Tweak MAJORLY: Hush little hero, don’t you cry. We are flying so high. Can you feel it? The warmth of blood. Soak it in and drink it up. You don’t need a plastic cup. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. The bad man hears you now. Get away, don’t hold me near. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. Your blood is such a wonderful sight. As you gasp, holding your breath, remember me in your death. Bones of old and bones of new. Bones of you and bones are true. Devil’s eye. Devil’s mouth. Devil’s tail. Devil’s got you now. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. You have been a little bird. Clip your wings and fall to the earth. Into the ground, don’t make a sound. *** Ken's eyes widened and he quickly dodged the first ice dagger, his arm getting scrapped badly by a shard that had come off of it. He staggered back to his feet, wincing as his other arm started to bleed from the scrape. Jeez, now both of his arms were injured. Still, he refused to stop. He would knock Drew out if he had to, maybe even hurt him....he doubted it though. He couldn't hurt Drew...this was his Drew...or was it? He seemed different. He seemed like he actually wanted to hurt the Amazon. Still, he couldn't bring himself to hurt him. He would just knock him out. He wouldn't hurt him, too bad at least. Wonderboy prepared himself to fly over to Drew, but had to dart out of the way as more ice weapons were thrown at him. He heard a faint crack and his head whipped around as he saw the snowglobe fall.
It all seemed to happen in slow motion in his mind. He heard the smash, causing himself to cry out and quickly cover his ears. He doubled over, cradling his head, his eyes tightly shut. That noise, that noise! It was horrible! Where had he heard it before? It sent memories flying through his head, reliving every one per second that went bye. The memories he had with Drew, the good ones, all vanished, breaking and smashing before his eyes. He relived every time he had been hit by his boyfriend or electricuted by Joseph, the man who had "owned" him in the sex trade. He could feel the cold touch of every man who had ever paid for him. He could hear his own whimpering, his own heart beating. Make it stop, make it stop! That was what he wanted to plead, but his mouth did not open nor would it ever. His mind was going a thousand miles per second...but it eventually slowed down.
Ken removed his hands from his head, slowly, his entire body trembling. He looked at Drew. The young hero's eyes were glazed over, a very distant look in them. This wasn't his Drew. His Drew had left him with this Drew. He wanted his Drew, he wanted him to come back to him. But he was lost. His Drew was broken, gone from him...he could never get him back. His whole world had fallen apart right before his eyes. His Drew was broken. His life was broken. His world had shattered and was broken.....He was broken. That moment seemed like a far away memory to Ken. After that, he had been hurt...by who...? He wasn't sure...Two people had hurt him....Drew...yeah, Drew had been one of them...someone else...He couldn't remember his face but knew he had known him from somewhere else. Now, the young Amazon sat bruised and beaten in an alley, leaning against the wall. His communicator was somewhere, but he wasn't sure where. His clothes were rinkled and in a mess. His shirt had been thrown somewhere and his pants were unbuttoned....Slimy cold hands...he could still feel them on his body. He had to shake that away. He had to get help. Where was he? He didn't know anymore. After running away from Drew so he wouldn't get hurt anymore, he had gotten kidnapped. He knew he had been gone for several days, though he didn't know the exact number. All he knew was that whoever had taken him, had gotten bored with him and dumped him here. Cars flashed by on the streets. People walked and talked. Some glanced and maybe saw him, but no one made an effort to stop and help him. The mark of the dragon was burning on his face. He had to grit his teeth against the pain. He had to keep on thinking, keep his mind going. What was his name? Ken? Yeah, Ken Prince. His Codename? Wonderboy, right? Yeah, yeah that was it. He was a member of....Justice? No, wait, Young Justice. He was a proud member of Young Justice. Wonderboy snapped his head around, wincing at the pain, when he heard footsteps heading his way. He looked over and saw several figures, looking about his age, walking over to him. One was a girl, she took her hood off to reveal flowing white hair and hazel eyes. She knelt down in front of him and looked at him with concern. "It's okay, we're here to help." She brushed her fingers across the mark of the dragon, as the same mark appeared on her face. The young Amazon tried to seem surprised, but somehow he wasn't. It was as if he already knew this girl so well. "My name is Anna Izumi, I'm the leader of a hero team known as the GX Alliance--" The GX Alliance? Oh yeah, he had heard of them before. They mainly hung around California, every now and then leaving to go save other places. "--we're going to help you, okay? Mind telling me your name?""K-Ken P-Prince...W-Wonderboy," his voice was forced out, cracked and soundly distant from his own. The girl-- Anna --nodded and said something to her friends about Young Justice. She must have heard of the team. "You're in Modesto, California right now," the girl explained as Ken's eyes started to flutter close. "Hey now, stay with me. We're going to get you to a hospital--""J-Jump City...."The girl raised an eyebrow before looking over at someone who stood beside her. "Jake, can we get him to the hospital in Jump City?"The boy nodded. "Teleportation can get us there quickly.""Good, now Scoot, contact Batboy and let him know everything...though if he also has the mark of the dragon on him....then he probably already knows."*** Travis glared out the hospital window, before closing the blinds. "Who told the news or paparazzi or whatever the hell they're called that they could come and film?" the half-kryptonian snarled lightly and he leaned up against the wall and looked over at Ken. The teen was sleeping on a hospital bed, dressed in a hopsital gown. A breathing mask was over his face and his neck, arms, legs, and forhead were bandaged up. IV was stuck in his wrist, and a machine was monitoring his heart. He had been more badly injured than originally thought. Anna stood near the door, no longer in her costume. Her hair was brown instead but her eyes were still a sparkling hazel. She glanced over at Harvey and then Josh. "I grant my apologies to your team, Batboy. I should have sensed his danger.""After this is all over, explain these marks to me," Joshua replied without even looking over at her. His eyes were fixed on Wonderboy. "Please."Anna nodded. "But of course."Joshua stood up and walked out of the door. Kenna sat by Ken's bed, holding his hand. This hadn't been a good time to learn that he was the brother she had lost. Charles had been assigned to be his doctor, and he had given her the news. She clung to his hand and kissed it, begging him to get better. She couldn't loose him again. She just couldn't. *** The news lady stood in front of the building, talking to the camera. "Today, Young Justice member Ken Prince, better known as Wonderboy, has been emitted into St. Clair's Hospital. Details of what's wrong and what happened have not been released by the team of so-called heroes. First, they terrorize Coalfield, so is Jump City their next target? Nebula is currently doing research on that as we speak and word has it that Nebula member Charles Caster is tending to the teen. The hero group known as Justice has already sent their wishes of fast recovery to Wonderboy, and I have seen several members of other teams like the GX Alliance, Star Focr X, Teen Titans, and Rider's Deck go in and say hello. How do they all know each other? Nebula is trying to figure that out too as we speak. Are they truly our heroes? When we want answers, well then turn to the true heroes, Ne--oh look! Batboy! Joshua Wayne!"Josh grimaced at the reporter's voice as he stepped out of the hospital to clear his head. He heard Sai mutter what sounded like "Bloody hell." and soon saw the teen walk out behind him with Dylan. It was still disturbing that everyone knew they're identities, but Nebula had wanted it that way. "Batboy! Batboy!" the lady ran up to the three teenagers with the camera crew close behind her. "We're live currently and if you could please comment? How's Ken's condition? How do you all know--""No comment," the teenage leader snarled as he walked back into the hospital. So much for fresh air. Sai and Dylan followed him back up to the floor where Ken was. They watched as Anna walked out with a boy by her side. She sighed and looked over. "A fast recovery isn't meant to be," she stated, "Our magic won't heal him....I'm sorry....we must take out leave. My team needs me." Josh gave her a nod and watched as she teleported away with the rest of her team. Harvey walked out of the room and stood in the hallway. He rubbed his temples and quietly groaned. Kenna stayed in the room, clutching her brother's hand and silently crying. Arthur glanced into the room and then looked over at the two leaders. "Should we leave them alone?" He was thankful that the fact that he was turning into a monster, so far didn't seem to effect his care for his friends. Carlos stood by Arthur. The entire Young Justice team and Rider's Deck team were there. "I think we should just wait a little bit. Let them have there space, but wait out here in the hallway just in case they need us.""Whisper has a point," Cab agreed with a nod of her head. Batboy sighed. "Yeah, give them space...." He looked over at Sai, Connor, Dylan, Collin, and Cab. "Thanks for being here."*** Two hours passed. Harvey, Cirna, Arthur, Carlos, Olivia, Ishi, Joshua, Kenna, Kristy, Austa, Travis, Cab, Dylan, Sai, Collin, and Connor were the only ones still there. Kenna had fallen asleep, clutching her brother's hand with her head on the bed. Arthur had his eyes closed but was fully awake on a cushioned chair inside the room with Carlos asleep on his lap. Cirna was also on a chair, resting her head back but her eyes wide open. Dylan and Cab were sitting on the floor, resting their heads against each other with Sai standing up against the wall next to them. Travis sat on the floor, leaning against the wall. His eyes were closed, but he was wide awake. Olivia and Ishi had fallen asleep on the floor along with Kristy and Austa. They were all dressed in t-shirts of their favorite color, sneakers that matched, denim jeans, and black sweatshirts with their teams written on the back. Joshua stood by the window, every now and then looking out at the camera and people that refused to leave. Harvey walked over and lay a hand on his shoulder. "Everything's going to be okay," he said quietly as Connor, who was standing near the door, looked over and gave the two leaders a small smile. "Ken's a trooper, he's going to be okay.""I know that," Josh replied with a slight nod of his head, "I just want to know who did this to him..."***
Hush little hero, don’t you cry. The darkness is coming by. It will swallow you, but do not fear. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. Can you feel it? The hurt of many, crawling through your skin like bees and honey. Blood soaked, tear stains. Cry, cry, cry. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. Death will soon come nearby. From afar, it will be here. Devil’s eye. Devil’s mouth. Devil’s tail. Devil’s got you now. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. The bad man’s coming with a wooden bird. To it your soul will part. Spread your wings and fly. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. You’re so high in the sky. Clip your wings and hear them snap. Fall to the ground with a crackling splat. Blood and guts on the mat. Bye, bye, bye. (( this thread takes place before Arthur quits Rider's Deck and before Carlos dies. Its obvious but I thought I'd let y'all know anyways )) She couldn't believe this. It was hard to. Cheyenne slowly walked through the hallways of the hospital, trying to remember the directions the nurse had given her to Ken's room. She had heard what had happened and how bad it had affected Kenna, though what else was to be expected? He brother had been severely injured for reasons no one could explain. Hell, they couldn't even find out who did it! She had a brief headline about it on one of the many news channel and she her mind had instantly flashed to Kenna. Why? She wasn't sure. It had been her brother that had been hurt, not her, so why had she been in such a rush to see them. Perhaps it was the fact of how devastated she had heard the girl was about this. She had called Josh to find out more details, though even he just gave her a light skim of what was going on, but he had been the one that had told her how hard Kenna was taking this. It put the Titan down a bit to know that she was so emotionally hurt like this, and she wanted to be able to be there for her.
Easily spotting the group that had crowded around the entrance to Ken's room, Crow silently approached them, keeping her mouth shut to say anything. She couldn't really see much into the room, but Kenna's quiet cries could still be lightly heard through the doorway. Her throat tightened at the sound as he heart sunk a bit. She hated seeing her like this and she wanted to help her, but what could she do? Cheyenne opened her mouth to say something, anything, but she couldn't get anything past her lips. She had no right to ruin the sibling's time together, so she'd wait with the others until the girl needed her there.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Would you mind if I hurt you? What had he done? It had been weeks since that day he had lost it. Since the day he had snapped and committed the worst crime he had ever done. It pained him to know what he did. And, now, Ken was in the hospital all because he couldn't control himself. But, there was something that just didn't make any sense to him. He had beaten so many people for the joy of it. Hell, he had killed people without even a second thought or regret of what he had done, so why was he so hurt about this? Why? What was so different with this time that hadn't been the same with the others? But, he already knew the answer for that. It was an answer that he would never admit to anyone, thought, not even to himself. He was a villain, a super-villain a that. He shouldn't be feeling guilty like this about hurting some kid he had been screwing around with. Then, why was his guilt eating him alive?
Swallowing hard as he dragged himself down the hall, Drew couldn't get himself to lift his head up. His feet felt like they had been shoved into concrete blocks, making every step that much harder to take. He was terrified to face Ken and to see the damage he had done to the boy. He couldn't even remember why he had beat him down so hard. Everything was blurred and pieces of his memory were missing. Hell, most of it was just blacked out like nothing had ever happened in between those times. But, there had been. He may not have seen anything, but he could hear them. The cries of pain, the crashing, everything. It all haunted him like a lurking nightmare, constantly replying in his mind. The dark-haired teen stopped as he spotted the group that had formed around the door, his fear growing at the sight. He knew they would no doubt go after him if they knew it was him who did this. No, they would kill him, which a small part of him hoped they did. He hated himself for doing this to Ken. He had been the only person who had ever liked him, or even trusted him for that matter and now... now he had ruined it all.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Understand that I need to WORDCOUNT;: Cheyenne: 314 Drew: 387 LYRICS;: What Have You Done - Within Temptation COMMENTS;: I got none xP TAGGED;: Ken How long must I pray Must I pray to You? Joshua looked over to the door, his eyes fell on Cheyenne. He wasn't sure how to react, but he smiled despite the situation. Thank God it wasn't another reporter. He walked across the room, the sound of his sneakers against the floor the only sound heard. The sleeping heads soon rose, their owners fully awake now. Ishi glanced at Cheyenne and then at Kenna, who didn't even achknoledge anyone. She gently kissed her brother's hand, mumbling something no one could make out. The orange-skinned alien stood up and walked over to the Titan. The last time they had met, they hadn't been on the best of terms. She reached a hand out and gently grasped the hispanic girl's shoulder, Josh by her side. "She needs you." Josh had told them about the Titan calling him. She seemed to deeply care for Wonderstar, who seemed to care about her too.
Harvey folded his arms across his chest and walked over to the three, gently pushing past Cheyenne though. His red eyes fell onto Drew. He looked familiar to the teenage leader, but he couldn't put where his name was. He looked the other boy up and down. "If you're some reporter or photographer, leave now....if not....stay I guess...apparently there's a bunch of heroes who have heard and want to support us that we've never even heard of...hopefully you're one of them..." He didn't pay the boy anymore attention. He walked back into the room and over to Arthur and Carlos, the banshee still on the half-plant's lap. He ruffled the teenage ghost's white hair.
A groan came from the bed. Everyone's eyes darted to it. Ken's eyes fluttered open. Kenna leans forward and kissed his cheek. His eyes went onto her. "Hey bro..." she said quietly as footsteps approached. Charles Caster walked into the room, a clipboard in his hand. He looked at Dylan and smiled, his son turning his gaze to the floor and pretending to have interest in his own shoes. Obviously there was still some issues between the father and his son. He turned his attention to Ken, walking over to the bed and checking some machines before smiling at the young Amazon.
"You're doing good. I'm surprised you're awake. You must be a real trooper." the man stated as he checked the IV, "You have a few broken ribs and a light concussion, so no moving around a lot. If you get dizzy, lay down and relax, cause I don't want to chance you fainting." He glanced at Drew. "Come on in, don't be shy. Jeez teenagers nowadays." he stepped over to the window, allowed Wonderboy to tilt his head slightly. He stared at Drew for a moment.....Was this his Drew or the Drew that hurt him?
"Drew..."
he managed to say despite the oxygen mask on his face. His voice was a smidge muffled because of the mask, but it was still easy to make out the words. He weakly reached out a bandaged hand toward his crush. Kenna stood up and glanced at Drew, not the happiest with having to move. She left the chair she had been sitting in at the bed's side and moved to the side closer to the window. She pulled a chair up and sat down, gently grasping her brother's other hand, lacing their fingers together. She finally noticed Cheyenne and smiled weakly at her, tears still in her eyes.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] How long must I wait Must I wait for You? The last time the two of them had met, the orange-skinned girl wanted to beat the shit out of her, so maybe they had gotten past that? Letting out a slight sigh of relief at the girl's words, she slowly nodded her head as her eyes went back to Kenna. She slightly jumped as someone else came up behind her, a boy though he didn't look familiar to her. Quietly walking forwards towards Wonderstar, Crow sat in the chair next to her, comfortingly resting her hand on the girl's. "Hey... h-how is he doing? And, how are you doing with all this?", she asked quietly, being a bit cautious with her words. She didn't want to upset the girl any more than she already was, and she didn't exactly have the greatest record for smooth talk. Glancing up at Ken, her eyes looked over the bandages that were wrapped around him, eventually falling onto the many wires and tubes that were placed and inserted into him. God, she couldn't even imagine what Kenna was going through.
