from Lisa, Ivan, Shane, and Julian. She didn’t even glance at Sparky. She frowned, the amusement gone from her eyes. “But we personally don’t think you’re worth it.” With the flick of her wrist, a gust of air slammed against Ivan. He had barely enough time to push the two boys and his cousin out of the way. The force pushed him through the doors, knocking them off their hinges and sending him tumbling outside.
“Ivan!” Scott grit his teeth and tried to push up, but the moment Hana glanced at him, the weight increased and he was pushed back against the ground. He watched Oliver walk around and kneel by Justin, grasping the blonde’s chin but not relenting on his mental attack.
“This one could become useful,” he said, looking over to Hana. “He and his powers have potential.”
Hana grinned, her hands dancing with electricity. If it was hard for her to use more than one power at the same time, she didn’t show it. “We can always bring him to Tristan and see what he thinks.” She moved, quickly snatching Lisa by her arm and shocking her, her grin widening at the sound of her cry. “Perhaps even this one. Though to be honest, she doesn’t seem that talented.” She glanced to see Sparky scampering off to Ivan, who lay painfully on the ground outside. Julian stood in front of Shane, growling at her. She wasn’t afraid of him.
Oliver looked to Scott, smirking when he found him glaring back. “And we have Purge’s little prodigy.” He released his grasp on Justin and stood up. “We could use him to gain an edge on Shard, but that’s up to Mister Carter.” He looked to Shane and Julian. “I heard the Kellers tried a modified serum on their son. We should keep him here to monitor him, see if he becomes useful.”
Hana looked to the two boys. “Agreed,” was all she said before she threw Lisa to the ground, making sure she hit her head. She wasn’t knocked out, but rather extremely dazed. She would have a concussion, Hana was sure and the thought pleased her. After all, they had to teach these kids a lesson. They had to pay for breaking in, for thinking they could escape from Encore. Her hand glowed with electricity as she stood over Lisa, preparing to shock her once again.
She gasped at the pain that flared in her back and felt the warmth of blood trickle down.
“Hana!”
Before she had a chance to recover, a large gust of wind slammed against her already throbbing back and threw her into Oliver, knocking them both down. Scott heaved a sigh of relief as the weight vanished and he and Justin pushed themselves up. He looked to see Julian standing where Hana had been, his nails on his right hand turned into claws and dripping with blood. His eyes darted to Hana, who was pushing herself up with gashes on her back that looked like an animal attack.
Then he noticed Ivan, staggering to his feet outside and looking pissed. He moved quickly, helping Lisa up before making sure Julian was okay. He avoided stepping in the small puddle of blood at his brother’s feet. He checked him, but realized the blood wasn’t his. It was Hana’s. Ivan stepped back into the room and Shane was quickly by his side. He turned around just in time to see Oliver was back on his feet and quickly making his way over to them. He looked just as pissed as Ivan did.
“You’ll pay for that,” he snarled, entering each of their heads with each step he took. He watched with satisfaction at the pain they showed.
“STOP!!” Shane shrieked, catching all of them off-guard. When his eyes opened, they were crimson red. The blood on the ground from Julian’s attack on Hana rose and formed the shape of a blade. It solidified, the flashing light from the alarm making it glisten. Then it shot out, striking Oliver in the side.
Ivan took up that moment of both Oliver and Hana being injured and snatched Shane back into his arms. “Scott grab Julian!” He ordered and to his surprise and relief, his older brother listened and lifted Julian into his arms. “C’mon!” He took off running out of the building. His body was in pain from Hana’s attack, but the adrenaline helped him to ignore it. Justin grabbed Lisa’s hand and helped pull her along. They didn’t stop running until they saw a decent number of civilians. They got odd looks, but nobody commented on the panting young adults.
“Do we count that as beating them?” Lisa asked, each word coming out between a pant for air.
Scott, completely winded, shook his head. “We count that as getting away with our lives.”
Both Scott and Ivan let Julian and Shane out of their arms. Julian remained by both of his brothers, though Shane remained glued to Ivan’s side. All of them watched as Sparky huffed and collapsed on the floor, his legs spreading out at his sides and panting. They all let out laughs, the realization of what had just happened hitting them and the relief of being alive thrilling them. Ivan wrapped his arms around Justin’s neck and kissed him, the blonde’s hands resting on his boyfriend’s hips. The kiss broke apart when they noticed the look Scott was giving them.
