So I'm going to be a copy cat and do some samples for characters that I might be interested in. Comments and reviews are welcome, whether through posting on this thread or pm. If you have any plot ideas that could involve one of these characters, please let me know!
It might have been a little bit easier for her to concentrate, if cars, trucks and other such automobiles weren't currently falling on her. Emma could handle the beating, due to the diamond like substance that covered her skin, but it was still rather bothersome. Backhanding the most recent projectile away from her, there was a slight pause in commotion that gave her a moment to actually think. Magneto and his men were always troublesome. The helmet that their leader wore was even more so. Let's just say that the White Queen didn't like it when she couldn't scramble someone up from the inside.
Everyone else that surrounded her, however, she could feel. Lorna going head to head with her father, Storm locked in combat with Mystique, Wolverine clashing with Sabertooth. And here she was, eyeing Juggernaut with distaste and trying to think of some way she could beat him.
It obviously wouldn't be with brute strength. Her mind couldn't penetrate his rather ugly headpiece either, so she was left with simply outsmarting him. It wasn't often that Juggernaut worked alongside this band of misfits so well. He actually seemed to be staying pretty calm. Bingo. Throwing herself at the oncoming vehicle, instead of further away from her teammates, she ran across the hood just before it slid out from under her. With the last step she pushed forward, leaving a dent in the metal and directing herself toward the Brotherhood member.
"You can do better than that, can't you?" Emma didn't bother trying to attack. She simply twisted above his head, perfectly out of reach, and landed behind him with a small 'thud'. She kept in his shadow, making sure to time her steps with his perfectly so that no matter which way he turned, she stayed out of sight completely. "Where'd you go?" Juggernaut had the most charming voice. Reaching up, and making sure not to hesitate in the slightest, Emma clicked open one of the four locks on his helmet. Of course, he didn't notice because of how frantic his search for her had become.
He added in arms, swinging like a maniac in hopes of hitting her, but she ducked out of his way before he could put her through a building. It seemed like a good strategy. One of the other X-men could have done it better, sure. But they all seemed too busy to notice the giant. Flipping up another latch, she danced around him happily until she could get her hands on the last one. With an elegant flip, the last one was undone. "Come on big boy, you could use a good jog."
She swerved through the abandoned cars that filled this section of New York City, jumped along them, and never looked over her shoulder. He was right behind her. He flung the objects out of his way at first, but then quickly resorted to crushing them beneath his unimaginable weight. She knew where to go. Someplace that no one would get hurt. Which involved taking a left right about now.
The sudden movement caught the big fellas eye, and he turned with her. The alley way was about fifteen feet long, and gave Emma just enough room to maneuver comfortably. Pushing off the brick wall that ended the short path, Frost caught herself on Juggernauts back with just enough time to pull his helmet away from him before he collided with the brick. He went straight through, tripping over the incline of the building and crashing down with the debris. He gave her one last look, and she could see her reflection in his pupils as she turned from diamond to telepath. "Nighty, nighty, Marko."
To be honest, it'd been to long since her last gig. A pretty piece like this, however, deserved her attention. It happened to glint at just the right time and catch her eye. Black Cat set, perched among the rafters of the gallery with a look of pure amusement. So much for top-grade security. Child's play. The guards roaming around were to be expected, but easily dealt with. Felicia just had to time her moves right.
The gallery had been made into a maze of artwork, giving her the advantage from up above. She flipped from one sturdy beam to the next, scaling down a bit until it was an easy jump onto the bronze statues arm. Something so big, it wasn't what she was after. But who said she couldn't marvel at the work? Some Goddess or the other, her outstretched hand was a perfect seat. By the time she had reached it's appealing shape, the guard was already passing her by. His flashlight roamed the vacant areas ahead of him, and Black Cat kept the length behind him under check.
The boots she wore made each step silent, though she could have done without them altogether. Just extra precautions. By the time they turned the next corner, another flashlight was at the end of their former isle. She had to time this perfectly. Five guards in total, she had about three minutes before they found this one. Taking him down was easy enough. A fingertip to the neck and he passed out in her arms. How romantic.
She could have hid the body, but she the risk was thrilling, and her adrenaline would give her an edge. Flipping over the makeshift wall to her left, she darted behind the desired corner seconds before a light fell on the same spot. A few more over and she was set. Pulling herself onto the next wall, and keeping safely out of sight, Felicia smirked at the sloppiness of these guards. Didn't they know who they were protecting this stuff from?
Two minutes left. With one giant flip, Black Cat arched over the two guards still in her way and landed, on her feet, directly beside the one thing she came for. It may be a bit cliche, but the ebony cat with crystal eyes would bring in a good amount of doe. If she even decided to sell it. Twitching her wrist and straightening her fingers, claws expanded from each tip. She made sure to slice off a corner, the only spot that wasn't exposed to the red lights, and was careful to maneuver herself just right.
She'd done this so many times before, it was crazy how elegant she had made it look. Rising up on one toe, so that she could bend in just the right way, Felicia had the kitty in the palm of her hand. Ten seconds. With the guards scream, she pulled the statue free, breaking through the glass and setting off the alarms. The opposing arm reached toward the ceiling, releasing a wire with a special little claw on the end that pulled her to safety again. With lights now shinning on her leather costume, Felicia gave all the guards one word, before busting through the nearest window. "Meow."
more to come.