Looking back at the girl, Crow watched her with worried eyes. She may not have known what she was going through, but she had seen how these things could effect people many times before. With her dad being a cop and all, she had had many times where he told her of how a family member reacted when their loved one was injured, beat, or killed and they weren't the greatest of tales. She knew Kenna wasn't dumb enough to do the things some people did, but these things had a tendency to mess with one's thought process. Or, maybe she was just thinking about this too much. Lowering her gaze to the floor for a brief moment, Cheyenne gently rested her other arm around Kenna's shoulders, hoping to comfort the distressed sister.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Wish that I had other choices Drew become stiff as ken called for him, his guilt tearing at his stomach as he looked at the teen. Oh, God, why had he come? He couldn't face him. Not after what he had done to him. Fear had him tight in its claws as he took a shaky step back away from the doorway. Why did he want him there after this? Why didn't he hate him, fear him? His eyes stared back at the Amazon, scared of what he had done to him. Yet, another desperate part of him screamed at his mind to go to him. If he really care, then he wouldn't be standing there like he was, he would be there at his side. But, he wasn't, and he couldn't get himself to. He hated himself for this. Hell, he would've gladly killed himself for doing this if he had choice to... Well, didn't he? The thought fluttered across his mind as his eyes lowered themselves to the ground. What had he ever done to deserve to live? All he had ever done was hurt people, and that wasn't even the worse part. No, the worse part was that he didn't care.
After the number of crimes he had committed, even after the number of people he had tortured and killed, they never even crossed his mind. He never regretted anything he had done to cause them all their suffering. The thought suddenly made him sick to his stomach, wincing ever so slightly as his memory went back to ever time he had carelessly harmed another person. What gave him the right to live after all he had done? His eyes slowly glided back up to Ken's, his face slightly paled as he finally got himself to push forward. Practically dragging his feet across the linoleum flooring, Frost forced a smile onto his face as he came up to the teen's bed. Swallowing hard as his throat suddenly became dry, he hesitantly rested his hand on Wonderboy's. "H-Hey, Kenny", he said quietly, unable to look the hero in the eye. "He's a trooper....Ken....I'll find out who did this to you and make them pay. I swear to God I will." her brother looked at her and made an attempt at shaking his head. She opened her mouth to speak some more but he looked back at Drew, obviously not wanting to discuss this with her.
Wonderboy smiled weakly at Drew, lacing their fingers together. His smile faltered when his crush practically refused to look at him. "I-I missed you.....w-where did you go?" he asked as he gave the slightlest and smallest tug on his boyfriend's hand. He wanted him to look at him. It hadn't been Drew that had hurt him. Sure, the first person had looked like Drew, but he knew it hadn't been him. The ice-controlling teen would never hurt him. Never, never. The second person who had hurt him....The young Amazon didn't want to think about it. He slightly tightened his grip on his crush's hand. "I love you."

They've got nothing better to do than put their noses where they don't belong." the teenage leader snarled as everyone looked his way. He glanced over at Ken and shot him a quick smile, narrowing his eyes at Drew, whom he couldn't remember ever seeing before. His eyes went onto Charles, who was checking a few more things. "Well, doc? Can he go home today or no?" a frown was on his face and his brows were furrowed. He hated the idea of a member of Nebula being his team member's doctor, but Night Shadow was the best doctor there was. He had no choice but to be fine with it. "No, I suggest he stays over-night," Mr. Caster replied as he gently rubbed the teenage Amazon's shoulder, "And don't worry, I'm not telling any of this to Nebula. This is none of their business. The Roundhouse was an interresting place to go during the Christmas time of the year. The lights that were shining red and green and the music was playing some sort of pop, hip hop version of Christmas songs. Surprisingly, people were dancing to it. Well, the dancing people were drunk, but still they danced on. Arthur sighed and leaned back against the wall, a bottle of water in his hand. He would have been drinking too, despite the fact that he was sixteen, but he wasn't exactly human. He was half human half plant. He couldn't stomach alcohol or any form of food or drinks besides water and sunlight. If he ate or drank anything besides water and sunlight, he would become severly sick. It wasn't fun at all. And it wasn't how Arthur Milo wanted to spend his time. He had taken on Armando Milo's last name recently. The man had created him afterall, so that technically made him the teen's father. Despite his hatred for the Nebula member, the plant-controlling teenager had decided that he needed a last name and had, well, just chosen that one. He wasn't sure how Teddy felt about it, only recently telling his boyfriend about his decision. Harvey, Josh, and the other members of Young Justice and Rider's Deck? Well, let's just say they hadn't been that pleased. With Armando being his "father", it gave the dark-haired boy two siblings. Kyla and Kyle were twin children of Armando Milo.
Feral took a drink from the water bottle and then capped it. Why was he here alone? He wasn't quite sure. He should have asked Teddy to go with him, but hadn't. He hadn't really searched for anyone to go and keep him company like he usually did. He had seen Carlos leave the Rider's Deck and Young Justice base earlier that day. He had wanted to follow the banshee, but had chosen to give him space. Lately something had been bugging his teammate, ever since that damn mission to the Testing Facility. It worried almost everyone at the base, but no one asked what was wrong. They knew that if they asked, the white-haired ghost would simply dismiss the subject.
The young villain--er hero? What was he? Neutral now? He wasn't sure. --pushed himself away from leaning on the wall and walked over to a corner of the club that had a shot, yet long chusioned couch around a small table. He sat down and set his water on the table. A few girls looked over and him and giggled to their friends when the teen's eyes went onto them. Gosh, what was with him getting the attention of females? He didn't like them. Well, he liked them as friends, but nothing more. He prefered older guys like Theodore, who happened to be hundreds of years older than him but looked to be in his teens. The girls walked over in short striper dresses. Ugh, sluts. Just what he needed....not. A sigh escaped Arthur as he looked up at the girls as they said hello.
"I don't suggest standing so close to me," he said his dark eyes emotionlessly gazing at them. He felt a sharp pain near his right eye as the mark of the Golden Dragon appeared, trailing the side of his face from his eye to his chin. The girls took a few steps back. "I'm a real monster." He added the last part with a growl. The girls squealed and ran off, causing several eyes to go over to where the half-plant sat. Feral looked over at the people staring at him and shrugged. "Drunk sluts." A few whispers filled the air, but people looked away.
"Was that really necessary, Arthy?", said Theodore as he came up behind his boyfriend. He was surprised to see him there since he couldn't actually drink alcohol. Or, anything at all for that matter. But, it surprised him even more how he had treated those girls. He wasn't usually like that, though that statement had become less true recently. For some reason, the plant-controlling teen had become extremely distant from practically everyone. And, it kind of hurt the blonde immortal. Every time he tried to get him to talk about it or hang around him for a long period of time, he would just push him away, and it hurt him. He hated being pushed away and it made it even worse when Arthur did it to him. Why couldn't he just tell him what was wrong? Was it really that bad? Grabbing a chair and swinging it towards the teen's table, Teddy sat down across from his boyfriend. He desperately wanted to help him, but he couldn't do anything if he didn't know what was wrong.
Slowly reaching his hand out and resting it on Arthur's, Theodore smiled as he thought of how to bring up the issue without upsetting him. Making a quick glance at the fading dragon that was stretching across his boyfriend's face, he gently brushed the boy's hair out of the way as his fingers traced the faint outline of the dragon. "I always thought that was cool.", he commented as he put his hand back down, and waited for his boyfriend to say something.
Arthur nearly jumped as Teddy's voice seemed to come out of nowhere. The plant frowned at his crush's question. Why did he care? It wasn't any of his bussiness. "Yes, it was," he replied rather coldly as he took another sip from his water bottle. He was glad he had scared the crap out of those girls. They had been annoying and deserved getting scared. The teenager was brought back to reality when he felt the touch of his boyfriend's hand. He pulled his hand from underneath Theodore's rather quickly, stuffing it into the pockets of his black leather jacket along with his other hand. Underneath the jacket, the teen was wearing a plain green t-shirt, dark denim jeans, and green and black sneakers. Nothing special. The teen blew on some strands of his black streaked with green hair, trying to get it out of his face when Teddy seemed to read his mind and brush the hair away. Closing his eyes, the member of Rider's Deck enjoyed the touch of his crush...at least until he heard the immortal speak.
Feral's eyes snapped open as he pushed Theodore's hand away. He brushed his fingers across where his boyfriend had been touching. Great. He was talking about that damn dragon tattoo thing. Why the hell would he think it was cool? It made no sense to the plant-controlling teen, who looked away from the blonde, frowning. "It's not cool.....its a curse...." the teen half-snarled. He wasn't really aiming his snarl at Teddy, more at the mark. Ken had done some research on it and apparently it marked people "chosen for greatness" as the Amazon had put it. It sounded more like a damn curse to the teen. Sighing, Arthur brought his eyes back to his boyfriend. "What do you want anyways? You approached me for some reason, spill." Yeah, it was bluntly and harshly said, but the teen wasn't in the mood to fool around.
Stating he was a monster to the girls hadn't been a complete lie. Arthur Milo had been created to be a killing machine by Armando Milo. He couldn't run from what he had been created to do, no matter how hard he tried. Lately his anger had increased to dangerous levels to where one time he had argued with Harvey and almost hit his leader. He had once almost killed a guy he had been attempting to save. He knew Nebula was loving it, if they saw it on the news. He knew people were hating him, or rather hating Feral.
Pulling away, hurt and surprised by his boyfriend's harsh response, Theodore slightly lowered his head, not sure what to say. This wasn't anything like the Arthur he knew. This wasn't his Arthur. Biting his lip as he ran a hand through his hair, the blonde teen hesitantly looked back up at the other boy. "Arthur, please, tell me what's wrong. This isn't like you.", he said quietly, watching him as he moved his chair to the other side. His hand hesitantly reached up to stroke his cheek again, though he was nervous that he'd just have his hand swatted away. He couldn't understand what was wrong with his boyfriend. He had never seen him act like this before, and it seemed to be getting worse every day.
{(Sorry it's so short. ><)}
Arthur's hand quickly reached out and grasped Theodore's wrist tightly and roughly. He looked over at his crush and almost instantly released his hand after seeing the look on his face. Was he seriously worried about the plant? That couldn't be right. How could someone care about a monster like him? What if he hurt them? He wouldn't be able to ever live it down. "Th-there's something I have to tell you....you're not going to like it...." His voice was shakey, unsure. Suddenly the anger he had before vanished. It was as if he couldn't stay angry around his boyfriend. Still, he had to do this. He had to say these words. If the blonde immortal wanted answers, then he would get some....whether he ended up liking them or not was not the teenager's problem. He couldn't afford to hurt his friends at the base, or even the faint friends he had made that weren't members of Rider's Deck or Young Justice. Dylan, Sai, Cab, Collin...He thought those were their names. He wasn't sure. He had met Collin when she had visited the base, but had met Dylan, Sai, and Cab on that mission to the Testing Facility....which had also been when he had first officially talked to his dad, Armando. There was also Connor, a "friend" he knew from Coalfield that had just recently come to Jump City. He couldn't risk hurting them....He couldn't...."I'm leaving Rider's Deck."
The words seemed to float around in the air, hell everything seemed to. The world became foggy to the teen...Did he have tears in his eyes? No, couldn't be. Shakily he lifted a hand and touched underneath his eye....he did have tears in them...He could feel them...He tried to focus on the image of his boyfriend, but couldn't. He put his eyes on the ground, clasping his hands together and holding them in-between his legs, which were parted at the time. It wasn't that he didn't want to be a hero, which Rider's Deck was slowly but surely becoming. He--he couldn't become a hero. It wasn't possible for him. He was a monster, a born-- no, created killing machine. There was already a spot for him in a group that worked for Nebula. The Extermination Squad was its name. His dad had even offered to train him, enhance his powers. The dark-haired boy was going to take up that offer. If nothing else, he could secretly give information to Rider's Deck, Young Justice, and the Teen Titans without anyone knowing it was him. And if he ever became purely evil, like Milo planned on, then he trusted his friends to do what was right and kill him...well burn him, but it was the same thing in his mind. He trusted Harvey, he trusted Teddy, hell he trusted everyone to know and be able to put their pasts with him behind them and end his life if he ever became a true killing machine. If they didn't, then he prayed he would have the strength to take his own life.
Feral bit his lip and fiddled with his fingers, not wanting to hear if Teddy had a reply to that or not. The immortal was one person he could never, would never harm. He couldn't even imagine what he would do if he hurt his crush. "You know when people say 'its not you, its me'? It literally is me...I'm turning into some freak, some monster...I'm going to be hurting a lot of people and I can't bare to hurt you...I love you...hell, I'm in love with you... I can't hurt you...I just can't...." He lowered his head and ran his hands through his hair as he started to cry. He couldn't remember ever crying before. He never cried. Nothing ever upset him this much. The thought of loosing Theodore, or rather letting him go....was too much to bear...."I'm so so sorry. Please forgive me." he sobbed as he felt himself shaking a little. He mentally cussed, cursed, screamed at himself. He couldn't loose Teddy, but in order to protect him he had to let him go. Tears still coming out his eyes and his body still trembling a little, Arthur looked up at Teddy, not sure where he found the strength to pull his eyes from the ground. He opened his mouth and forced out the two words he had never wanted to hear. "We're over."
Blinking in confusion as Arthur spoke, the immortal frantically tried to understand what was happening. He was leaving the team? But, why?! It didn't make any sense why he'd even think about doing that. They were such a great team, so why leave? Did something happen that made him think he had to leave? Did he himself do something wrong? "Wait, Arthur. Just-- hold on. W-Why are you leaving? This doesn't make any sense. Look, lets just go back to the base and think this through, okay? You don't want to do something you'll regret.", Theodore said, desperately trying to find a way to convince his boyfriend to stay. If he just got him back to the base, then maybe he could get the support of the others to change his mind. Even if they weren't there, though, then he'd do everything he could to get the plant to re-think his decision. He couldn't just let him leave the team.....But, if he did, then he'd be right there by his side. He couldn't stand the thought of leaving the dark-haired boy, and no matter what, he'd always be on his side. He'd follow him wherever he went and do his best to lead him on the right path, and maybe, he'd be able to get him to return back to the team.
"Arthur, please, don't think like that. You aren't a monster, okay? You're just different, we all are. Don't isolate yourself like this, please. You're scaring me, Arthy.", he said, his voice becoming a bit shaky and uneven as his concern heightened. He knew the his boyfriend was going through a bit of a rough time a the moment, but no matter how many times he had asked what was wrong, he never told him. But, now it finally came out. Only, it didn't make any sense. Why would he think he was a monster? What would make him even think that? People went through changes and their personality would change a bit, but that didn't mean he was becoming a monster. Though, could he have the cause and affect in the wrong order? Was he isolating himself because he was becoming this so-called monster? The blonde teen thought about this for a moment, but refused to believe it. He knew Arthur better than anyone and he knew he wasn't becoming a monster. He was too nice to ever do anything bad to anyone. Sure, there might've been times where he was mischievous, but who wasn't? Theodore opened his mouth to say something else to hopefully comfort the dark-haired teen when Arthur's words reached his ears. Staring at Arthur with a blank expression, Theodore's arms fell limply to his side, slumping over slightly as the words echoed in his head. 'We're over.' No, that couldn't be right. He had to have missed heard him, or something! Everything around him just became a blurred mess as he tried to make sense of it all. The music become a noisy mess, pounding in his ears and making everything sound muffled. The lights burned his eyes as he continued to stare blankly at his boyfriend -- or now, ex-boyfriend. He didn't know what to say. What could he say. His boyfriend just broke up with him. And, what was worse, he broke up after he told him he loved him! Teddy's mind practically had a complete melt down at this, gibbering nonsense and incoherent things through his head. This was just too much for him. He was losing hisArthur, and for what? Because he thought he was suddenly going rogue or something? Suddenly shaking his head, Teddy grabbed for Arthur's hand, holding onto it tightly. "No, Arthur, please don't do this. You can't-- I can't--", he strained to speak, closing his eyes tightly as he tried to force the tears back. Though, what else was to be expected? His heart was crumbling right in front of him. His breaths became rough and heavy as he struggled to keep himself together, refusing to let the one he loved slip away so easily. "Please, just-- Let's talk about this, please. I'm begging you, Arthur. Don't do this. I-- I can't live without you. Please, Arthur. I love you.", he pleaded, look up at the dark-haired boy as his eyes became misty with tears, blurring his vision. He couldn't handle the heartbreak, he knew he couldn't. In the four centuries he had been alive he had never met anyone who influence his life so much. He actually had a reason to live. He wasn't just living just to live, he was living for Arthur, and that was all he'd ever live for.
Arthur forced his eyes to stay on Teddy, despite tears coming down at his boy--er ex-boyfriend's reaction. He was actually stunned by the blonde's reaction. H-He loved him back? He hadn't expected that. Who could possibly love someone like him? He didn't pull back when the immortal grabbed his hand, instead he laced their fingers together. He bit his lip. He didn't want to break up with Theodore, he was the best thing that had ever happened to him....but he had to protect him. Nothing else mattered. As long as the blonde lived on, he would be happy. The teen couldn't bring himself to speak, he was crying too much. He didn't want to become a monster. He didn't want to leave Rider's Deck. He didn't want to break up with Teddy. He had no choice, though. He had to do this, he just had to. He opened his mouth to speak but quickly closed it as more tears came out.