“What?” Ivan asked, frowning.
Scott hesitated, whipping sweat off his brow and glancing away before looking at the two again. “You do know that Justin’s part of Shard, right?”
Ivan looked to Justin then back at Scott. “Yeah I do. I know quite a few people from Justin’s division. I went to college with them.”
Scott sighed. Why wasn’t he surprised? “And Justin… you um…”
Justin softly smiled. “I know Ivan’s part of Exodus, if that’s what you want.” He wrapped an arm around Ivan’s waist, pulling him closer. “He told me before you arrived… And while I’m… I’m not fond of him working with them, it’s his decision.” He looked down at Ivan, their eyes meeting. “And I’m not gonna let it affect our relationship.” He looked back to Scott. “Unless we meet and Shard’s fighting Exodus, there’s no reason for any of us not to get along. We may have to fight against each other, but that’s just business. It doesn’t have to affect our personal lives.”
Scott didn’t want to admit it, but he had a point. When he was Atlas and Ivan was Sparrow, he would have to treat him like he would treat any other member of Exodus. But why couldn’t there be moments where he was just Scott and Ivan was just Ivan? Moments where they were brothers, not Hybrids aimed against each other? He could tell by the look in his brother’s eyes that Ivan felt the same way. However, he wasn’t sure how possible that would be.
“…Let’s get back to the house.”
By the time they got to the house, it was late. Later than Scott was pretty sure the Alexanders would be happy with. Especially since he had left his phone and hadn’t told anyone where he was going. At least if they were worried, he noted, it meant they cared. Ivan tucked Shane and Julian into his bed and said he would sleep in their dad’s room for the night. Lisa went straight into her room and collapsed on her bed. Sparky fell asleep at the foot of Ivan’s bed with the two boys. Justin, though he had a hotel room, decided to stay the night. He went upstairs and said he would meet Ivan up there.
That left Scott and Ivan alone downstairs. Ivan took his beanie off and ruffled his sweaty hair, throwing the beanie onto the couch. He looked back at Scott, who was preparing to leave. He rubbed the back of his neck before approaching his older brother.
“Can I ask you for a favor?” he asked, catching his brother’s attention.
Scott shrugged. “Depends on the favor.”
Ivan rolled his eyes. “Of course it does.” He lightly bit down on his lower lip. “…Move in here. You can have Dad’s old room.”
“I-I uh… Why?”
“I’m gonna be away a lot,” Ivan admitted, “A lot of places I’ll go for Exodus aren’t in the country, let alone the city… I need someone here who can look after Lisa, Julian, and Shane. I figure with Shane, we can consider we have a new brother ‘cause I’m not letting those people have him.”
“I… I don’t know…”
“Please, Scott!” he quietly begged, “I’d ask Justin, but you know he’s part of the London division of Shard. I don’t know your boss, but I doubt he’d transfer Justin over here without knowing why and I highly doubt he’d be happy with Justin dating me, a member of Exodus… Besides, Hilary and the guys in London need him…”
Scott honestly didn’t know why he was unsure. This was his family and they needed him. He sighed. “I’ll um… I’ll talk to the Alexanders…”
“So is that a maybe?”
“It’s a maybe.”
Ivan shrugged. “Good enough, I suppose.”
Scott hesitated, unsure if he wanted to bring up the next topic that popped into his head. “Ivan… I want you to know that I’m sorry about what happened at the carnival.”
Ivan’s expression hardened.
“Just listen, alright?” Scott pleaded, “I didn’t ask Char to attack your friend like that just like you didn’t ask your friend to threaten to hang Char.”
“You’re higher ranked than I am, aren’t you?”
“I-I don’t know! Yes, I was somewhat in charge that day,” he admitted and he could see in his brother’s eyes that he blamed him, “Ivan, that was my first time leading and yeah, I screwed up. You happy? I screwed up and I’m sorry if your friend didn’t make it, but fine, put her blood on my hands. Blame me, okay? If it helps you sleep, blame me instead of figuring out that she got herself into that damn situation by screwing with the wrong people.”
