Imma do this too 'cause Di and Emma are awesome and come up with awesome ideas o3o ...and they love me. <3
“Por qué carajo le haces eso?! Dios! No te importa mis sentimientos?!” The words flowed out in Spanish and quickly, much too quickly for his idiot boyfriend to catch. Julio was furious, extremely furious. Shatterstar wanted an open relationship, they had already been over that and somehow the alien didn’t seem to get why he didn’t like the idea at all. Now he had found out that his idiot – no his stupid as hell – boyfriend had made out with some girl and probably had sex with her. He didn’t doubt it, but he didn’t want details.
“Quiero decir realmente! Crees siquiera acerca de mí? Acerca de cuánto duele cuando usted tira de esta mierda?!” He kept his voice fast, not wanting to give Shatterstar enough time to make out the words. These were things he normally wouldn’t say to his boyfriend, though he knew he should. But it hurt. He felt like he wasn’t enough for the man and the thought pissed him off. At times he felt like the only thing that kept him with the red-head was the fact that he liked him so much. However, he wasn’t above admitting at times he wondered why he stayed.
He sighed and ran a hand over his face, trying to calm down and give the idiot-he-couldn’t-believe-he-liked time to talk. He was only half-paying attention to whatever the other man was saying, knowing he wouldn’t like it. It was probably just bullshit about wanting to explore all the world had to offer and especially wanting to share the experiences with the earth-shaker. Unfortunately for Shatterstar, his boyfriend wasn’t into the idea of a threesome. It was disturbing and something he didn’t want to take part in.
But what he mostly didn’t want to do was share Star. He was his boyfriend. Was it so wrong to ask to have him all to himself? Was it so wrong to be selfish like that? Whatever Star wanted to try, if it was just the two of them and helped the alien feel at ease, he was perfectly willing to take part… sort of. If it was embarrassing or humiliating, then they would have a problem.
He didn’t understand why that was hard for Star to grasp, nor did he understand why that was hard for him to say to his partner’s face. He was no longer listening to Star, in fact he guessed the man wasn’t talking anymore. His fingers curled inward and he slammed a fist sideways against the wall, most likely waking up some of the other X-Factor members. He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily. “You know what, Star? Forget about it, never mind.” He said as he gave the man a glance before he began to walk away. “I’ll see you in bed, alright?” He didn’t wait for a response. Instead he went straight to their room and closed the door, with more force than he had intended on.

Spider-Man had been right. The kids at school had laughed at him, poked fun, but it hadn’t lasted forever. Yet that didn’t mean he felt any better. He almost felt worse. A few whispers he could make out, people still looking his way. At times he felt like he’d rather be a nobody again. At least that way, people didn’t talk about him from time to time. Instead of being the kid that nobody knew, he was stuck being the kid that was fired by Spider-Man. Well, maybe that wouldn’t be everybody’s exact words, but it was how he described himself.
He sighed to himself as he closed his locker. The door still had dents from the times he had clutched it so hard that what little super-strength he had left had bent the metal. He slung his backpack onto his shoulder and walked with his shoulders slumped and his head held low. The school day had ended, but that didn’t end his torment. In reality, the people around him didn’t torment him as much as his own thoughts. He had been given a chance to do so much good, make a difference in the world, and as Spider-Man had put it, he had failed the test.
He had long gotten over the hurt and anger, or at least the anger… Or so he thought. He hadn’t seen Spider-Man in a while. What would he do if he saw him? Say nothing, of course. Spider-Man would be busy. Why would he want to waste his time with some ex-sidekick? A frown found its way onto his face. His thoughts were poison that he couldn’t stop. A part of him was determined to prove Spider-Man wrong, to become a great hero and rub it in his ‘mentor’s’ face. But what good would that do? And how would he do that? He only had minor super-strength, nothing special. He wasn’t anything special.
The teenager had been told that with time, his powers might return to him, but he wasn’t counting on that. Besides, there was no way Spider-Man would let him become Alpha again. Even if he went rogue and didn’t affiliate himself with the web-head, he’d find some way to stop him. After all, he wasn’t the luckiest guy in the world, that much was obvious. So here he was, walking home from school like a dog that had been kicked one too many times.
The sound of a bank alarm caused Andy Maguire to turn his head toward the city. It always caught his attention. There was an explosion and smoke rose into the sky. He watched with an apathetic expression, though he was very much interested in the action. Against his better judgment, he decided to check it out. The bank was on fire and several firefighters were working on putting out the flames and catching the bad-guy. His eyes swirled around to find the bad-guy, but the familiar thwip! sound caught his attention and he looked to see three crooks wrapped in familiar white webbing.
Standing by them was Spider-Man, looking triumphant. A cop was soon there and talking to the web-head. He stood in the crowd, flashes of light popping around him as bystanders took pictures. He grimaced and looked away with an annoyed groan. When he looked back, he tensed, finding the Avenger’s eyes on him. He returned the gaze a bit uneasily before pulling his eyes away and pushing his way through the crowd, heading home. He hadn’t said a single word and he figured he hadn’t needed to.