Feral felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. He tightly closed his eyes. No! No, not now! He pulled his hand away from his crush's and stood up. "I-I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!" he said quickly as he ran out of the club. He pushed past as many people as he had to. He had to get out of there quickly, before he hurt anyone. Thankfully it was late enough at night, and on a weekday for that matter, that hardly anyone was out. The teen stumbled his way out of the front door and started walking down the street. He stopped, panting as the pain in the back of his head continued to throb. He rested an arm against the building and walked down the side of it, so no one could see him. His vision was getting blurry, and he had no clue as to why.
He could hear voices around him-- young, most likely teenagers, and male, certainly male. "What you doing by yourself? Aye, freak?!" one of the snarled as he put his hands on the teen's shoulders and shoved him against the wall. The plant-controlling teen let out a cry. His whole body seemed to be on fire, and these guys weren't helping at all. He focused his eyes on his hand. No fire. At least he knew he wasn't literally on fire, though he still felt like his whole body was. He could see the young men as blurry figures. They seemed well fit, and in a lot better condition than the plant. There were five of them. Another one grabbed the teen by his shirt and shoved his back against the wall.
"Think you can get away with targeting out city next, huh?!" he sneered. Oh great, they were Nebula believers. That wasn't good news at all. "Well, how about we stop you right here and right now?"
Arthur's hand started to shake a little, begging to turn into some sort of weapon to kill these guys. "G-Get away....I-I don't want to hurt you." The boys laughed. Their laughter died, though, when the half-plant's eyes lit up red. The whites of his eyes, the pupils-- everything was glowing red. The one guy released his grip on the teenager and backed up. Feral mentally told them he was sorry as his hands turned into two long thorns. He could hear his father's voice in his head, praising him and telling him what a monster he was. He couldn't control himself anymore. He created a wall of vines and kept the boys where they were. They screamed, shouted, and cried out...but no one came to there rescue. The first one got his head chopped off, the second one's heart was pulled out of his chest, the third had his limbs chopped off and quickly bled to death, the fourth got stapped in the chest and dropped quickly. The fifth and last one pleaded with the plant and screamed for help. He backed up against a wall, Feral walking over to him. The teen grabbed the boy by the shoulder and held him still. He felt new power surging through him as his thorn started to rotate at rapid speed. He couldn't remember being able to do that before. His eyes emotionless and glazed over, Arthur stabbed the guy in the head with the rotating thorn. Blood splatted all over the teen, mostly on his face.

Hush little hero, don’t you cry. I’m going to stay by your side. I won’t let you die. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. Let’s continue to hide and play. They won’t find us until the end of the day. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. You’re going to fly so high up in the sky. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. Can’t you hear them coming third? The bad man has a big knife. He’s going to cut you tonight. Your blood is going to burn in Hell. Will you be okay? I cannot tell. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. You are going to die. When they bury you in the ground, you will not make a sound. Devil’s eye. Devil’s mouth. Devil’s tail. Devil’s got you now. Crimson red blood filling the sky. We are all going to die. So hush little hero, don’t say a word. The pain you feel will never end, not until you reach the bend. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. I’m not gonna be by your side…

Ken pulled his black hoodie with the Young Justice initials on it on and over his black shirt with a few graphics on it. The teen was also dressed in gray shorts and black sneakers. He had just stepped out of the base and into the freezing cold morning all for some stupid jog up and down the docks. Thankfully, it gave him an excuse to see Drew. His crush's base was somewhere on the docks, and hopefully it wouldn't take the young Amazon too long to find it. He had been dating the villain for....more than a month now, was it? He hadn't really kept track, figuring it wasn't that important. The teenager started his jog, eyes looking around at each warehouse in order to see which one looked familiar. It didn't take long. His memory soon picked up on which one belonged to his boyfriend.
Jogging up to the door, Wonderboy digged through the pockets of his sweatshirt. He pulled out a key, identical to the one Frost had. He had gotten it by memorizing how the key his crush used looked like and then using some of the Young Justice tech to create one. He had already been at the base two times. One time was to decorate it for Christmas and surprise Drew, who had been not the happiest at the new decorations, and the second time had been because Drew had brought him here. Unlocking the door, the teenage hero slightly opened the door quietly and poked his head in. It was empty...where was Drew? He opened the door fully and walked in, taking a good look around. The decorations were still up and the snowglobe he had given his crush was sitting, perched on a table near the ice-controlling teen's bed. A smile crept onto the Amazon's face. He was glad Drew had liked the gift.
Looking around, the young member of Young Justice could sense that something just wasn't right. He was alone, yet it was as if he felt someone's breath on the back of his neck. He quickly turned around, but no one was there. Sighing, he walked over to the snowglobe, picking it up and shaking it a little. He watched as the fake snow fell around the angel. He set it down and sat down on Drew's bed, waiting for his crush to return.

Hush little hero, don’t you fear. I’m going to hold you near. Close your lips, hold them tight. If he finds us, do not fight. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. The blade is going to pierce the world. Do you hear what I heard? Devil’s eye. Devil’s mouth. Devil’s tail. Devil’s got you now. Time, time, going by so fast. Will you let me pass? Hush little hero, don’t you cry. You are going bye bye. Walk up to the gates of Hell. Can you tell? You are gone. Hush little hero, don’t say a word. The Devil’s gonna get you if you’re heard. If you’re next, don’t be third. Life and death can all be heard. Hush little hero, don’t you cry. Everything’s gonna be alright. Leave the light, come tonight. You will find the darkness bright. Twirling the knife in his hand, Drew calmly leaned against the wall of his hidden room. He had never showed this to Ken for a number of reasons, and he was never planning to either. It was a room that was a hidden connection to the warehouse he lived in and he used it for a number of reasons. Today, it was his personal torture chamber. The villain smirked as he listened to the soft whimpers that came from the corner of the room where a fair skinned brunette sat, tied to a chair, gagged and blind folded. After a few moments of listening to her muffled pleads and sobs, Frost slowly walked over to her, running the edge of the knife across the base of her neck, though making sure not to cut into her pale skin. At least, not yet. His fingers slowly untied the piece of cloth that he had pulled across her mouth, whispering in her ear, "Now, be a good girl this time and don't make a sound, or this little knife will go straight through your damned heart. Understand?" The trembling girl nodded her head as she bit down on her lip, trying to keep herself from crying out. A grin spread itself across Drew's face as he walked back in front of the girl, making sure to keep the point of the knife on her skin.
Pulling his own chair up in front of her, the dark-haired teen sat down and slowly pulled the blind fold away from her eyes, revealing the swollen black eye he had given her earlier. Seeing how much damage his beating had done made a sense of pride swell in his chest, along with the joy of having so much control over someone. She feared him, and he knew it. And, it gave him a thrill of excitement as he looked down at her. "Now, tell me. Where is it? I know you know where it is, so tell me, and I'll let you live. More or less.", he sneered, as he scraped the knife's edge over the skin of her leg, cutting a thin but long cut in her leg. The girl whimpers became louder as she bite her tongue and tears rolled down her cheek. Frost calmly watched the girl with a glint of enjoyment in his dark eyes, smiling at the line of blood that ran down her leg. "So, you gonna tell me, Sweet-Cakes?", he asked again, his voice smooth but cold. The young brunette violently shook her head as she refused to speak, the smug look on his face faltering.
Drew scowled at the girl as his hand flew up, the back of his smacking the side of her face, making her cry out. "Dammit, I've had enough of this fucking game! Tell me what I want to know, or I will kill you, you fucking whore!", he yelled, standing up quickly, knocking his chair over. The enraged ice-controlling teen switched the knife to his other hand and pushed it deep into her thigh, releasing his hand and leaving the blade imbedded in her leg as she screamed out. He refused to let some low-life girl keep him from what he wanted. He was going to get the information he needed or this was the last thing this pathetic bitch wasn't going to remember....Had he heard something? Ken's eyes looked around. He was alone, yet he could have sworn his ears had picked up some sort of whimpering. Standing up, the teen walked along the wall, the side of his face pressed against it and listening. He heard someone cry out as if they had gotten struck. A female voice, young. Also...was that Drew's voice he heard? No, couldn't be. Right when the young Amazon turned to walk back over to the bed...he heard a scream. Something certainly was not right. His ears picked up on it and found the entrance to the room, sealed off. Why would Drew hide a room from him? Oh well, time to think about that later. Whether he had a huge crush on the ice-controlling teen or not, Drew was a villain and the hero had to remember that. Right now, his boyfriend was hurting someone and he had to stop seeing Drew as Drew and start seeing him as Frost, the super-villain. He had to become Wonderboy, proud member of Young Justice, and save this girl.
The dark-haired teenager grabbed onto the door, his super-strength allowing his hands to bend the metal, or whatever material it was made of, and get a good grasp on it. With a grunt, Wonderboy pulled back on it. He heard a few snaps and other sounds and soon managed to pull the door off of the wall completely and throw it away. He quickly turned his head around, wondering which direction he had thrown it. It was now laying on the main door that led to the docks. Great, he was trapped in there. At least it hadn't damaged anything else. Looking back over, it took less than a minute for the young hero's eyes to take in what was going on. A girl was strapped to some chair and bleeding, and Drew was standing over her as if he was torturing her. He needed to put a stop to this and do it fast. He had to ignore the fact that he might hurt Drew and focus on saving the girl.
"By the order of Young Justice, freeze now Frost!" Ken yelled as he flew over and used his super-strength to push Drew away. He covered the girl's mouth with one hand and grasped the knife with another, looking her in the eye. "You're going to be okay," he said calmly as he gently pulled the knife out, using his other hand to muffle any screams she might let out. He threw the knife far away on the other side of the room and stood up. He knelt down behind her and got to work with untieing her. Drew had been too busy listening to the girl's screams and pleads to hear the sound of his hidden door being ripped from it's hinges. Though, he probably wouldn't have heard it even if she hadn't been screaming. His frustration and anger was flaring by now and was pretty much oblivious to everything as he usually was when he got into his fits of rage. That was the main problem with him. He couldn't control his anger, and he would even go into blackouts if it got that bad. But, either way, he didn't notice Ken's appearance until he was suddenly thrown into the wall. The villain cried out in pain as he came into contact with the cement wall, dazed by the sudden attack. He looked up at his boyfriend as he got to work with untying the girl, which sent a wave of rage through him.
No, he wasn't going to let this bitch get away. He had worked too long and too hard to find someone who had the information he needed and he wasn't going to let he get away. Screw the fact that Ken was his boyfriend. If he wanted to play Villains and Heros, then he was going to make sure he would get what he wanted. Frost growled at Wonderboy as he shakily got to his feet, trying to shake the dizziness off that had come with the impact. "Get away from her!", he snarled as he charged Ken, shoving his shoulder into his side. His arms quickly froze into sharp, spear-like icicles as he stood in front of the crying girl. If this hero wanted to get to her, then he'd have to fight him for her. Ken had actually not expected to get attacked back by Drew. He had kind of hoped that the impact against the wall would have knocked the other teen out. Sadly, it hadn't. The young hero looked up from the spot where he had been pushed to by Drew. So the ice-controlling teen wanted a fight? The more he thought about it the more the dark-haired boy realized that he didn't really want to fight Drew. He knew he would loose. Sure he had super-strength, but whether they were dating or not, Frost wouldn't hold back. The teen had learned that quickly when he had angered his boyfriend and ended up getting slapped or smacked in the face several times. Whether he had super-strength or not, he wasn't invinsible and he had barely a year's worth of experience as a hero. He had only what he had learned in Coalfield, and even that wasn't enough. If he fought Drew, he would loose. Simple as that. He had to fight, though. He had to do his job as a member of Young Justice. He would use every fighting technique he knew or had seen others perform if he had to. There was no question to it, no thinking needed. He was a hero and this was his job. Fight or flight? No choice. He had to fight. It was his duty.
Wonderboy's eyes darted to the ice spears Drew had ready. If one of those pierced him in a vital place or organ, he would need medical attention and he would need it fast. He wouldn't be able to get to the Young Justice base, it was on the whole other end of the docks. He doubted Drew would do anything if he got critically injured. His crush would probably be too upset with him. Why was he even still dating him? Ken had thrown "I love you" at him on several occasions...but had he ever really given a clear response to that or had he just shrugged it off? The teenage hero wasn't sure about that anymore.
Shaking the thoughts out of his head, Ken's hand went and touched the side of his neck. He wasn't aware that he was doing it, his eyes and mind were focused on Drew, waiting to see if the villain was going to make any move to attack him. Didn't look like it. He just seemed to be fixed on keeping the girl. What was so important about her anyways? Why did he seem to insist on keeping her when all he was doing was hurting her? The Amazon bit his lip. He wanted answers and he was determined to get them. He felt a sharp pain in the side of his neck, but gave it no emotion. He stayed where he was, kneeled on the ground, eyes emotionlessly staring at Drew and the girl. He knew what was happening. His mark was appearing. He had what was known as the mark of the Golden Dragon on him, which just looked like a normal tattoo, but it was anything but normal. He wasn't quite sure about anything that had to do with it really, though, but had been assigned recently by Josh to do research on it after finding out that several members of Young Justice, Rider's Deck, and a few Titans and loners had the mark on them too.
Slowly removing his hand from his neck, the mark visible now, Ken made up his mind. The girl was bleeding and needed medical attention. He could call for backup. He should have called for backup, but he didn't. In one quick motion, he was on his feet and grabbed Drew by the collar of his shirt and slammed him against the wall, pointing his fist right at his face and holding it back, ready to strike if needed. His eyes looked into Drew's, as if daring his boyfriend to stab him with those spears. The mark of the Golden Dragon vanished and appeared near his right eye, trailing down the side of his face from his forheard to his chin. He ignored the pain the mark caused. "Stand down," he sneered, narrowing his eyes at Frost.Drew stared at Ken with widened eyes, shocked by the sudden counter-attack he had received. He never had the Amazon fight him back on anything. And, the sudden change in attitude boiled his blood even more. But, something kept him from doing anything to harm his "boyfriend", and it wasn't the threat or the look on Ken's face. Even though his lips were still in the form of a snarl, Frost slightly relaxed, his anger slowly receding. Why was he even mad at him? He had interrupted his "interrogation", but the girl was still there, right? Wait, where was she? Quickly looking over at where he had last seen the girl, a wave of panic washed over him as he saw the chair empty. "No!", he yelled, as he turned his head towards the door where the girl was making her escape. No, he couldn't let her get away. He needed the information she held and he wasn't about to let her go. Growling as his knee rammed into the chest of Wonderboy, Drew's temper flared back up again. He had worked forever to find someone with the information he needed, and this damn bastard just let it go.
"Get the fuck off me, you faggot!", he practically screamed as he slashed his ice-dagger at Ken's arm. His anger now had control over him, his rage fully blinding him. He no longer saw Ken as his boyfriend, he saw him as an enemy. His rage burned inside of him as he went after Ken again, no longer caring if he hurt him. The Drew Ken knew was gone. He was buried under the his anger that brought out a new, vicious Drew that rarely showed so much at one time. Ken hadn't even been aware of the girl attempting to escape. He hadn't even known he was distracting Drew. It all happened in one quick moment. He felt a jab in his chest as the wind was knocked out of him. He didn't even get a chance to breath before pain seared in his arm, causing him to let go of Frost and cradle his arm. His brain worked over time, his eyes darting around to try to figure out what had happened. He was bleeding, a semi-deep wound on his arm. His chest hurt like hell too, most likely bruised. What had been the cause of his injuries? His eyes fell onto Drew, one of the ice spears had blood on them....most likely the Amazon's blood. What was going on? Drew had actually....hurt him...He had attacked him....What the hell?
Wonderboy mentally smacked himself back to reality. He could think about all that later. He had to make sure the girl was safe, though Frost did appear to want to hurt him more than get the girl back. His mind darted back to when he had first found the secret room. He had thrown the door against the main door, blocking any means of escape. Crap! The teenage hero jumped to his feet and avoided Drew, flying over to the girl. He put his hand on his shoulder and gently pushed her faster ahead. "C'mon! I'll get the door."......How was he going to do that? Well, he would make a door. He didn't have the strength to move the other door, so instead he grasped the wall and used his super-strength to tear it apart. "Run! Run and keep running!" His mind continued to dart around. How would she get help?....Josh! Josh would be jogging by now! "Call out for Batboy, he'll find you and take you to a hospital! Now go!"
Adrenaline pumping through his system, the dark-haired boy turned his attention back to Frost. He had to keep him from getting the girl. He mentally pushed back the pain he was still feeling from his wounds. He put himself in-between Drew and the way out. "I'll only say this one more time, Drew. Stand down. I don't want to hurt you." On the first page of our story the future seemed so bright then this thing turned out so evil I don't know why I'm still surprised even angels have their wicked schemes and you take that to new extremes but you'll always be my hero even though you've lost your mind
<><><><><>
Drew's hands trembled with rage as he watched Ken help the girl escape, but he no longer had an interest in the girl now. He had a new target. "Then, you should've thought of that before you came.", he snarled as he went charging at the hero again. Swinging his arm towards Wonderboy, Frost threw the ice daggers he held in his hand, adding shards to follow it as it left his hands. The anger that burned in him kept him going, preventing him from even thinking of what he was doing. The Drew that cared for Ken was pushed away and buried under the emotions that burst out of him. It was his fault for coming. His fault for ruining everything he had worked to get, and he wasn't about to let him walk away without some sort of payment. If he wanted to suddenly be the hero here, then fine. He'd just have to play the villain then. Frost didn't even hesitate as he sent the other ice dagger flying towards Ken, skidding to a stop as he came within ten feet of him. He didn't care if they severely wounded him or not. Hell, a part of him wanted them to. But, his aim had been a bit lousy.