“She’s just sticking up for what she believes in!” Ivan countered, trying hard not to raise his voice. He didn’t want to wake anyone up. “That’s what Exodus does! We’ve been pushed down and now we’re pushing back but people like you don’t like it so you’re labeling us as criminals! Terrain’s right, Scott. I’ve made bad decisions in my life and I’ve paid for them.” He pushed up both of his sleeves to reveal the self-harm scars on his arms. Scott’s eyes widened.
“I punished myself for the bad decisions I’ve made,” he continued, “And I’ve learned from them. But Terrain’s right! I tried to be the self-labeled good guy, but I got my ass kicked by Encore and black-mailed into joining them! I tried to be the good son, keep Dad happy but all he wanted to do was drink and hit me! I tried to be a good friend, a good student in London, but now my friends are wrapped up in Shard and in a crime-fighting world I warned them against! I tried to be a good cousin, but Lisa’s fighting crime too!”
“I thought I had a chance of redemption when Apex offered me a spot in Genesis,” his shoulders slumped and the pain showed on his face, “I thought I could join my heroes, but Apex ditched us and the team crumbled. Exodus has been there for me. They’ve kept me safe. They got me out of that cell that I guarantee your boss wants to send me back in. Why can’t you understand that?”
“Because, Iva–”
“Hana said you were part of Encore…” he looked suspiciously at him, “Is that true? Do we actually have that crap in common?”
Scott sighed. “A lot of the rapid response team – the Shard team I’m on – were once a team in Encore, so yes that’s true.”
“And you didn’t know that had Julian?!” Ivan hissed through gritted teeth.
“I only know what I’ve been told about Encore!” Scott snapped back, trying to defend himself and his team.
“And who told you that?!”
He didn’t answer.
Ivan frowned. “Your boss? Purge? If he was in charge of the team, how do you know he wasn’t dealing with Tristan?”
“He spoke with Orlando!”
“They’re identical twins, Scott!”
Scott couldn’t stop himself from glaring coldly at Ivan and moving toward the door. “I’m not having this conversation with you.”
“Because you know you can’t win it!”
“Good night, Ivan.”
He didn’t allow any other words to be said before he left the house, and closed the door behind him. He heard it lock. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jacket and stalked down the street. He was furious. He was furious at his brother for saying such things and he was furious at himself for thinking that the younger had a point. But those would just become more thoughts he kept to himself. He stopped and glanced back at the house. Just by walking away from it, he felt as if he was abandoning his family.

File: Stane, I. Ivan Joshua Stane Alias: Sparrow Distinction: Hybrid Current Faction: Harbingers of Justice Former Faction(s): Encore, Genesis, Exodus Occupation: N/A Date of Birth: November 15, 1994 Height: 5'10" Weight: 145 lbs. Known Family: Monica Stane, Scott Stane, Julian Stane, Lisa Stane, Shane Keller, Sparky. Known Associates: Timothy Smith, Parker Odelia-Black, Faith Marie, Devin Smith, Devina Smith. Distinguishing Features: Ivan's body is littered with scars, both small and large. They range from his arms to his stomach and thighs. Across the underside of his left arm, the word HELP is spelt out in large, deep scars. Power Level: Alpha Threat Level: Formidable. Skills: Ivan is a skilled hacker, though it is a skill he rarely uses. He was taught how to hack at an FBI level by his mother when he was young. However, do to his young age, he isn’t at a level of a senior FBI officer like his mother was, but while in college, he has worked on his hacking and gotten stronger. Even after retirement, Ivan has continued to improve in his fighting. He works out on a daily basis, always testing new routines and has even taught self-defense to a couple classmates of his. Most of his fighting, he learned by watching news feed of others fighting, mostly the heroes of Genesis, as well as classes at Carter Garden. Ivan is a major in criminology and has been studying it for two years out of a four year program at the college. He has the skills and knowledge as any other student in his class, though he is able to apply his knowledge to his life and has used it to look back on his previous decisions. Hybrid Powers: Ivan has the ability to bend wind currents to his will, sometimes strengthening them to rather powerful slices that can cut through solid objects, however it is limited to objects such as wood, plastic, and occasionally metal, concrete being too tough and hard. He can gather wind together to form a shield, though it works more to deflect attacks away from him than to stop them in general. Through bending currents around him, Ivan can give the illusion of flight. He has also been able to literally take the wind out of someone, though he has only used that move once when he was working for Encore. Weaknesses: His powers are more offensive than defensive. He can create a shield, as stated in his powers, but it is weak and most attacks can go straight through it. His powers also take a toll on his body. Long or strong use of his powers can cause him to feel light headed, become short of breath, get nose-bleeds, or get dizzy. He is also limited to the amount of air or wind in his location. If he is in a room where there is only air, not even the slightest bit of a current, his powers would be weaker than if he were outside where there is plenty of air and some current. History: Ivan was born in Medina, where he grew up for most of his life with his mother, father, and