As he had swung his arm to throw the icy projectiles, a shard flew off course, flying right at the snow globe Drew had received from Ken. But, even as the shard shattered the globe and knocked it to the floor, the dark-haired teen gave little acknowledge of it. His attention was on Wonderboy, not some gift, some knick-knack that meant little to this crazed and enraged Frost.
<><><><><><>
try and touch me so I can scream at you not to touch me run out the room and I'll follow you like a lost puppy baby, without you, I'm nothing, I'm so lost, hug me. you hit me twice, yeah, but who's countin'? I may have hit you three times, I'm startin' to lose count but together, we'll live forever. our love is crazy, we're nuts, but I refused counselin' ain't shit you can do about it with you I'm in my f-ckin' mind, without you, I'm out it Hush little hero, don’t you cry.
***
Ken's eyes widened and he quickly dodged the first ice dagger, his arm getting scrapped badly by a shard that had come off of it.
***

Ken walked around the mall. It was closing and he still hadn't found something to buy for Drew. That's right, you read correct. Drew. The teen had quickly gotten a crush on the villain and had somehow ended up dating him. Well, he considered them officially dating, but he wasn't sure how Drew felt about it all. The young hero had been at the mall since it had first opened and now that it was closing, began to feel rushed. He had to find something for his crush! Christmas was...well a few weeks away, but still! He had even gotten the courage to ask Josh for the money. Hell, he had found gifts for practically every member of Young Justice and even a few gifts for members of Rider's Deck and the Titans, yet nothing for his boyfriend. He hadn't been thrilled about getting stuff for Rider's Deck, but he had been present at the meeting for the temporary alliance and thought it best to get them gifts. Spread some holiday cheer!
Wonderboy looked around the mall. Stores were decorated with Christmas themes. Some even had snow machines going and spitting out fake snow. Outside, real snow was falling, the teenage hero realized. Great, just great. He hated the cold, even though he knew Drew loved it. The dark-haired boy wasn't really dressed for the weather. He was in a simple black sweatshirt with the Young Justice intials, "YJ", printed in red ink on the back, an orange t-shirt underneath, and gray denim jeans with black sneakers. The teen walked past a window and stopped, looking in it. A snowglobe shop?...perfect! He quickly walked inside.
"Sorry kid, store's closing."
"Please, I just need to get something for a very very special person," the young boy pleaded to the store manager. "What you have in this store seems perfect!"
The old man chuckled as his daughter came out from the back. "Sounds like young love. Let him take a look around dad."
...Did he love Drew? Ken was taken off gaurd by the girl's comment. He knew it was probably to early in their relationship to say whether he loved the ice-controlling teen. He wanted to say that he loved him...but maybe he was just desperate to feel loved. He had been housed in some damn sex trade for so long. He was used to men whispering that they loved him into his ears and then doing foul things to him. The thought of love...just seemed so distant to the Amazon. Could someone even love him? He doubted it. It was etched into the back of his mind that he could never be loved along with those damn horrifying memories.
"Alright. It's Christmas, so what the hay? Look around and find something you want." the manager said as a smile stretched across the Young Justice member's face.
Wonderboy thanked the man and quickly started looking. He had to find the perfect one. Nothing else. It had to be perfect cause it would belong to Drew eventually. Most of the one's ge saw had typical Christmas scenes in them, a few having the Teen Titan's Tower in them. The teen's dark eyes fell onto one on a shelf. He couldn't reach it and tried several times. Eventually the store manager chuckled and walked over. He grabbed it and handed it to the teenager. "This one's perfect..."
"Take it," the manager said a slight glimmer in his eyes, "Take it young hero."
"E-Excuse me...?"
"I worked in Coalfield before moving to Jump City. I remember you and the team you work for." he explained, "Not everyone believes Nebula. I know the good you've done. Now take it. That globe is free. Give it to the one your heart belongs to. I'll have my daughter wrap it."
After she had wrapped it, the manager's daughter handed it to Ken with a smile. "Merry Christmas."
"You did a good job in Coalfield," the manager said as he walked Ken to the door, "Don't let anyone tell you differently. This city, it has the Titans just like Coalfield has you. I fear Nebula is targeting here next. Now protect this city like you did in Coalfield. Nebula is stronge, the Titans can't take them down alone. They'll need your help." He gave the teen a hug and then watched as he walked out into the mall. "Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas!" Ken called back. In his hands, wrapped in a green and red stripped box with a red ribbon on top, was a snowglobe on a silver stand, with a small...glass, ice-looking angel in it, holding up a star.
So.....why was he here again? Drew quietly walked through the mall, ignoring the obnoxious Christmas decorations that were scattered all over the place. It was like some kind of Christmas monster had puked everywhere. He had originally come here to maybe rob a few stores if they had something interesting, but he honestly didn't feel like doing much of anything right now. Though, he wasn't sure why. He couldn't think of a single time when he didn't want to cause mayhem and trouble. Man, was he losing his villainious touch or what? He hadn't really done anything that entire week. Nothing to get him on the news or even the newspaper! Actually, as he thought about it, he hadn't really done anything since he started "dating" that Ken guy. Frost frowned at the thought, slightly slowing his pace. That hero brat couldn't be the reason for this, could he? Besides, he was just some guy he was interested in and nothing more. Then, why did his face become hot and red whenever he thought about the teen? Why did his chest suddenly start feeling weird whenever he saw him? Like right now.
Drew tilted his head to the side as he spotted his boyfriend, wondering wh he was carrying such a ridiculous looking package with him. Yeah, he knew it was Christmas and all, but still. He wasn't exactly a holiday person. In fact, he pretty much hated Christmas. It was too noisy, too bright, too annoying, and he found nothing about it that was special. Though, he didn't exavtly have the greatest Christmas experiences in the past. His mother never let them celebrate Christmas, saying it was nothing but a day where 'a bunch of retarded people got together to worship some make-believe God'. So, she had basically pounded every ounce of his Christmas spirit out of him, both figuratively and literally. Drew quietly sighed as he shook his head, walking up behind his boyfriend and blowing a gust of cold air onto the back of his neck. "Hey, Pretty-Boy."
A shiver suddenly shook through Ken. What the hell? Was the air conditioner on in the mall or something? He questions were quickly answered when he heard Drew's voice. A blush appeared on the teen's face as he slowly turned around and looked at his crush, hiding the present behind his back. Now wasn't the time to give it to the other boy. He figured he should wait until Christmas, but then again the young hero wasn't the most patient person in the world. Still, he refused to let the villain know it was for him.
A shy smile crept onto Wonderboy's face as he took a few steps closer to his boyfriend, feeling himself blush even more. Man, he must have had it bad for Frost. He couldn't even look at the dark-haired villain without blushing and feeling butterflies in his stomach and some strange feeling in his chest. "H-Hey," he said shyly, a smile still on his face. "What are you doing here?" The young Amazon set the box down on a bench that happened to be close to him and his boyfriend. He slowly reached a hand out and gently grabbed Drew's hand, lacing their fingers together.
A chuckle shook through Drew at Ken's reaction, smirking with a raised eyebrow as he hid the package behind his back. Wow, like that wasn't obvious. As he looked a his boyfriend, Frost didn't really make any gesture of affection towards him really. He wasn't too big on that kind of stuff, and probably never would be. Romantic stuff was for wimps and people who didn't have a life in his opinion. But, when the hero touched his hand, he could feel his face get a bit warmer, which he quickly tried to hide. Why the hell was he blushing? The villain showed no emotion on his face as he felt the kid lace their fingers together. He glanced around slightly, wondering if anyone noticed the two of them. Thankfully no one would actually notice him as Frost the super villain since he wasn't in costume, so that meant no one would know the the villain had a boyfriend. If anyone found that out, then that would completely ruin his reputation.
"Well, I was going to rob some shops, but they only have all this Christmas crap everywhere and I couldn't find anything worth to steal.", he said, shrugging his shoulder and shifting his weight to his right leg. His dark brown eyes flickered back at the present on the bench again. "So, what's with the package?", he asked, looking back at Ken. He honestly didn't care who the present was for or what was in it, but his curiosity got the best of him.
Ken's smile faltered. Why did it seem as if Drew didn't feel the same way that he felt toward the ice-controlling teen? Why did it feel so much like a one-sided relationship? His eyes darted to the wrapped box as his crush asked about it. Did he really think Christmas was crap? If so...would he not like the gift the teenage hero got for him? Doubt started to fill the young Amazon's mind. Maybe, just maybe, it wasn't the perfect gift for his boyfriend...maybe he just shouldn't give him a gift at all...but it was Christmas time...and this was going to be his first Christmas with Drew. Glancing back over at the gift that lay on the bench, the dark-haired boy decided to stick with giving it to Drew. Whether his crush liked it or not, he would recieve it.
"I-It's just a gift for someone....a-a member of the team I'm on..." Wonderboy hoped he sounded believable, though he doubted it. He was terrible at lying to be honest. Lookinh around, the Amazon realized he was practically alone with Frost. Store managers and owners had already left and the security guards....were, well, no where in sight. What the hell was up with that? Where was everybody? The young hero's mind almost instantly went to Drew. What if he tried to steal something? He would have to stop him...thus fight him. He didn't want to fight Drew. Maybe, just maybe, he could keep him distracted by talking. He could spark a conversation. "H-Hey...d-did u know that its um... not good to eat...snow? Especailly...y-yellow snow?" Seriously? That was the best he could think of? That was a simple yes or no answer! He had to add more...even if he found the subject he had blurted out rather disgusting. Oh well for having a romantic time alone at the mall with his boyfriend. "I-I wonder what it would taste like? Probably nasty, what do you think? I bet it would make me throw up. Th-Think you would be able to stomach that suff? I doubt it. Its gross and frozen. Your tongue might even freeze to it. I hear its hard to unfreeze your tongue from anything ice related. I wonder if I could freeze my tongue to ice cream, what do you think?"

Pulling her jacket tighter around her, Maddison quietly sighed as she stood on the roof of the Tower. She had asked Travis earlier to met her here and now she was waiting for him to show up. Though, right now her mind was going crazy. After what had happened at the docks she had been fighting with herself on what she should do. Zoo had said to tell him how she felt about him, but she was scared. What if he didn't like her back in that way? What if he got uncomfortable around her if she told him? He was such a good friend and she would hate herself if she ruined that. As much as she wanted to be more than just friends with him, she didn't want to lose him completely. But, she had made up her mind. She was going to tell him. Yeah, this was a bit of a risk, but she was willing to take it.
Maddi slightly bit her lip as she thought about what she was going to do, but quickly tried to direct her mind to something else. She knew she'd backdown if she thought too much about it, so she had to do eveything she could to do the exact opposite. The blind Titan quickly turned her head up to the night sky, changing her thoughts to the moon. What did it look like? What did the stars looked like? She had always wanted to know, but of course, she would never know. The only way she would ever get close to seeingthem were throgh her visions, but even then she didn't do that really. She hated that ability of hers. She couldn't touch anything without hr gloves on unless she wanted to see the past of it. Which, honestly, she hated. It felt like she was invading that person's personal space and she had no right to see their past. Maddison slowly lowered her gaze from the sky, her misty eyes holding a sort of longing. She shifted her position slightly and quietly sighed, waiting for the appearance of her crush.
Crap. Why had Maddi asked him to meet her? To say that Travis was nervous would have been an understatement. He already felt like an idiot for what had happened on the docks, he didn't want to screw up again. Why did he keep screwing up? He liked Maddi, he liked her a lot. He wanted her to know how he felt but was afraid that she wouldn't feel the same way. What if telling her would ruin their entire friendship? What would he do then? Groaning, the teenage half-kryptonian took off from the docks. It had been fairly easy to sneak out of the base while Kristy, Ken, Kenna, and Joshua were asleep. While flying, the teen tried to keep his mind elsewhere. He tried to focus his mind on things that had to do with the team. If he thought about a certain blonde Titan, he knew he would get nervous as hell since a few butterflies were already in his stomach. He wondered if Lacey was going to start staying at the Young Justice base or continue staying wherever she was. According to Josh, Austa was going to be arriving soon which was a semi-pleasent thought to the young hero. He liked Austa, she was a good friend and the daughter of J'onn J'onzz or Martian Manhunter. He wasn't looking forward to when Nate, the son of Aquaman, arrived though. Nate and Austa always bickered and fought. He doubted he would get any sleep with those two around. He focused his mind on Ken, wondering why the teenage Amazon seemed to be getting more distant from him. The two of them had been like best friends, always training flying or using their super-strength. Now, Ken hardly talked to the dark-haired boy. A sigh escaped the half-alien. He'd figure out what was wrong with Ken later. Right now, he needed to focus on what he would say to Maddi since the Titan's Tower was in sight.
Lightly landing on the roof with only the littlest of noises, Superstar looked over at Maddi, smiling at the sight of his crush. "H-Hey, Maddi. I'm here...um what did you want to see me about?" he said cautiously so not to sound like an idiot. Course knowing his luck, he already sounded like an idiot.
Maddison jumped at the sound of Travis' voice, obviously not knowing he had arrived. She turned towards him, smiling and took a few steps toward him. Her heart was racing in her chest as she thought about what she was about to do, slightly biting on her lip. Was this reallya good idea? She turned her foggy eyes toward the ground as a light blush appeared on her face. God, this was actually turning out to be a lot arder than she thought, which she figured wouldbe really hard. "Uh......w-well, there's kinda something I wanted t-to...uh.....to tell you.", she said, her voice a bit uneven as she desperately tried to hide her nervousness. She quickly pushed a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear as her mind tried to sort things out. How was she going to say this?
Pebbles ganced up at Travis, her blush slightly getting darker as she opened her mouth to say something, but quickly closed it. She shifted in her position a bit, her nerves dancing all at one time and making her a bit jumpy. "I-I just-- well, you see the thing is that I...", she started, but stopped as her mind took over. She couldn't do this. She couldn't stand the heartbreak when he told her he didn't like her. She knew he didn't. Who would ever like a blind girl like her? "I-I'm sorry. I-I shouldn't be doing this.", she said, shaking her head and taking a small step back. "I'm so sorry, Travis." Maddison quickly turned around and started walking away quickly, mentally scolding herself for being so stupid.
Travis tilted his mouth to the side. Why was Maddi acting so...strange? She couldn't seem to get a full sentence out to save her life. The next thing the half-kryptonian knew, she was leaving...she was leaving...Had he done something wrong? He didn't want her to leave. Why was she leaving? Weren't they going to talk? He wanted to hear her voice. He loved her voice. He loved everything about her. He couldn't let her just leave. He needed to tell her how he felt about her. "M-Maddi! W-Wait!" he called out as his hand shot out and gently grabbed her arm. He had to tell her. He just had to. He opened his mouth to speak, but no noise came out. Why was this so hard? Could it be...was he...afraid of her reply? What if she didn't like him back? What if she turned him down? He wouldn't be able to handle that, he knew it.
"I-I need to tell you....something," Superstar said slowly as he gently pulled the Titan closer to him, "I-I like you....I really, really like you and I hope you feel the same way about me...and I hope you d-don't mind what I'm about to do." He paused for a moment, allowing her time to soak in what he had just said. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. With one of his hands, he lifted her chin up and gently and slowly pressed his lips against her's.
Maddison stopped as she felt Travis grab her arm, not wanting to face him after doing something as stupid as that. Why did he want her to stay? What was the point? The blind Titan turned her head away as she felt her crush turn her around to face him, slightly blushing as she felt him so close to her. Her heart was racing in her chest at the closeness between them, fighting the urge to lay against him. But, she was completely off guard when the teen started to speak. A small, quiet gasp slipped through Pebbles as he admitted his feelings. He liked her. He actually liked her! Her face became complete red as he heart practically stopped and a warm, fuzzy feeling exploded in her chest. She had no idea what his last comment meant, but she didn't care at the moment. The boy she liked actually had feelings towards her, too, and that was all she could think about.
At least, untilher brain completely fried. At first, she didn't know what Travis was doing. The touch of his fingers on her chin darkened her blush and made her breath catch in her throat. She couldn't breath for those first few milliseconds. Hell, she couldn't do anything! Her mind was blabbering nonsense as she felt Travis' arms wrap around her waist. Then, she felt something press against her lips. The blonde's eyes widened slightly as she stood tere frozen to the spot. She may not have been able to see what was going on, but she didn't need to see to figure it out. Maddison hesitanted for a moment, trying to sort everything out as her mind tried to reboot itself. But, she couldn't wait for that. She slowly closed her eyes as she returned Travis' kiss, her gloved hands grabbing his shirt, pulling him closer to her. Her body naturally leaned against his as she slowly moved one of her hands up to his neck, wrapping her arm around it.