two brothers. He was the middle child and often looked out for his younger brother, Julian, along with his older brother, Scott. His mother worked for the FBI and taught him everything she knew about profiling as well as computer hacking, though he knew she shouldn’t have. One day, his father had to go away on a trip for the agency he worked for. Ivan’s mother took him and his brothers shopping in Medina, wanting to get them new clothes for when their aunt, uncle, and cousin were to visit. That was when the explosion happened, the same one that caused the creation of Hybrids. To this day, that day is foggy in Ivan’s memory, but it is recorded down that his mother and brothers died that day. What he does remember, is somehow slipping out of the city and frantically using a payphone to call his father, who in turn called his uncle. His Uncle John picked him up and they fled to their home in Pismo Beach, California. There he was reunited with his father and they stayed there for a majority of the years. Due to the loss of a spouse and two children, Ivan’s father began to drink heavily and even started to beat his surviving son. The family was forced to put him in rehab, where he would be in and out of many times in the next few years. Ivan’s powers didn’t show up until almost a year after the incident, where they emerged when he tried to stop some men from mugging an old lady while out with his cousin, Lisa. At the confusion and fear of not knowing what was happening to himself, he began to appear depressed, prompting his aunt and uncle to move them all back to Gideon, thinking he was merely home sick. They moved his father to a local rehab as well. Somehow, once in Gideon, his cousin managed to convince him to become a crime-fighter, like the characters in his comic books. Inspired by the local hero Apex, he took up a masked life as Sparrow. However, he soon learned he was in way over his head. He found himself wrapped up in the world of crime when he became involved with Encore and even transferred to a school run by the organization. There he suffered from depression even worse than before. When his father came out of rehab again, his aunt and uncle left with his cousin, thinking that his father was clean. His father continued to drink and occasionally beat him. The frustration and lack of control in his life, caused him to start cutting. His life brightened somewhat when he received a pet griffon from the school, which he named Sparky. When he turned eighteen, Ivan enrolled into a university in London and left Gideon, taking Sparky with him. He hung up his cape and took an early retirement from crime-fighting. While in London, he became involved with several Hybrids, helping them with their powers and though a few dabbled in crime-fighting, he stayed back as more of a mentor, however that was never the word he would use to describe himself. He was just watching over them to make sure they didn’t make the same mistake as him. He has been studying and helping out in London until recently, when he learned that his father had passed away due to a heart attack. He has no reluctantly returned to the city, with his loyal pet. He refused to take up crime-fighting until approached by Apex, former leader of Genesis. He was briefly part of Genesis until the team's disbandment. Not long after, he joined Exodus. Through an unfortunate encounter with Shard, he came into contact with his older brother and thus learned that his brothers were alive. He later helped rescue his youngest brother, Julian Stane, and Shane Keller from Encore. He has since left Exodus and joined the Harbingers of Justice with his brother, Scott. Director's Notes:

Subject has shown the ability to enhance probabilities into her favor, what most people would call “lucky”. This allows the subject to rarely miss her target when aiming her weapons. Enhanced intelligence of strategic weapons. The subject has also shown signs of having an uncanny knowledge of any weapon put in her hands. Use of weapons appears to come naturally to her and little effort appears to be put into her actual use of a weapon. Depending on what weapon she is able to get her hands on; this ability of hers can pose a high threat.Skills: Hand-to-hand combat. Records show that the subject is skilled in hand-to-hand, having taken years studying karate and self-defense.Height: 5'4"Weight: 129 lbs.Face Claim: Real: Alona Tal; comic: Mia "Speedy" DeardenA Little About The Character: Hilary grew up in London, England with her younger twin sister Stephanie, and their best friend, Justin. She was raised in a middle-class, and often treated like second-best to her parents, who adored her sister. Because of that, she has grown up with a slight resentment to her younger sister and a feeling that she'll never be good enough for her parents. She spiraled downward because of lack of attention from her parents, getting into drugs and hanging with the 'wrong kids' around seventh grade. Around then was when she took CatII and developed her powers. After her parents discovered she had powers, they looked up places to send her, not wanting a 'freak child' around the house. They discovered Carter Gardens and sent her there recently, where she is now attending classes.Roleplaying notes:- Weakness. While the subject appears to hold some position of command within Omega, she does not have the qualities it takes to lead. Not many weaknesses toward her powers are known, but they have been classified as pure offensive, save her probability manipulation, which could go either way. A strong offensive attack is recommended for dealing with this subject.