Joshua waited impatiently for his help. The Testing Facility looked to be only three stories tall from the top of the five story building the teenage leader was knelt down on. It didn't even look that wide. Maybe about the width and length of a convience store. That surprised him to say the least. He had expected it to be large and looking close to a hospital, but it didn't. It looked like a harmless little building. Maybe that was why the Teen Titans hadn't taken it down yet. It looked so harmless that if it were to be taken down, citizens wouldn't like it. They wouldn't see it for what it truly was. They would yell at the heroes instead of cheer them on. Course, that didn’t matter to the teenage leader of Young Justice. What mattered was taking this hellhole down. Nebula had already turned Coalfield against the teenage heroes and even Rider’s Deck, and the dark-haired boy figured they had already gotten to several other places. He didn’t plan on letting Jump City be one of those places. He had failed in Coalfield but he would not fail here. He had already made the choice and made a temporary alliance with Rider’s Deck for this mission and he had told Collin to ask some Titans for help. He had ordered his sister to stay at the Titan Tower, though, since her broken arm was still healing. Catgirl had refused at first but eventually agreed that she would only get in the way.
Dressed in his costume, Batboy had been the first to arrive at the Testing Facility. That wasn’t very surprising to the teen. He usually arrived early to things. He figured Travis would arrive next, the young half-kryptonian always seemed to be in the mood for a mission. He had been reluctant to let the boy come along cause of the liquid kryptonite in him, but the teenage leader needed his second in command at his side. Plus, he had the shot that calmed the kryptonite down ready and in his utility-belt. He was ready for anything. Most importantly, he was ready for the worst. He had his communicator watch ready to call any member of Young Justice and even members of Rider’s Deck for help. Most of the other Rider’s Deck and Young Justice members had also agreed to the alliance. A lot of them were on missions on whole other planets that were lasting too long for Josh’s liking. A quick call to them wouldn’t hurt, the teen figured. They would answer in a split second. Plus, he knew he would need some hacking skills, course that was what he had Sai Harper for. He had heard that the Titan may not have been as skill an archer as Olivia Queen, but he was as good a hacker as any Brainiac. Coming prepared for this had been harder than Josh had originally planned. He hadn’t known what to bring, so he had packed everything into his belt.Flying a bit more slowly than usual, Travis scanned the horizon for any sight of his leader. He hated having the liquid kryptonite in him. It weakened him, but luckily the sun was out and giving him strength. He was already dressed in costume, flying higher than usual so he wouldn’t get spotted. He was on edge with this mission. Josh had seemed to stress how important this mission was. He wasn’t sure why it was important, but if Josh took the time to contact Rider’s Deck, Teen Titans, and even a HIVE member, then it must have been very important. The teen wasn’t looking forward to going to the Testing Facility. He had heard horrible things about the place. There were rumors that they were testing on living being and the thought of that sickened the half-kryptonian. How could someone be so heartless? He prayed Nebula wasn’t involved with them. If so, then they would have a deadly alliance on their hands.
Finally spotting his leader, Superstar flew down next to him, smiling at the young teenager who had been watching the building until he heard the sound of feet landing on the roof. Looking over, the teen took in the sight of the building. It wasn’t as big as he thought it would be. He pictured it as a huge, intimidating building with dark tinted windows. The windows were tinted, alright, but the building was not huge and certainly not intimidating. As if he read the boy’s mind, Joshua stood up straight and hit Travis’s forehead with the back of his hand. “Don’t underestimate this place. I hear it can be a real hellhole.” Travis nodded, understanding where his leader was coming from. “Sir yes sir.”Harvey flipped the hood of his costume on and zipped the jacket up. He had arranged to meet other members of Rider’s Deck at the Testing Facility. He had hooked up their communicators to help them talk to members of both Young Justice and Rider’s Deck. If he needed to call Caroline, Sheena, Vein, or any of his other members, they were simply a click away. They wouldn’t be able to come to his location but they would be able to give advice and help out. He could even call some Young Justice members for help. Once he arrived on the rooftop he jumped onto it, silently looking at Josh and then Travis. His eyes fell onto the small building. That was the Testing Facility? Not exactly how he had imagined it. He had imagined it…well, bigger and more evil looking. The damn building looked so innocent. No wonder people didn’t suspect anything strange to be happening there.
“So despite them saying people sign up to be tested here,” Jester stated as he turned his gaze back to the two heroes, “We’re going to destroy this place?” Joshua rolled his eyes, obviously not pleased with Harvey assuming they would destroy the building, though he planned on it. “They’re obviously lying about that and we’re not going in to destroy it...to investigate it...or at least that’s what I told some people. I don’t everyone will agree with burning the place to a crisp. Besides, we should investigate it before it goes bye bye.” Travis sighed, wanting to comment on Harvey speaking in first person and not third, but thought better of it and kept his mouth shut. He didn’t want to start a fight. The blonde teenage leader had more weapons strapped to his belt than he had ever had before. Just like Josh, he was prepared for the worst.Cirna was dressed in a new costume. This time she wore a tight blue long-sleeve shirt with a black jacket over it, red skirt, and red and blue boots. She jumped from roof top to roof top, every now and then taking flight. She didn't fly for too long, though, as she had still yet to master her flight spell. She wasn't exactly sure why Harvey and Josh had agreed to work together on this mission, but being the loyal second in command of Rider's Deck that she was, the blonde had no choice but to obey orders. She was even more upset at the two for calling in the Teen Titans for help, let alone their leader, Athena. The two didn't really get along due to the teen's hatred of animals and the fact that Athena shifted into animals.
Finally arriving at the Testing Facility, Sorceress took her place next to Harvey, putting her hands on her hips. She wasn't surprised by the view of the facility at all. She had been there several times when she was more evil to visit Mimick. She hadn't mentioned it to anyone and was uncomfortable knowing that the young Australian was going to be joining them. She was unsure of what to say to him. Should she apologize for wanting to use him as a weapon? That had been before Nebula, when she was more evil than she currently was now. Now her heart was softening, slowly but surely. She was still cold hearted just not as cold hearted as before. Glancing around, the young sorceress couldn't help but mentally yell at the people who had yet to show up. So what if it was day time? It was noon! They didn't have all day for this! People needed to get their asses there soon. As soon as she thought that, she heard the whisp of someone run by her and the skidding of feet stopping.Kristy quickly pulled on her costume, pulling her mask over her face and then putting a pair of red goggles over her eyes. The goggles were a new addition she had made recently to her costume. That way if she were to hit a bug or something while running, she wouldn't get hit in the eye. It made sense to her, though the other Young Justice members had found it pointless. She tied her red hair into pigtails and bounced around on her feet a bit before zooming out of the new base on the docks. She attempted to run up the side of a building like she had heard her father could do, but failed and ended up falling onto the cement, hard. Yelping in pain, she rubbed her forehead. The teen jumped to her feet and looked around, happily finding a ladder and quickly climbing it. From there she ran over the roofs of the buidlings, using her speed to jump from building to building. She didn't want to be the last one to arrive. She wanted to be the first. Hell she was the fastest they got, so why not?
Speeding her way toward the rooftop where they were to meet, Streak found herself running past Cirna and straight toward the edge of the building. "Crap!" she hissed through gritted teeth as she pushed down on her heels, eventually skidding to a hault and almost falling of the edge. She waved her arms around before finally catching her balance. Exhaling in relief, the speedster turned around to see who else was there. Josh, her leader, Travis, Harvey, and Cirna. "Aw man, I'm not the first person to arrive." She complained as her arms hung at her sides and she slowly walked over to everyone.Dylan pulled his gloves onto his hands, clipping them closed. He took a deep breath in as he pulled his sleeveless jacket on. He put his thumbs in his front pockets of his pants and started walking. He had no clue why he had agreed to go. The Testing Facility. Just thinking of it made him become afraid. He had finally gotten out of that hellhole thanks to Alex, and now he was going back to it? He knew his crush would think him an idiot, hell even he thought he was an idiot. But there was just something about this mission, something about the urgency that had been in Collin and Travis's voices when they had told some of the Titans about it that had made him want to go. Collin and Travis had even used pictures to brief everyone who had chosen to go on who was who, and even on who their contacts were. Their contacts were apparently Young Justice and Rider's Deck members that couldn't come but could help out via communicator if needed.
Walking over to the building, Mimick looked up and raised an eyebrow. How was he supposed to get up there? He tapped his chin, trying to think of a way. His powers couldn't help him. he was about to whistle to the group of heroes when suddenly he felt himself get thrown onto someone's back. Out of instincts, he grabbed hold tightly so he wouldn't fall off, closing his eyes. He felt whoever he was on the back of grunt at his wait, though the young Australian doubted he weighed that much, and the person start to walk up the building.Sai had quickly suited up and left the tower, strapping his arrows to his back and slinging his bow over his shoulder. He hadn't waited for any other Titans, figuring that if any had chosen to go then he would meet them some time along the way. He had been right. Jumping from roof top to roof top, the young archer eventually spotted Dylan. He chuckled as he watched the boy try to figure out how he would get onto the roof. Sai was about a jump away from arriving with everyone else. Instead he jumped to the ground, faltering as he hit the cement on his feet. Straightening his back, he walked over to the young Australian. The boy didn't seem to notice him.
Knotching an arrow into his bow, Quickshot pulled back and launched. The tip of the arrow expanded into a claw-like hook and latched onto the edge of the building, a rope extending from the end. The teenage archer quickly grabbed Mimick and practically threw him onto his back, holding back laughter as he heard the teen make a surprised noise and tightly hold onto his neck. "Hold on kiddo," he said despite knowing the fact that the two of them were the same age. It was hard not calling Dylan kiddo since he acted a lot younger than he actually was. Tightly grasping the rope, Sai gave it a small tug. Thankfully it had a good grip on the building. He hesitantly put his foot on the side of the building and then began walking up the side. He grimaced as he felt Dylan's grip tighten, coming close to cutting his air supply off. Finally climbing over the edge, panting, the archer tore his friend's grip from him and stood up as did the Australian. "Quickshot and Mimick reporting for duty," the British boy said as he soluted to the two leaders that were present. Josh nodded to him while Harvey meerly laughed. "Asshole," he muttered under his breath.Carlos looked at himself in the mirror, wondering if his new costume was okay. It was certainly different from his old one but with the same black and white color scheme. It was a long sleeve black shirt, a sleeve-less white leather jacket unzipped on top, his left hand covered by a white glove, his right hand covered by a black glove, his left foot with a black boot on, his right foot with a white boot on, and dark almost black denim jeans. Of course the black with blue rhinestones on it collar was still around his neck. The banshee had no way of getting it off. He had tugged at it for hours one day and it still hadn't come off. Hell, he didn't even know how it had gotten on him. Looking at himself in the mirror, the young ghost touched his lips, remembering the kiss between him and Kira. Her magic now flowed within him, making it to where he could hopefully use his powers without dying. He would still hurt himself, but at least it wouldn't kill him. It was already two days after the day he was supposed to die. Kira had kept her end of the deal and helped him live.
Grabbing his cell phone, Whisper quickly texted his boyfriend, Jeremy, that he was leaving for the meeting spot. He hoped Jeremy wouldn't try to hold his hand or kiss his cheek, he wouldn't be in the mood for it. Both Harvey and Josh had stressed the importance of this mission so of course the white-haired boy was going to take it seriously. Hell, he had even heard that Arthur had sworn not to make one perverted joke at all. When the dark-haired teen did that, you knew you better take it very seriously. Jumping from building to building with surprisingly good speed and agility, Carlos was on the roof in a matter of minutes. He surprised even Harvey and Cirna, who blinked several times before giving him congradulating smiles. Smiling back, the teen glanced at everyone else who was so far there. He recognized Josh, Kristy, and Travis from Coalfield and several other occasions and recognized Sai and Dylan from the briefing Harvey had given them. His smile turned shy as he slightly waved at everyone. "S-Sorry if I'm late."Cab slipped on her dress and then the black shorts that went underneath. She was still unaware of why she had been asked to come on this mission. Sai had asked her and briefed her on who everyone was. Pulling her boots on and zipping them up, a sigh escaped the teen. What if she ended up being of no use at all to the heroes and villains who were also on the mission? What if her powers got them killed instead of to safety? She wouldn't be able to look at herself if that happened. Hooking the necklace around her neck, she stood up from her bed and exited the HIVE headquarters. She quickly jumped onto a building, surprised she could even do that. Course it was a one story building, the others were all two, three, and even five stories. Great, just great. Groaning with pain by the time she got on top of a third story building, the young villain squinted her eyes and saw where the meeting spot was. Joy. Five buildings away. She jumped from roof to roof, almost falling from the last one, but she felt Josh grab her wrists and pull her up.
After thanking the teenage leader, Jinx dusted off any dirt that might have been on her costume. She looked over at Sai, giving him a small smile. It had been awhile since they had seen each other. She could tell he had still yet to find Fred since the dark-skinned Titan wasn't by his side. Instead, Dylan was. Narrowing her eyes, the young girl frowned at the Australian. Was he trying to take Fred's place? She hoped not. No one could replace Fred, it was nearly impossible. Fred was a loyal member of the Titans and an even better friend.Arthur peaked out of the bathroom, Olivia was impatiently tapping her foot, waiting to get changed. Grinning guiltily, the teen stepped out dressed in his usual tight leather costume. He grabbed keys from the table and opened the door. "Midnight, keep watch over this place. Teddy, Olivia meet you over there. Oh and I'm taking the 'cycle." He thought he heard Olivia yell at him that he didn't even have a license, but ignored her. He trotted down the stairs and walked into the parking lot and over to a green and black motorcycle. Strapping the helmet on, the plant-controlling teen swung his leg over and sat down. He put the keys in and twisted them, hearing the engine roar to life. He revved the engine up some more before backing it up and zooming out of the parking lot at almost top speed.
Weaving in and out of traffic, Feral finally came into sight of the meeting spot. Using a parked car as a ramp, the dark-haried boy made the motorcycle jump all the way to the roof, landing with a thud and startling everyone that was already there. "What the hell?!" he heard Harvey snap as he got off the vehicle and took the helmet off, "How the hell do you expect to get this thing off of the roof?!" Arthur looked over at Harvey. Truth be told he hadn't given much thought to it. Pulling Carlos over to him protectively just in case they were suddenly attacked or something, the teen simply shrugged at his leader. "Have Ishi teleport it or something I guess," he replied as Harvey practically smacked his own face with his palm.Olivia waited impatiently. Why did they have to get changed in the stupid bathroom? Hell they practically lived together and Arthur had even once walked in as the blonde was taking a shower. He had come out with multiple bruises and a black eye but the archer was glad he was gay. Perverted, but one-hundred percent gay, meaning he was indifferent to the sight. Course what had caused her to beat the shit out of him was that he hadn't left when she had told him to...he had brushed his teeth! Groaning outloud, the teen rolled her eyes as Arthur finally stepped out. She walked in and closed the door, hearing something about him taking the motorcycle. "You don't even have a license!" she called after him from the bathroom. She sighed and slipped her clothes off. She had a new costume and was dying to get it worked in. It was sexy and hot according to her teammates. The blonde teen slipped on black lace leggings and then slipped on her shirt which was similar to her mom's. The best way it could be describe was the material of a shirt, black in color, but the shape of a one peice swimsuit with not sleeves, her shoulder bare. Standing up, she pulled on her short black jacket, rolling the sleeves up a little past her elbows. Next she slipped her shoes on, zipping them up. With that done, the teen walked out of the bathroom, combing her hair. "See ya later, Midnight, oh and Teddy, I'll meet you over there too," she called as she opened the front door, "Ishi left already I think, so she might already be there!"
Putting her hands on her hips, Black Arrow took her keys out to her motorcycle. Benefit of being rich? She had a motorcycle that Arthur didn't know about or else the teen probably would have crashed it by now. Strapping her helmet on, she got on and revved up the engine. She pulled out onto the street, weaving in and out of traffic. Following the trail of honking cars the plant-controlling teen so obviously left, the blonde archer had no problem finding the meeting spot. She pulled up in an alleyway next to the building and took her helmet off. Knotching an arrow to her bow, she aimed and fired, using to to climb to the top. She was nervous to say the least. She was going to have to be working with Travis, whom she had almost killed with a bomb, and several Teen Titans, who she had betrayed.Ishi jumped from roof top to roof top, dressed in her old costume. It seemed like forever since she had worn the red satin-lace material. It felt good to be make in it. She did summer-sualts, back flips, and all sorts of gymnastic moves. Kage was strapped to her back, sheathed and ready for action. She had Zen's dog collar hooked onto her belt for good luck like she always did ever since her friend had died. The orange-skinned half-alien was no longer upset over what had happened with Cheyenne. She had completely forgotten about it. Her mind was on Joshua Wayne and nothing but him. She would be working side by side with her crush! How lucky was she?! She considered herself very lucky, at the moment at least. She felt happy, actually happy. She had also finally decided to stick with a codename. After being called Stone by some people and then Alice by other's, the teen had decided to merge them and call herself Stone Alice. She liked the name and thought it was a good fit.
Finally arriving at the roof, Stone Alice glanced at the building. It was smaller than she had thought. She had pictured it bigger and more spooky. The building looked innocent, so innocent it was repulsing to her. The orange-haired girl turned her gaze away from it and walked over in-between Harvey and Josh, making sure it looked like she had been walking over to her leader and just so happened to end up also next to her crush. She didn't want anyone know she had a crush on the teenage leader. If they knew, they would think she had gone soft and soft was not in her vocabulary. She would never go soft. Not until the day she killed Gregory.Dammit. Dammit, dammit, dammit. Panting as her tongue hung out of the side of her mouth, Vivian ran through the streets of Jump City as a black wolf, trying to get to the meeting place as fast as she could. She hadn't meant to be late, but Jasmine had thought that was a perfect time to get sick and she had that mess to clean up and organize things for the babysitter. And, it didn't help that she was trying to get there on foot -- er, paws? Either way, she hope she wasn't too late. The werepire quickly darted through the crowds of people that covered the streets, thankful that people quickly moved to the side the moment they saw her. Though, she did have one stupid guy try to catch her for his amusement, and, had she not been in a hurry, she probably would've bit him for trying something as stupid as that. Skidding to a stop as she came to the building they were suppose to meet a, she quickly shifted to her human form, still panting from the long run she had to go through.
Looking around for an easy way up, Vivian finally decided to go with the fire escape that was probably on the side somewhere. Jogging over to the alleyway, she stopped as she stared at the car that was still going through its alarm sequence. Apparently, someone had already gone this way. Either that, or someone had been stupid enough to get too close to the car. Well, that didn't really matter right now. She needed to get up to the roof and standing here trying to figure out why a car alarm was going off wasn't going to help. Pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, the werepire quickly jumped onto the roof of the car and grabbed for the ladder that hung down. The metal ladder shook for a moment as she tried to pull herself up, but it stopped as soon as she had her feet on it. It was pretty much easy after that. Though, in her rush, she ended up tripping over one of the steps and falling over, slightly skinning her elbow. God, they hadn't even started the mission and she was already getting hurt.
Quickly, but carefully, climbing up the rest of the way, Vivian swung her legs over the side of the roof, her eyes scanning over the group of people who had already showed up. There were a lot of people who she didn't recognize, but a few familiar faces stuck out. She saw Dylan off to one side with some other guy - Sai she think he was called, though she never was good with names - and then there was Nick who she didn't know too well. Looking more into the crowd she spotted Olivia who she quickly looked away from, obviously still upset about her betrayal as pretty much everyone else on the team was. Then, her multicolored eyes finally rested on her girlfriend. A small smile slipped onto her face as she began walking towards the group, suddenly feeling a bit odd to be one of the few who didn't actually have a costume. She never really was into the whole dressing up thing and usually saw costumes as pointless, but that was just her opinion.
"Sorry, I'm late. I had to deal with a bit of a......mess before coming here." said the brunette as she slowly made her way to the group, walking over to Athena's side. She gave her girlfriend a small smile before looking over at the building that housed the Testing Facility, her smile faltering then fading as she turned her gaze away from the cursed place. Her mind became clouded with the horrifying memories of her 'visit' there as her hand unconsciously rested on her left forearm where the scars still criss-crossed over her skin. Vivian slightly shuddered at the thought of having to go back in there, but she knew she had to. And, in a way, she wanted to. She wasn't exactly sure what the entire plan was, but she was sure it had something to do with finally bringing this place down, and after what had been done to her there she was more than glad to help.
As Shift arrived on the rooftop near the Testing Facility, she shifted from crow to human, careful to not land too close to anyone - people had the unfortunate, insitinctive habit of leaning closer to talk to her when she was still a small animal, which meant she usually ended up elbowing them in the nose or what-have-you when she shifted into her natural, larger, human state. That finished, the Titan leader ran a hand through her hair and studied the faces of the heroes - and villians - and everyone else assembled. It was a motley crew; those who could help had been called, she assumed, including herself, which had surprised the teenager.
Of course, thinking about it, she supposed that Batboy wouldn't have known about her or the other Titans' history with the Facility - namely, that an old teammate of the Titans, who had long since moved on, had been captured and then eventually broken out of said scientific base. Wondering for a moment how Tian was faring - they hadn't talked to each other in months, after the lizard-girl had moved out of Jump - the Titan glowered across the rooftop at Black Arrow. Traitor bitch...
But that could be dealt with later, when there weren't other important things going on - namely, it seemed, waiting for everyone to arrive. "Batboy.", Shift said, nodding a hello to the Young Justice leader. Proffesional courtesy - or what there was of it, since both of their current 'proffesions' involved dealing with teams of their fellow insanely-powered teenagers - caused the shape shifter to refrain from mentioning that he had invited the not-so-trustworthy Black Arrow along. There were also a few other things she could have mentioned, ie, critiqued, to him - but the furry female let her criticisms slip by. They could trade leaderly notes later, once - if - everyone wasn't dead/maimed/presumed-dead-but-really-in-an-alternate-dimension.
Wearing her usual uniform, of a black shirt and pants, with boots that have a dark green stripe running down the side, the Titan might have looked slightly odd to anyone (ie, everyone) who was used to seeing the teen walking around and wearing her many peircings; tonight, she had decided to forgo them; even the dullest studs could reflect light and give someone's position away. So, studying the almost non-existant traffic on the roads passing by the buildings around them, Shift fiddled with her communicator and waited for the last of the troupe to arrive. Speeding through Jump City in his blue 2011 Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible, Jeremy quickly looked down at his phone at the address Carlos had sent him, not really paying too much attention to the road. Besides, there wasn't too much traffic out today anyways. The phaser snapped his phone shut as he looked up at the street signs, making a sharp turn to the left as his tires screeched across the pavement. Sure, he had just ran a red light, but he wasn't worried about that. The fine police usually gave him was small compared to the amount of money his parents owned. Slowly his car down as he neared his destination, Phantom quickly placed his dark shaded sunglasses on and turned into an alleyway that was two buildings over from where they had to meet. He pulled the Mustang into park as the engine continued to purr until he switched it off, his keys clicking together as he pulled them off. Standing up as he phased through the car door, the dark-haired teen carefully placed his pin-striped fedora hat onto his head, tilting the front slightly over his eyes. His black leather trench coat hung from his shoulders, unbuttoned, showing off his black shirt with a dark red 'X' graphic on the front. The gravel crunched under his leather military boots as he walked out of the alley, making sure his car was locked and secure before continuing down the sidewalk. He looked up at the building where everyone was supposedly gathering on top of, making a quick glance at the testing Facility across the street. it wasn't really all that threatening looking, but the CEOs had probably done that on purpose.
Phantom turned his attention back to the other building, pondering for a moment on how he should get up there. Well, that's what his powers were for. Lightly shrugging his shoulders, the teen quietly phased through the wall of the building, ignoring the jumpy civilians that were around him as he came out of the wall. He simply continued on his way, going through walls and whatnot until he reached the elevator. Well, this made things easier. He quickly walked in, the people who were already in there running out at the sight of him and he continued up alone. He wasn't exactly sure what was going on to be honest. His boyfriend had just texted him, telling him that a number of heros and villains were joining together to take down the Testing Facility, or something like that. Jeremy quietly sighed as the damned thing slowly inched its way up to the roof, wishing the thing would go faster. he was no doubt late to this meeting thing, though he had only been given a sudden notice of it to begin with.
Phasing through the elevator's door before they had a chance to open, the boy dressed in black finished off the last few steps that led to the rooftop, phasing through that door as well. He was actually surprised by the number of people who had showed up here, though it was easy to pick them out. The villains and heros seemed to be separated into two different groups, and they didn't seem to be mixing very well. A light chuckle shook through Jeremy as he saw this, walking up to everyone with his hands casually in the pockets of his coat. He didn't say anything, mostly because he didn't feel like he needed to. No one here actually knew him, obviously not including Carlos, who he was heading to at the moment. The dark-haired teen smiled as he came closer to the banshee, wanting to give him their usually greeting of a hug and possible kiss, but held himself back. This was a mission, not a date, so he needed to make sure he treated it like that. But, that didn't mean he couldn't do anything to him at all. "Hey, Carls.", he said as he stood at the other boy's side, slightly leaning into him in, but only enough so their arms brushed against one another. He glanced back down at the building they were apparently going into, wondering if it really did pose as much of a threat as everyone seemed to make it. Quietly sighing as he pulled on his new......uniform, Teddy continued to grumble about something concerning his costume. He wasn't exactly thrilled at the fact that he was wearing this, but Arthur had convinced him that he needed a costume. His tried to keep it as simple as possible and went with a black shirt with dark purple splatters across the front and back, a pair of black leather pants, and a dark blue panama hat. He hesitantly pulled on his black and blue striped gloves, wondering if this really was necessary. He didn't like dressing up so much, especially for a mission like this. But, he couldn't worry about it now. Theodore slowly turned around, looking at the wooden case that was laying the floor, its polished finish reflecting the light coming from the window. The blonde boy looked down at the centuries old case for a moment before kneeling on the floor in front of it, placing is hands on the lid. He carefully lifted the wooden lid, placing it onto the floor as he looked into the case. Inside it laid two hand-crafted swords, something his father had given him as a gift back when he was only a kid. It was hard to imagine that that had been over four hundred years ago. The blades were still sharp and ready to use despite the fact that they had been in storage for all these years.
Gently grasping the hilts of the twin swords, Teddy sharply inhaled at the feel of having the weapons in his hands once again. It's been awhile since he's actually used them, wanting to avoid using them unless he really needed to, and he was sure today would be a day he'd need them. Gazing at their blades for a short moment, the immortal teen carefully slipped the swords into their sheaths, strapping them both to his back. He glanced down at the black feline that sat on the couch, watching him with her purple eyes. "Don't let anyone in, kayo, Mid?", he asked playfully, knowing the cat hated calling her by nicknames. The cat glared at him and gave him a slight hiss, showing that she wasn't very happy with him. "Love you, too, Middy.", he said, quickly walking out the door before the feline could say or do anything in return.
Running up the stairs of the apartment, the blonde boy quickly climbed onto the roof as he got to the final level, running to where the group was to meet. It didn't take him too long to get there, but apparently enough time to make him late. Damn, was he, like, one of the last people to show up? His light blue eyes slowly scanned the rooftop, taking in the many faces that were there. Excluding the members of Rider's Deck, there wasn't anyone here he actually knew. Oh, wait, no. That was a lie. That one kid....uh....Wolf, that's right. Wolf was there with two other kids who he didn't know, or honestly didn't really care to know. Eventually, his eyes fell on his team mates, recognizing them all in a second. And, his favorite person in the world. Smiling, he casually made his way to Arthur, wanting to make some kind of smart-ass or perverted comment, but held his tongue. He had promised Harvey that he wasn't going to mess around during this mission and was to take it seriously. So, as much as he didn't want to, he would keep his comments to himself.
Glancing at a window for a moment as she looked at her reflection, Alexandra looked over her new costume. She had thought about just going with her old costume, but now that everyone knew her as Alexandra instead of Alexander, she assumed a new uniform was called for. Besides, if she wasn't wearing her breast band, then the fabric of her older one was sort of tight around her chest. It wasn't too bad, though, and it was fire-proof, which was really the most important thing. The outfit had a few similarities with her older one, but that only really applied to the coloring. She was wearing a red and orange, sleeveless shirt with a yellow 'X' on both the front and back of it and red, latex pants with orange boots. Though, she would've preferred something that didn't feel so tight on her. But, she'd have to worry about that later. Torch quickly shook her head, getting her attention back on getting to the Testing Facility. She probably should've already been there by now and hoped Athena wouldn't be upset at the fact that she was late. How late? She wasn't exactly sure, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to know either.
Alex mentally slapped herself for being distracted so easily and tried to remember the way to get to the meeting spot. Maybe she should've taken her communicator. Quietly sighing with frustration, the red-haired teen jumped over onto another rooftop, her foot just barely missing the edge. Damn, she was lucky these buildings were so close together. She looked around for a moment, trying to figure out which way to go from here, when she spotted the group of assembled heros and villains on a rooftop not to far from where she was. Well, that made it easier. The Titan quickly ran towards them, being careful not to fall or anything before finally landing on the roof where everyone else was at.
She looked around at the group of teens, surprised by how many people had came. She hadn't expected this many to show up, though, as she thought about it, it kind of made sense considering there were three different teams here. The girl slowly turned her head to Athena, watching her and Vivian for a moment before giving them a slight wave. She thought about going up to the pair to make sure that they had seen her and knew she was there, but her attention was directed elsewhere as her eyes fell onto Dylan. A small smile slipped onto her face, her heart slightly quickening its pace as she walked up to him. She was happy he was here. Yeah, she had still yet to find out what his powers actually were, but she was happy either way. At least now she'd have someone to talk to during this mission.
Quietly watching as the group gathered on the roof below her, Cheyenne stood there with her black cloak hanging from her shoulders, her hood covering her dark-brown hair. She had been one of the first ones to be here, but she had kept a distance from everyone else. After what had happened with Ishi, and Athena, though she had obviously kept that a secret as much as the shape shifter probably had, she had been....well, a bit more withdrawn from the team. Her feelings were still in the process of healing, as was the bruise on her face which was now only a small, dark brown bruise that was half the size of what it had originally been. '....Do you really think this is a good idea?', Traa asked as her carefully landed on her shoulder, looking at her with his large, black, concerned eyes. 'I don't always need you to be around me, Traa.', she answered back, coldly, making the bird slightly wince at her tone. He looked away, obviously hurt by her words, but didn't argue. His human companion had been a bit off for the past week, and he didn't completely blame her. 'Alright, just.....be careful.', he said mentally in a hushed tone before flying off her shoulder.
Crow silently watched her feathered friend fly off before looking back down at the group, deciding it was probably time to make her appearance. Jumping down from the roof she was previously on, the dark-haired girl landed with a small thud as he boots hit the surface. She slightly winced from the pain that shot up her legs from the impact of the landing, but quickly straightened back up, pulling her hood back. Her dark brown eyes made a quick glance at everyone, though avoided looking at Athena and Vivian. After what the two of them did at the mall, she couldn't bare having to look at the shape shifter and her girlfriend. Then, her eyes slowly fell onto Ishi, her eyes slightly saddening at the sight of her. Her feeling were still in shreds from the harsh words that the half-alien had spoken, even though she had tried to forget about them. But, her attempts just continued to fail. Cheyenne quickly turned her head away from the group, slowly sliding off to the side and remaining quiet, which was highly unlike her.
Pulling on her black and pink striped gloves, the Titan looked over at the Testing Facility building, wondering what the whole plan was. She knew the gist of it, like most everyone else did. Get in, get info, and get out. But, she was sure there must've been more to it than just that, right? Or, maybe there wasn't. Either way, she figured it didn't really matter. As long as they got what they needed, who cares how they got it?
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] God, this would've been so much easier if she wasn't blind. Maddison quickly ran through the streets, using only her heightened sense of hearing and her bare feet to tell where she was going. She was no doubt one of the last ones to show up to the meeting place, but, again, it was difficult to find a place when you were blind. Fumbling with her black, silver studded gloves, the Titan skidded to a stop as she heard a car alarm blaring from a nearby alleyway. She slowly walked over to the car, wincing in pain as the alarm hurt her sensitive ears, and tried to listen to her surroundings. Doing her best to ignore the alarm, she thought she heard what sounded like voices coming from the roof above her. Well, hopefully this was the place. Taking a deep breath, Pebbles closed her foggy blue eyes and focused on the ground under her. It took a moment to get the piece of earth moving since the pavement was actually pretty think in the area, but after a few seconds of shifting the earth the piece finally came loose. With her hands giving off their usual golden glow, the blonde teen lifted herself up to the roof top, nervously staying away from the edges. She really didn't like doing this, mostly because she couldn't feel the ground. Well, not including the small bit that was under her now.
Slowly lifting herself to the edge, Maddison tried to guess where the edge actually was. She was in the air and couldn't see, and had no idea how close she was to the actual building. Maybe she should've thought this through more carefully. Gently biting her lip as she inched the broken piece of earth closer to what she thought was the building, she followed the sound of the group's voices. Well, maybe she could try doing this a bit faster. Besides, she was starting to get a headache from having to hold up the rock and herself, which meant that sometime soon she'd loose her control all together. So, hurrying wasn't really an option anymore. Silently cursing under her breath, the blind Titan quickly moved the rock over some more, hoping not to hit anyone or thing. Which she did. Apparently the edge of the roof was closer than she thought. A small yelp of surprise escaped the girl's lips as she fell forward from the impact, tripping over her feet in the process. Oh, great. Nice way of showing her skills and ability to do this mission, right?