- Personality. Though she may not seem like it, Hilary is a good person to get along with. She takes everything she does seriously and puts all of her effort into everything she does. She's a tomboy and loves to play sports. She's resentful of her younger twin sister, Stephanie, and can often be slightly rude toward her, however she is never out-fight mean to her and still has her back. She's a good ally to have and once you become her friend, she's forever loyal to you unless you betray her. Betrayal is something she will not tolerate. Betray her and you have brought on her wrath. When she's angry, she can be terrifying, though in serious situations or dangerous ones, while others may be panicking, she can often be found calm. She's loyal and always waits for orders, never rushing in head first into danger.
- Sexuality. Heterosexual; single.

Subject holds the ability to manipulate electric waves and bend them to his will. He is able to discharge blasts of electricity and even generate his own electricity. Lightning manipulation. The subject has also shown signs of being able to call forth lightning and control it to strike down at a target. However, this ability has rarely been used. Electric transformation. Though he has yet to show it, it is believed that the subject has the ability to transform his entire body into being made out of electricity for a brief period of time.Skills: Karate. Though the subject is nowhere near the level of subject Sharp-Shot, it is recorded that he has taken several karate lessons and it is believed that that is where he first came into contact with subject Sharp-Shot.Height: 5'10"Weight: 135 lbs.Face Claim: Real: Lucas Till; comic: Lightning LadA Little About The Character: Mostly up to whoever picks him up, however he is from a higher social class than Hilary and Stephanie, and is childhood friends with the two. He got his powers from the CatII but how he took it is up to whoever picks him up.Roleplaying notes: - Weakness. The subject’s abilities are highly affected by water. If he gets wet, he has been known to let out a strong discharge of electricity that harms himself. His powers have been known to not work at all in rain and snow.

- Personality. Justin isn’t your typical spoiled-brat. He is spoiled, however he rarely shows it. Though he does become determined when he doesn’t get what he wants. He’s loyal to a fault, and tends to think highly of himself because his powers can be quite powerful. However he does know his limits. When he wants to be, he can be very kind and caring, and also quite the romantic (his mother’s a bestselling romance author). He’s protective of his friends and things that belong to him. He can be good when listening to orders, but prefers to do things his own way. He’s best with learning when he gets a lecture or scolding; since he dislikes getting those, he pays more attention to them so he knows what not to do, so they don’t happen again.
- Sexuality. Homosexual; single; crushing on Ivan (<3)

The distance limitation on her powers is unknown, but it is believed that she cannot travel from one country to another in one teleportation.Skills: Gymnastics and acrobatics. It has been recorded that from the age of five, the subject has been trained in gymnastics. This can allow her to be slippery in the field as it has trained her to be fast moving and has increased her known skills in acrobatics.Height: 5’3”Weight: 115 lbs.Face Claim: Real: Ariana Grande; comic: MisfitA Little About The Character: Up to whoever takes her, however she did not receive her powers from the explosion, but rather CatII.Roleplaying notes: - Weakness. Subject’s teleportation has been recorded to drain a lot out of her energy. Because of that, she isn’t known to use her ability much in a battle. She can be considered physically the weakest member of Omega. Minor and medium offensive attacks are recommended if facing this subject alone.
- Known relatives. Samantha Peak (step-mother), Gerald Peak (father), Hannah Peak (mother_deceased), Waverly Peak (half-sister)
- Status. Un-registered
- Personality. Just like her powers, Katy’s personality is all over the place. She’s hyperactive, bubbly, and typically always smiling. She’s very childish and immature for her age, often annoying people, however she’s not obnoxious. She loves to laugh and have fun and loves to make others smile. She’s also not the sharpest tool in the shed.