Joshua gave a slight nod Athena's way. His eyes watched as everyone filed in, raising an eyebrow at how Harvey allowed Nick to call him "kid". Smirking, the teenage leader didn't really talk much to anyone. If someone spoke to him, he nearly nodded, though he did roll his eyes at Kristy's comment about not being the first person to arrive. Looking over at Sai, the dark-haired boy opened his mouth to speak. "Go start hacking away, please. The quicker you can hack all their systems the faster we can get in and out." He didn't mention how he knew that there was a possibilty of Sai getting information, that he had claimed was their only reason for going to the Facility, with just the click of a button. He didn't want people to know that he had lied to them, especailly Athena. He had told the green Titan that their only reason for coming was to get information, not to possibly burn the place to a crisp. The teen doubted it would burn to a crisp, though. Damn firefighters had the worst timing. They always arrived late when one needed them and arrived on time or early when one didn't want them to show up.
Batboy's attention was redirected when Wildcard and Jack showed up. Why were they there? He vaguely remembered hearing about them being part of some group known as the Terror Titans, but...who had invited them? As far as the teenager knew, none of the members of Young Justice knew those two. His eyes went onto Harvey, who seemed to bite his lip at the two's arrival. Oh, so Jester knew them or at least one of them. Either way, as long as they were there to help, Josh didn't have a problem with them. He gave the two villains a slight nod. "Trust me, underestimating us is a big mistake. We can all hold our own in a fight. Let's hope you're bite is harder than your bark." He raised his eyebrows slightly as he spoke, folding his arms across his chest.Travis snickered at some of the people as they arrived. He could see them filing next to people they knew, instead of going and socializing with some new people and making new friends. Hearing what sounded like Maddi, the young boy's eyes snapped over to her before running over and helping her to her feet. "A-Are you okay?!" he asked, clearly worried. He sent a quick glare at Josh, who looked over at him and sent the glare right back at the half-kryptonian. He doubted his leader even knew what the glare was for. How could he let Maddi come on a possibly very dangerous mission?! The young hero had specifically told Collin not to tell the blind Titan about the mission. The dark-haired teen knew he would be worrying about his crush the entire time. Hell, why wouldn't he? She was blind and so far, he didn't even know if she had powers or not!
Helping his crush to her feet, Superstar glanced over as Wildcard and Jack arrived. He didn't know them, but hell he didn't know almost half the people that had arrived. He recognized a few Titans from when he had to stay in their infirmery, but not many of them. He recognized Athena,-- course who didn't recognize the leader of the Teen Titans? --Sai, Maddi,-- of course -- Collin, and Dylan. A few other faces looked familiar like he had seen them pass by the infirmery a few times before. Course maybe people looked familiar because Josh had briefed him on some people who had agreed to come on the mission. Who knew? Harvey pouted as Nick called him kid, but didn't argue. He noticed Josh raising an eyebrow at him and sent the hero a frown. He watched as everyone arrived, raising an eyebrow at the Titan Cheyenne. He had heard from Olivia about the girl and she didn't seem to be acting like herself. He was about to walk over and see what was wrong when he noticed Travis leave his leader's side, which he knew wasn't like the half-kryptonian at all. A smirk slid onto his face when he saw that the dark-haired boy had ran to the aid of a Titan. Maddi, was it? He wasn't sure. The blonde glanced over at Cirna out of the corner of his eye before looking back over at the two lovers. He found it quite obvious that the two heroes had crushes on each other. Biting his lip, the teenage leader looked away, his gaze now falling onto the floor. Love. What was the point of that little feeling? Why was it so important? It had the power to make even the smartest being do stupid things.
Sighing, Jester ran his fingers through his hair. His eyes snapped up at the sound of his brother's voice. A slight smile slid onto the fifteen-year-old's face. He was actually glad Jacob was there. He knew his brother and Jack had way more experience than him. Looking over at Jack, the red-eyed teenager put his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "The party's just beginning." he replied with a wide grin on his face.Cirna rolled her eyes at Kristy's comment about not being first. She didn't pay much attention as everyone else arrived, not really caring about them. She was only there because Harvey needed his second in command by his side. Her leader had not said that, but she had just assumed it. Why wouldn't he need her? She was his most loyal member. A concerned look went onto the blonde's face as she heard her leader sigh, unaware that he had looked over at her for a few seconds before looking away. Her jaw clenched at the arrival of Jack and Wildcard, mainly Wildcard. Despite her closeness with her leader, he had refused to tell her anything about his brother which annoyed the living hell out of her. Why couldn't she know? Why couldn't he just tell her everything?
Groaning mentally, Sorceress walked up behind Harvey and put her hands on his shoulder, resting her chin on her hands. She listened as he replied to Jack's question. Her eyes scanned everyone else, taking in who had actually come for the first time. She recognized most of them from being briefed by Jester. Her heart fell as her eyes went onto Dylan. She prayed he didn't recognize her. She looked over at Athena and Vivian, her eyes noticing how Cheyenne seemed to avoid those two. She couldn't really care less about the Titan's reasons. It was her life, not the young sorceress's. She clearly remembered Jeremy, still not fond of the idea of him dating Carlos. The only reason she tolerated it was because Harvey had ordered her too. She turned her attention back to her crush and Jack. "And don't worry, it's going to be loads of fun." She added to Harvey's reply as she rested her head against the side of her crush's head.Kristy smiled as she watched everyone arrive, still upset that she hadn't been the first. She raised an eyebrow at Dawn's statement. As far she she knew, no one had planned on giving her "shit". She sent Lacey a small smile, remembering her teammate very well. Unlike a few people she knew, the red-head had quite good memory. She looked over at Cheyenne, wondering if something was wrong with the Titan. Well, it wouldn't hurt to spark a conversation with her...right? She had time to spare. It would probably take Sai a little bit to hack into the systems.
Walking over to the dark-haired girl, Streak put his arms behind her back, holding her hands together. She looked at the Titan through her goggles, smiling. "You're Cheyenne, right?" the teen asked, attempting to get the girl's attention. "I hear you're a pretty good Titan. Thanks for joining the mission. It'll be an honor to work with you." She hoped she would be able to cheer the teen up. The young speedster hated seeing people all depressed.Dylan frowned at Sai, realizing now that the Titan had called him kiddo when he knew they were the same age. So what if he acted younger than he was? Looking around, the young Australian shot a small smile at Len and Rin, remembering seeing the two Titan twins around the Tower, but never speaking to them before. He looked over at AJ, eyes widening slightly at his gun. He had never really liked guns, but understood why someone would use one. According to some people, they were very good weapons to have. All he knew for sure was that a gun could harm him and that was good enough for him to know not to go near anyone who was holding a gun.
Looking over at Sai, Mimick elbowed him slightly, getting him out of his obvious zoned out state. A chuckle shook through the teen as his friend blinked before looking over at Josh. A blush went onto the teenage hero's face when he saw Alex walk over to him. He smiled shyly at his crush, making sure not to touch her at all. Despite what most people believed, he actually knew what his powers were...or well, some part of them. All he knew was that his powers were activated when he touched someone's skin with his own skin. Even if he was curious as to what his powers were exactly, he didn't actually want to find out anytime soon. He turned his gaze back to Alex, smiling at his crush. "H-Hey."Sai blinked several times when Dylan elbowed him, snapping back from his daydreams. He looked over at Joshua, who had an eyebrow raised. "Didn't hear me?" the young British teen nodded his head, blushing faintly with embarrassment. "I said start hacking, please." The teenage archer bit his lip and nodded, still embarrassed from zoning out. He jumped down from the building, his feet faltering a little as they hit the ground with slight pain. He walked over to the front door, surprised that the security camera were fixed on regions that just so happened to be where he wasn't. Shouldn't they be moving around or at least pointed at the entrance? But they weren't.......Was someone expecting them? Crap. If that was the case then they were all in big trouble. Cautiously, the teenage hero looked through the glass door. No one was in the lobby. What the hell was going on? There should have been at least one guard.
Quickshot knelt down to the side of the door, making sure he wasn't visible just in case a guard suddenly appeared or a camera suddenly turned his way. Something wasn't right. He could feel it in his gut. A cold air blew by him as he held his Titan Communicater up to his face. "Somethin' ain't right, guys," he said in his British accent, "I'm not sure what it is but--shit!!" he was cut off by the cameras suddenly whipping their view to the rooftop where everyone else was and the ground beneath him giving way. A trap door?! A bloody trap door?! How the hell could he have not figured that out?! Course...it had been well hidden...Cussing almost every cuss word he knew, the teenage archer tried to grab onto something but fell through the trap door. He looked up as the door quickly closed and locked after he was in it. Sliding down some sort of tubes, he tried to get his communicater to work but all he could get from it was a bunch of static and gibberish sounding words. Crap. Crap! Crap!! This was not good. Not good at all! He didn't even know where he was going...Carlos didn't have time to reply to Jeremy before Sai's voice came over through the Titan's communicaters. Something wasn't right? What could possibly be wrong? He ran over to the edge of the building when he heard Sai cuss. What was wrong? His eyes widened slightly when he saw the cameras whip their views to where the group was gathered. Crap, this was not good. "Quickshot!!" he yelled when he saw the teenage archer fall through a trap door that quickly shut after. He looked back over at Harvey, wanting some sort of order from his leader. But the blonde looked just as shocked as he felt. He opened his mouth to say something but before he could trap doors opened underneath where everyone was standing. What the--?! He couldn't even finish thinking before he fell into the trap door, seeing the small square of light vanish as the door closed quickly and locked. He tried to phase through the wall as he slid down some sort of tube-like thing, but was zapped with several volts of electricity causing him to yelp from the pain and loose his concentration on phasing through.
Whisper fell out of the tubular passage way and onto hard tiled floor. He rubbed his tailbone and looked around...he was in the Testing Facility...How the hell had that happened? The group hadn't even been ontop of the Facility's roof...they had been on a neighboring building. Standing up, the young banshee studied and tried to memorize what was around him. He looked to be in some sort of...torture room...there was a bed with leather straps as if to keep someone down on it through struggling. There was what looked like an electric chair in one corner and some sort of container filled with a light blue-green colored liquid. "Where am I....?"Cab was about to go rushing over to where she had last seen Sai when suddenly the ground from underneath her gave way and a trap door opened, quickly shutting and locking after she fell through it. She held her dress down as she skidded through some sort of narrowed circular passageway. Where the hell was it taking her?! She was thrown out of the passageway and onto a hard tiled floor. She looked around and noticed Josh fall onto the tile next to her. "Jacked up way to get down a building." she muttered before turning her gaze back to the teenage leader. "Where are we anyways? I mean, I don't believe the inside of that building we were on top of looked like this." She gestured a hand toward the white tiled floor and white walls and white ceiling. She shivered as cold air came into the room through vents. Wait.....vents? She looked around. There were no vents in here.
The sound of a throat clearing snapped Jinx back to reality as her gaze went up to Batboy, who was offering a hand for her to grab. She obliged, and grabbed his hand, allowing him to pull her to her feet. "Unless I'm mistaken, I believe we're in the Testing Facility." He shrugged when he noticed her eyebrow raised in question. "Try to stick together." It was like fate had something against them. As soon as the words left the teenage leader's lips, two more trap doors opened from underneath them, taking them both in separate directions and to separate rooms.Arthur let out a hiss of air through gritted teeth as the ground gave way to a trap door which slid open and sucked him through, quickly closing and locking after he was in. He was thrown out of some passageway and onto hard floor. He looked around as Cirna and Travis were thrown onto the floor next to him. The blonde groaned and rubbed her head as she stood up and looked around. The room they were in was dark with a flew lights flickering on and off constantly. There was a wip on the wall along with a spiked club and several other types on torture weapons. "Are we...are we in the Testing Facility?" she turned around and looked over at the two boys, who both had a slight scared look in their eyes just like her. Her multi-colored eyes occasionally darted to the walls that surrounded them, looking for some way to escape. There were no vents, no doors, no windows.
"I believe we are," Superstar replied as he walked over to the wall and placed his hand on it.
"No! Don't touch anythin--" Arthur was cut off by wire-like hands reaching out from the ground and grabbing the three supers. Sorceres fought back but was quickly sucked into the ground. "Cirna!!" Travis fired his heat vision at the mechanical arms and hands but was shocked with several volts of electricity, knocking him out-cold. "Superstar! Wake up!!" Feral's tries were useless. He watched helplessly as the teenage hero was sucked into the wall. Panic started to fill the young boy as he fought back, kicking and screaming. He wasn't about to go back to some lab or whatever. A mechanical hand covered his mouth and slowly sucked him into the ground...Olivia clearly felt the hostility from Athena, or rather any Titan that was there. It was obvious she wasn't liked. Hell, she didn't even like herself after the stunt she had pulled. She looked over at Dawn, wondering if she could spark a conversation with the stranger. She didn't know Dawn, which was good. If she didn't know her, then she doubted the other girl hated her. Before she could speak, though, the ground from underneath her gave way and she fell through a trapped door. Squealing slightly in surprise, she tried to grab something to stop her descent, but the walls around her were smooth and there was nothing to grab. She fell through an opening in the wall and landed on the ground with a loud THUD. Quickly looking behind her, to her dismay she found that wherever she had come from was already closed and gone. She stood up and checked to make sure she still had all of her arrows and her bow. She did. That was a good sign. She rubbed her butt, which hurt from landing on the hard tile.
Black Arrow heard another thud and looked over to see Harvey on the ground next to her. She pulled her leader to his feet. "Where are we?" she asked as the teenage leader looked around, taking in their surroundings.
"I think we might be in the Testing Facility."
"But...how?" the teen archer questioned as Harvey shrugged. Before he could answer a wall shot down from the ceiling, cutting through the room and separating the two villains. She banged on the wall with her fists. "Harvey?!" She thought she heard a muffled voice reply to her but wasn't one-hundred percent sure. She was on her own now, separated from her team and her leader.Ishi frowned when she saw Cheyenne but quickly turned her attention back to everything else that was going on around her. She was about to ask what happened to Sai when suddenly she fell through a trap door. What the hell?! Where had that come from?! Obviously her feet, but that's not what she meant. She slid down some sort of circular passageway, her hand grasping Kage's hilt so as to not loose her precious shadow sword. She fell onto a hard, cold ground that felt like tile. She sat up and rubbed her head when she saw Dylan and Kristy fall onto the ground next to her out of the corners of her eyes. "Ow!" she heard the speedster say and rolled her eyes at the young hero. "Great, I'm stuck with you."
"Well it's better than being alone!" Stone Alice snarled in return as she heard a small whimper come from her other side. Looking over, the half-alien saw Dylan looking around, his hand in a fist and over his mouth. His eyes were wide with fear. Pity crept into the teen as she placed a hand on the Australian's leg, getting Mimick's attention. "Hey, c'mon be strong. You got out of this place once and you can do it again. We'll protect you." As if fate was against her, trap doors opened underneath all three of them a sucked them in, taking them different directions and into different rooms within the Testing Facility."What ha-- ", Shift started to ask, but was interrupted almost immediately, as Quickshot vanished from his point by the Testing Facilities' rooftop-door.
Almost instantaneously, all allies from both sides of the law dropped mysteriously from sight, while Shift felt the concrete underneath her thick-soled boots give way. If it had crumbled, even quickly, the shape shifter was almost certain she could have gotten away from the apperantly booby-trapped roof. This was not to be the case, however; most of the roofs' tiled concrete seemed to be on inverse hinges - sturdy ones, given the amount of jumping, stamping, landing and falling that they had been subjected to that night alone. But gravity beat all, apperantly. Gravity and someone with a plan three steps ahead of Batboys', it seemed.
The hand that wasn't holding Vivians' grabbing panickedly for the werepyre as Shift found herself slammed onto some sort of shoot - almost like one could find at a water park, but engineered much slicker, as it needed no water - and fur wasn't very conduitive to sliding anywhere - and much more steep. Or maybe it was the terror riding through the teenagers' viens as she was plunged into a dark unknown that made the 'ride' seem faster; she couldn't really be sure, not right then, dazed and confused as she landed in a dim room, breath fully knocked out of her crime-fighting body. Vivian had no idea what the hell just happened. One moment she had been standing next to Athena, waiting for the mission to begin, then the floor was just swept out from under her....literally. A surprised yelp slipped past her lips as she started falling, trying to grab a hold of her girlfriend, but she was quickly jerked in another direction. Panicking as the metal shoot shot her downward, she tried to stop herself by pushing the heels of her shoes into the bottom of the tube, but there was nothing there for them to catch on. So, she just continued down the incredibly fast, dark tube, going God knows where. Though, it didn't take that long to get to....wherever it was it took her. The werepire landed roughly on the cold, tiled floor with a grunt as the thing dumped her into some kind of dimly lighted room. Groaning as she slowly sat herself up, she looked around at the room she was in. Her vision was a bit blurry from the dazed effect the fall had given her, but it eventually faded and she could see some of the room, though not much. 'What the hell just happened? And-- what happened to everyone else?!', she thought as panic and fear filled her body. No. No, she couldn't be here alone.