******** Name: Stephanie “Sunshine” LilaniAge: January 3, 1995Adoptable: NoAllegiance: OmegaUse: SparrowOccupation: Carter Gardens studentDistinction: HybridPowers: Solar radiation manipulation. Subject has the ability to bend and control solar radiation after it hits the earth’s atmosphere. She can use the radiation to send out blasts of sun fire or solar flares as well as project a barrier of sun fire around her body as a shield. Flight. The subject has also shown the ability of flight. The extent of her flight isn’t known, but it is recorded that she can fly higher than a normal human can handle so long as she has a sun fire shield around her. Heat and fire resistance. Due to her first ability, the subject has a strong resistance to heat as well as fire, virtually unable to get burnt.Skills: Intelligence. Despite how the subject may appear air-headed, the subject is recorded as a straight A student in all advanced classes. Do not let her appearance full you and underestimate her intelligence. Height: 5’7”Weight: 121 lbs.Face Claim: Real: Brie Larson; comic: Karolina Dean.A Little About The Character: Stephanie grew up in London, England with her older twin sister Hilary, and their best friend, Justin. She was raised in a middle-class, and often treated as if she was more special than her sister by her parents. Because of that, a rift between her and her twin grew as years went on. She was a cheerleader in all of her schools and often went to cheerleading camp, so she wasn’t aware of much that went on in her sister’s life. When she found out her sister had taken CatII and that her parents wanted to send her away, she had had enough of it. It retaliation, she took CatII and developed her powers. She wanted to show her parents that if Hilary was a ‘freak’ than so was she. It helped to mend the relationship between the two sisters, however it didn’t fully repair it. After that, her parents sent her to Carter Gardens with her sister, where she now attends school.Roleplaying notes: - Weakness. The subject’s powers have shown a strong weakness to water-based powers and water in general. Though she is somehow able to use her powers during the night, they appear to be weakened by the moon. Her powers work both offensively and defensively, however, but a strong offensive is highly recommended when dealing with this subject. It is recommended to approach subject in a colder environment, as she is highly weakened by the cold.
- Known relatives. Hilary Lilani (sister), Chris Lilani (father), Marisol Lilani (mother)

- Personality. Stephanie can often be seen as an airhead or a bit too bubbly. She always trying to find something positive, rather than looking at the negative. She’s very optimistic and very friendly. She tries to hang out with her sister and be friends with her, but she knows that it’ll take time to get close to her.

Subject has shown signs of highly enhanced strength. He is said to be able to lift twelve times his own weight. The true limit to his strength is unknown. Enhanced endurance. The subject’s body is also stronger, having to withstand impacts and the weight of what he can carry. It was recorded that the subject once got hit straight on by a city bus and walked away with barely a scratch, though the experience appeared to unnerve him.Skills: Intelligence. The subject has been recorded to have graduated from junior high and high school early by a couple years with straight As in every class and advanced classes. His intelligence out-matches that of subject Sunshine. He is more than likely to be the brains behind a couple of Omega’s plans.Height: 6’2”Weight: 189 lbs.Face Claim: Real: Nicholas Hoult; comic: Conner “Superboy” KentA Little About The Character: Up to whoever takes him, however he got his powers from CatII and somewhere along his life, he was bullied a lot.Roleplaying notes: - Weakness. The subject’s powers are more so built for offensive attacks, though his endurance poses some defensive qualities. A strong offensive attack is recommended when dealing with this subject. With his increase in strength, the subject’s speed has decreased as if his weight has as well.
- Known relatives. Hansen Clemens (father), Yolanda Clemens (mother), Tyler Clemens (baby brother), Abigail Clemens (sister)

- Personality. Steven is a geek, simply put. He’s a video gaming, comic reading geek. He loves science and enjoys it quite often. Because of his bullying, he finds it ironic that the puny geek got super strength as a power. He’s not the best with socializing but can follow orders when needed to. Because of that, however, he’s terrible when it comes to girls. He often stutters when talking to Stephanie and can sometimes even start talking about the most random topics, not noticing that he changed the topics. He’s a loyal friend to have and would never abandon an ally in a battlefield.
- Sexuality. heterosexual; single; crush on Stephanie.

Name: Monica "Valkyrie" Emalee StaneAge: January 20, 1975Adoptable: No - might be later on, but not for now.Allegiance: Freelance; her family; ally to the Harbingers.Use: AnnaOccupation: FBI agent; vigilanteDistinction: HybridPowers: Power augmentation. Valkyrie has the ability to weaken or enhance another hybrid’s abilities. Her power works through physical contact and triples the strength of the effected ability.Skills: Valkyrie doesn’t remember how she gained her skills, but she remembers how to use each one – most likely due to many years with long hours spent practicing and her skills becoming like second nature for her. She can hack into almost any computer.Height: 5'7"Weight: n/a (idk what her weight would be, I've never been good at this part ><)Face Claim: Kate BeckinsaleA Little About The Character: Monica had no memory prior to waking up. She had been asked to work as an assassin, lobbyist, and even an escort before finally leaving Encore. Since then, she's been living in Gideon City with her sons, niece, and three unofficial wards. She fights alongside her family as a vigilante now and has become an ally of the Harbingers of Justice.Roleplaying notes: Monica has her issues, but she's come a long way since she was brought back to life. Living and spending time with her family has helped her become able to rejoin society and be a good mother again. She's a widow - her husband, Hank Stane, passed away while she had no memory of her family and worked for Encore. She's a good mother and vigilante, though her morals are sometimes questionable. Along with her pistol, she usually carries several other weapons with her, including throwing knives, a dagger, and brass knuckles. Power levels aside, she can easily be considered the deadliest of her family based on her skills alone.Name: Elizabeth "Chameleon" Hope Stane; LisaAge: December 21, 2003 (physically around sixteen to seventeen years old)Adoptable: No - might be later on, but not for nowAllegiance: freelance; her family; ally to the HarbingersUse: Anna; ReniOccupation: StudentDistinction: HybridPowers: Accelerated Ageing. She can also only stay camouflaged for about fifteen minutes.Skills: Stealth. Due to her camouflage ability, Lisa can be quite good at stealth when she focuses on the task and sets her mind to it. Combat. She's been trained by her older cousins and her aunt in how to fight and defend herself.Height: 5'4"Weight: n/a (again; idk)Face Claim: Adelaide KaneA Little About The Character: Lisa was born and raised in Pismo Beach, California. She traveled around North and South America with her family before they settled down in Gideon City once again. Now she works alongside her family as a vigilante and has become an ally to the Harbingers of Justice.Roleplaying notes: Lisa is quite young, despite her accelerated aging, however many wouldn't guess that upon meeting her. She's matured quite a bit since becoming a vigilante and living with her aunt and cousins instead of her parents. She often follows Ivan's lead, if not Scott or Monica's.Name: Julian "Vampyre" Clark Stane; JulesAge: March 8, 1999Adoptable: No - might be later on, but not for nowAllegiance: freelance; his family; ally to the HarbingersUse: Anna; ReniOccupation: StudentDistinction: HybridPowers: Doubled strength, speed, stamina, and agility, and all of his senses are highly enhanced. He also has vampire-like fangs that come out, and his nails turn to claws when he feels strong emotions - mostly with anger.Skills: Hand-to-hand combat and self-defense. He's been trained by his mother and brothers.Height: 5'4"Weight: n/aFace Claim: Chandler RiggsA Little About The Character: Julian is the third son and thus youngest child of Hank and Monica Stane. He's now become a vigilante with his family.Roleplaying notes: Julian is very outspoken. He looks up to his eldest brother.Name: Shane “Red” Damian KellerAge: July 22, 2000Adoptable: No - might be later, but not for nowAllegiance: Freelance; his adoptive family; ally to the HarbingersUse: AnnaOccupation: NoneDistinction: HybridPowers: Blood manipulation - he's able to control blood once it's left the body, however he has the potential to control it while it's still in the body.Skills: Hand-to-hand combat and self-defenseHeight: 5'9”Weight: n/aFace Claim: Daniel PadillaA Little About The Character: Shane Keller grew up in Washington DC with his parents. His parents have since reported him missing and thus he hasn't returned to school.Roleplaying notes: Shane is very quiet and usually glued to either Julian, Scott, Ivan, or Lisa's side. Name: Donald Arden Richards; DonnyAge: Early to mid twentiesAdoptable: NoAllegiance: freelanceUse: AnnaOccupation: Doctor - more specifically a surgeon.Distinction: HybridPowers: Healing touch. Donny can heal any physical wound by resting his hand over it and concentrating. He can heal wounds he can't see like broken ribs, for example, but those types of wounds take multiple visits, and a lot of strain from him. He has the potential to heal diseases, but he hasn't tapped into that yet. If he uses too much of his powers, too often he gets dizzy and sometimes passes out.Skills: Combat. Donny's not the best fighter. Majority of people are likely to kick his ass. However he knows some hand-to-hand combat and some self-defense, so he won't go down without a fight, but he's very likely to get his ass kicked. Medical genius. He's a child genius and used his genius to study medicine and become a surgeon and doctor at a very young age. Sarcasm. He considers his sarcasm and snark to be his greatest weapons.Height: 5'11"Weight: n/aFace Claim: Luke NewberryA Little About The Character: Donny was born in London, England, but moved to Medina to live with his grandparents after his parents had both passed away in a car accident, shortly after he got his medical degree. He was in Medina when the Encore plant exploded, giving him his hybrid ability. He was the only one in his house to survive. He'd discovered his powers when he'd accidentally tried to heal his grandparents. He hadn't been able to save them, which still haunts him to this day. During the registration act, he'd already become a doctor in Gideon City, and secretly started acting as doctor to unregistered hybrid vigilantes. He came to know a few of the heroes and villains at the time there. While he aligns toward good, when someone entered the hospital and needed his help, he ignored whether that patient was good or bad. He couldn't save his grandparents, so he thought he had to save everyone he could. Since the registration ended, he's continued to work at the local hospital, but he has been called away to other hospitals when they feel he's needed, having made a name for himself in the medical field.Roleplaying notes: Donny thinks he has to save everyone. He doesn't think it's his place to decide whether someone should live or die. He also doesn't act like a genius. Most people who know him think he's an idiot and question whether he actually got his medical degree or made it up. He acts like an idiot and a goof but is quite brilliant. He doesn't like plans he knows are bad or aren't going to end well. They give him anxiety, and he's not the best at handling his anxiety. He's immensely introverted, but he forces himself to go out and socialize with the world.Name: Natraj "Penance" Asim Pandit; RajAge: August 3, 1994Adoptable: No - might be later, but not for nowAllegiance: PersesUse: Anna; ReniOccupation: n/aDistinction: HybridPowers: TelepathySkills: Hand-to-hand combat, self-defense, agility, gymnastics.Height: 5'9"Weight: n/aFace Claim: Suraj SharmaA Little About The Character: Raj was born in Medina and grew up as childhood best friends with Ivan Stane. He lost his parents in the explosion and was put in foster care. He bounced from house to house. He was thought to have mental problems, that he heard voices. No one believed that he was hearing other people's thoughts, and when he tried to prove it, the families would get freaked out and send him away. He eventually ran away and lived on the streets of New York City. Inspired by teams like Genesis and Shard in Gideon over the years, he dawned the identity of Penance. While in New York City, he ran into the vigilante Sparrow a few times and the two had a small fling, though he never learned Sparrow's identity and never gave away his own. A few months ago, he was approached by a man cloaked in shadows and asked if he wanted to save the world. He joined forces with Perses, unaware that he's only being used.Roleplaying notes: Raj's costume is full body - think similar to Red X. He has no issues delving into someone's mind without their permission when in costume, but rarely uses his powers when in civvies. He mostly learned how to fight on the streets, however he's learned to be more agile and gymnastics from teachers Perses has hired him. He truly thinks Perses is a good guy, however he's found he's unable to read the man's mind.

notes here. @tagged words: #### | Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

From the birds eye view God only knew We were too rich to entice Too poor for a price There's no life in these seeds It's the growth of disease It's sowing season In these forever fields It's sowing season In these forever fields It's sowing season In these forever fields It's sowing season In these forever fields
From beneath these bones God only knows Who's too dark to reach And too bright to teach There's no life in these seeds It's the growth of disease It's sowing season In these forever fields It's sowing season In these forever fields It's sowing season In these forever fields It's sowing season In these forever fields