Vivian's multicolored eyes fearfully darted from one side to the other as she pushed herself against the wall, the opening to the tubing sliding close before she had any time to do anything about it. Her body slightly began to tremble as her eyes adjusted to the shadowy room, spotting a tilted testing table that had leather straps hanging over the sides. Nearby that was a tray of utensils that sent a dreadful chill down her spine. Though, that chill instantly turned to terror as she spotted the tools that were highly similar to the ones used on her, including the leather muzzle that was hanging over the side of the tray. Her heart rate quickened as her memories came flashing back into her mind. This was a mistake. This whole thing was a mistake! They shouldn't have come here, they shouldn't have! The werepire tightly shut her eyes as she tried to gain control of herself, wanting to force the memories away, but they only became clearer. She had to get out of here. She just couldn't stand being in this room for another minute! "Oh, shi--", hissed Jeremy as he suddenly sunk into the floor, though this time it wasn't because he phased through the roof. He didn't actually have time to look at what exactly it was, but it didn't take a genius to figure it out. Some kind of trap door or compartment had opened underneath him, and apparently everyone else. At least, that was what he guessed by a number of voices cursing and yelling out, though that might've been his voice screaming and yelling. The phaser was never really big on thriller rides and this had pretty much just earned itself the top line in his book. Closing his eyes as he sped down the chute, Phantom didn't even think about trying to phase through the metallic material, he couldn't even focus on even the simplest things at the moment. Tightly holding his arms around his chest, he let out another yell as the tube suddenly became wider, spitting him out into a small, brightly lit room. He yelped out as his back came into contact with the hard ground, not moving for a moment as he tried to shake the surprise from his body.
Groaning as he rolled over onto his side, Jeremy opened his eyes slightly, but quickly closed them at the sudden brightness of the room. He quickly shielded his eyes with his hand, squinting as he tried to see where he had landed. The room was completely white and filled with blinding florescent lights that hung from the ceiling, causing the room to seem whiter than it probably really was. He had no idea where the hell he was, and he didn't like that. He could barely see anything in this damned room as he stumbled onto his feet. Even when he was shielding his eyes and squinting, it was too bright to actually see anything. Phantom took a few shaky steps forward, hoping that his eyes would adjust soon so he could at least get some kind of idea of where he was. Though, the chances of that happening didn't seem very good.

Kicking at a small rock that rested in front of her, Cheyenne watched as it rolled across the pavement and into the frost-covered grass. She never really was someone who particularly enjoyed the cold, but today just seemed like a day to go out. She was wearing a black hoodie with different colors splattered onto the front, making it look like she had paint spilled onto it or something and dark denim jeans. Nothing really that made her stood out like she usually did, but her spirits were still a bit down from Ishi's harsh rejection. The bruise wasn't very pronounceable, but you could still see it if you looked close enough. A quiet sigh slipped through the dark-haired teen, the mist of her breath swirling in front of her as she sat herself down at one of the park's benches, not really sure what to do. She was off-duty until that evening and Traa had left to go find himself some food and to go flocking with some of his friends, though she never understood what was so fun about flying around aimlessly in a flock. Not like they actually got anything done, or really did anything but fly.
So, with no one to hang out with or talk to, Crow shoved her hands into the pockets of her hoodie, hoping to keep them from getting too cold. She still wasn't one-hundred percent sure why she had come to the park of all places, but she was already here, so no point in going somewhere else. That, and she was honestly too lazy to walk anywhere too far. She was actually comfortable on the bench, at least as comfortable as a person could be on those wooden things. Closing her dark-brown eyes for a moment, the Titan quietly hummed a song to herself, ignoring the few people who walked by, not that there were really that many people here in the first place. It was freezing outside, not to mention it was still early in the morning, so who in their right mind would come out here?
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Kenna pulled her scarf up a little more, closer to her mouth. Why the hell was she out here? It was too cold for her liking. The teen was currently dressed in a white jacket, faded light blue denim jeans, white sneakers, a golden scarf, red gloves, and a silver baret. She rubbed her hands together and blowed her warm breath on them. Looking around, she noticed Cheyenne. What was someone doing out here so early in this damned cold? Was the girl crazy?...Wait...she was out there too...Oh, that made her crazy too. Hell, what was wrong with being crazy? Crazy was fun! The teenage Amazon rarely got any time to just be herself and go crazy. She was busy with finding her brother, unaware that he was actually in Young Justice just like herself.
Walking over to the Titan, Wonderstar put a small smile on her face, despite being bitter about the cold. She was built for Miami, not this damn cold. Sure Coalfield had gotten snow and freezing cold at times, but she had mainly stayed inside on those days. Now she was outside and her toes felt almost numb, as did her hands. Walking over, the teenager looked over at Cheyenne. "Is it okay if I sit next to you?"Cheyenne wasn't paying much attention to the girl as she walked up to her, too busy with humming and trying to keep her mind focused on one thing. Though, that was a bit hard considering the fact that she suffered from ADHD. But, at least it wasn't as bad as it probably would've been had she not been on medications for it. The dark-haired girl slightly jumped as the girl spoke to her, obviously not expecting someone to talk to her. The Titan opened her eyes, looking up at the girl for a moment before lowering her gaze. "Uh...yeah, sure.", she said, slightly scooting over to the side to let the girl have some extra room to sit. She wasn't exactly sure why the girl was choosing to sit here when there were many other empty benches around, but that didn't really matter. Besides, maybe it would be nice to have someone around. Hey, maybe she could make a new friend, which would be nice after what happened with Ishi. Also, not really including her teammates, she didn't really have any friends. Usually her friends were all through her "job", not saying there was anything wrong with that.
Crow quietly sighed as she looked around the practically empty park, wondering why the girl was out here so early in the first place. Maybe she should ask her. Or, maybe not. She looked over at the other girl out of the corner of her eye, mentally debating on what to do until a side finally won. ".......So, any reason why you're out here in the freezing cold so early?", she asked, turning her head towards the girl. Hopefully, she wouldn't mind answering her question, though she knew some people were sensitive to those kind of things for whatever reason. She never really saw it as something personal unless it was something......well, personal.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Kenna smiled and sat down next to Cheyenne. She fixed her baret on her head, running her fingers through her dark wavy hair. She looked over at the Titan as she spoke, pondering the girl's question. Why was she out here in this damn weather? Hell, she wasn't even sure. She hated the cold, yet here she was. Right smack in it. A chuckle shook through her and she looked away for a moment, taking in the scenery that surrounded the two girls. "In all honesty, I'm not sure," she replied, turning her gaze back over to Crow. "I think I just needed to go for a walk. I'm sick of the docks, for several reasons, so I guess I chose this place. It seems peaceful at this time of the day...what about you? What brings a lovely person such as yourself here?" Lovely? Why the hell had she called her "lovely"? Yeah, the dark-haired Titan wasn't ugly...but she sounded like she was flirting with her. She wasn't flirting at all. Why would someone flirt when they first met a person? Hell, flirting was for the third or fourth meeting, not first or second. That would make her seem desperate, and the young Amazon was anything but that.
Wonderstar didn't care whether she was dating someone or not. She was perfectly happy being single, though it got depressing when she watched happy couples. Her view on couples were a bit different than most. She had chosen to either wait until she was married to have sex or to never have it at all. Her reasons, of course, were based off of seeing what the sex trade had done to Ken and not wanting any part of that sexual activity. Also, she didn't get why couples kissed and had sexual intercourse. Did they have to do those things in order to stay together? What was wrong with having a relationship without all that? Sure, she wouldn't mind kissing or hugging whoever she dated, but she wasn't too thrilled with the idea of swapping spit with that person. Turning her attention back to Cheyenne before she could gross herself out mentally even more, the teenage heroine waited for the teen's reply to her question.Cheyenne listened to Kenna as she went through her reasons for being here. Though, she was a bit curious as to why the girl was complaining about the docks. As far as she knew no one actually lived there or spent really that much time there. Shrugging the thought off, the Hispanic Titan was a bit caught off guard when the girl called her 'lovely'. She wasn't sure why the girl had called her that, but after what happened with Ishi, she pushed her mind to the thought that she hadn't meant it to sound like flirting. Besides, she no longer had really much hope now when it came to her love life. What were the chances that this girl would bethesame as her in that way? But, even so, Crow couldn't help but slightly blush at the comment and she prayed the othergirl wouldn't notice it.
"I-I don't actually know why I'm here either. There's just been a lot going on right now and.....I guess I just needed somewhere to think.", she said, her dark brown eyes looking around at the park before falling back onto the girl. Her blush was still there, though it didn't improve really when Crow actually took a good look at the girl. She wasn't too bad looking herself, actually she looked really cute. But, the minute that thought entered her mind, the Titan instantly slapped herself mentally and pushed them out. Cheyenne quickly looked away, not wanting to think about that anymore. She had already had her heart shredded into pieces once and she wasn't going to allow that to happen again. Besides, this girl had no interest in her in that way.....right?

Carlos sighed and leaned back against the fence that surrounded the carnival. What was he doing here? He didn’t even know. He figured he should be at the apartment like Harvey had ordered him to stay, resting, or at Jeremy’s place…but he just needed to be alone. He had three days to live. That most certainly was not pleasant news to the teenage banshee. He didn’t want to die, course who would? He would be taken away from Jeremy, and that was something he didn’t want to happen. Plus he was technically a ghost and he didn’t know what happened to ghosts who “died”. He needed help, that much was certain. Yet he never asked for any. He didn’t want any. Cirna might know a spell that could heal him, but he never asked her. He wasn’t afraid of dying. He had done it once, so why be afraid now? A part of him even wanted to die after running into Gregory Kishie. Gregory had only been in Jump City for one day to check in on Charles, but that day had seemed like a thousand years in Hell to the young banshee. His body still held the bruises from it and the cuts were becoming scars he doubted would ever fade. Kishie had etched himself into the teen’s mind and left the boy emotionally and physically fragile.
Ever since then, Whisper’s powers had been on the fritz. His powers were what were killing him and now he couldn’t even control them! His death was quickening and coming in three days, soon to be two as it was night time. Watching little kids scream with joy as they rode one of the small rollercoasters made for humans their age, the banshee’s mind wavered and he almost phased through the fence but caught the action in time to focus his mind and shut his powers off. Grasping the fence, his breath coming out as slightly panting, Carlos ran his fingers through his hair. He looked up at the sky. He remembered how he had grown up in a strict Christian family that did everything according to the Old Testament. A part of him did still believe in a God, but he felt like that God, where ever He was, was distancing Himself from him. God planned everyone’s death, that much the teen remembered, yet He had planned on Carlos dying two times? That made no sense to the teen. “If you’re truly out there,” Whisper muttered under his breath, “Then why am I suffering so much? Why can’t you just kill me now?”
Quietly watching Carlos from behind, Jeremy sat down on one of the many benches lining the Carnival, ignoring the people who walked around him. He had followed the banshee to this spot, but he hadn't done anything to make his presence obvious. The white-haired teenager need space and time to think, but he didn't want him to be alone. Phantom slowly lowered his gaze to the ground, not really wanting to think of what the next two days held. He remembered when the banshee had told him he was dying; he had been devastated. He finally found someone who he could call a friend, and call even more than a friend, and he was losing him. Of course, it crushed his heart, and he'd been doing everything he could to stop this, but there was nothing for him to do. There wasn't anything anyone could do.
Jeremy's jaw slightly tightened at the thought, and swore some god was enjoying watching their pain. Glancing back at Carlos, the dark-haired teen slowly stood from the bench and walked over to his boyfriend. No, they hadn't known each other for too long, but it had been enough for them to build on their feelings, which was a bit ironic in a cruel way. They were becoming closer each day and Carlos was dying. Stopping behind the banshee, Jeremy slowly wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his chin on the other boy's shoulder. "Guess who.", he said, playfully, as he tightened his grip around Carlos. He probably should've just left the boy alone to his thoughts, but, honestly, Jeremy couldn't stand it. If he going to lose him, then he wanted to spend as much time with him as he could.
Carlos snapped back to reality when he felt someone's arms wrap around his waist. He opened his mouth to snap at the person but instantly shut it when he realized it was Jeremy. His face went pink at the sound of his crush's voice. He was happy to see him, despite originally wanting to be alone. No matter what the banshee did, he couldn't shake the phaser. Course he didn't want too. He just hated how he always seemed to be worrying Jeremy, especially now that he had told him he only had three, no two more days to live...possibly even less. The clock was ticking and each time he used his powers it sped up and skipped a few minutes, maybe even hours.
Trying to hide the thoughts in his head, Whisper glanced over at Jeremy. He hadn't expected to see the teen at the carnival. Coincidence, maybe? The white-haired ghost doubted it. He figured Jeremy had probably followed him. Stalker much. The thought made the teenager chuckle. Oh how he would love to point that out and see the look that went on Jeremy's face. Considering the option, Carlos tilted his mouth to the side in a gesture that meant he was thinking. A smirk slipped onto his face as he asked "Were you stalking me?" There, he asked it. Now, he hoped Jeremy would give a reaction that would be hilarious. Hopefully it would lighten the banshee's mood.
Jeremy remained silent for a moment, trying to think of the best response to Carlos question before saying, "Nah, I was just walking along when I saw this gorgeous boy all alone. And I couldn't just leave him there by himself." He tightened his grip around the banshee and gently kissed him on the cheek. Sure, he was lying, and he knew Carlos knew that. But, he'd never admit to it. The phaser quickly phased himself through the fence the white-haired boy was leaning against and stood next to him, his one arm still wrapped around his waist. "So, what are you doing out here anyways?", he asked, glancing at his boyfriend, then watched the crowd of people walking in a number of directions. He never actually been to the carnival before, since he usually found these kind of things as...well, pointless. The rides always seemed minor and they didn't look to be as thrilling as he wanted them to be. Of course, what did he know? He could be completely wrong about his assumption, but he never did anything to find out if he was wrong or not. Maybe tonight he'd try some of the rides. Maybe.
Carlos blushed as Jeremy called him gorgeous and even more when his crush kissed his cheek. He pouted childishly when Jeremy's attention was taken away from him. The teen gently elbowed his crush in the stomach. He hoped the phaser would allow him to be selfish. He didn't have long to live and he wanted all of the boy's attention until the day he died. He wanted to be the only thing on his mind. Plus, he also got jealous very easily. He would never admit to it and would try his best to hide it, but it was the truth. The young ghost would frown and get almost instantly jealous and upset if he saw his crush looking at another guy, even another girl, whether Jeremy was gay or bisexual. He couldn't help wondering if the teen got jealous easily too. He wasn't sure about Jeremy's exact sexual orientation, but he knew himself that he was bi, not full on gay. A small part of him still looked at girls and thought they were cute and even hot at times, but he always thought that Jeremy was cuter and way hotter.
"Just out walking I guess," Whisper replied as he leaned in to his crush's grasp a little, attempting to pull his attention back to him. "I guess I just needed some time to think. Time alo--" he shook his head, stopping himself from mentioning that he needed time alone "--nevermind. I'm glad you're here. I missed you already." He looked up at Jeremy's face and smiled shyly.
Jeremy grunted with a small oof as Carlos suddenly elbowed him in the stomach. It hadn't actually hurt him as much as it had surprised him. He looked over at the other boy with a confused look, rubbing his stomach with his hand, and asked, "What was that for?" He figured the banshee had done it for some joking reason, but something had to have brought it up. Slightly shaking his head, smiling, the phaser leaned back against the fence, watching his boyfriend out of the corner of his eye. He tightened his grip around the white-haired teen, bringing him closer to him, and let out a soft, content sigh. Even though the carnival was filled with a number of people, the phaser actually found it kind of relaxing. The sweet smells of popcorn and cotton candy filled the air along with the roars of rollercoasters and the delighted screams of the passengers. Who would ever guess this place to be relaxing.
Jeremy smiled as he turned his gaze back to Carlos, raising his free hand up to his face and gently brushing his cheek with his fingers. "I missed you, too, babe.", he said with a small smirk before pressing his lips to the banshee's, ignoring some of the odd looks they were getting from passer-bys.
Carlos felt his face go bright pink with a blush. He felt the warmth of Jeremy's lips against his cold skin. He went to wrap his arms around his crush's neck but stopped short and pulled away. He ran his fingers through his snow white hair. There was so much he wished he could tell Jeremy, but he knew he couldn't. He didn't want to get the teen's hopes up only to have it come crashing down if something went wrong. "H-Hey, wanna go on some rides? I'll buy you a wrist-band so we can go on as many as we want," he asked hesitantly before putting emphasis on the fact that he would pay for it. He didn't understand why, but his crush seemed to have a problem with him paying for stuff. He always seemed to insist on paying instead of letting the young ghost handle it. It irrated the living hell out of Whisper. He hated argueing about it and hoped Jeremy wouldn't protest. He didn't want to start an arguement when his time to live was so short.
Jeremy was a bit disappointed when the banshee pulled away, but didn't think too much about it. Besides, they were in public and they couldn't exactly...well, do what they usually did. The phaser stared at his boyfriend for a moment as he brought up paying for his wristband, slightly biting his lip. He really, really didn't like people paying for things for him. He wasn't sure what it was, but it drove him crazy! Looking away for a moment, Phantom thought about saying something about it, but remained quiet. The last time he had tried to convince Carlos to let him pay they had ended up arguing about it and he just made the situation worse. So........maybe he could let it go just this one go. "Alright. I'll let you pay for it.", he sighed in defeat, running his hand through his hair. It was probably going to bug him for awhile, but he'd get over it eventually.
(Sorry it's short. My brain died momentarily)
Carlos grinned. Finally Jeremy was going to let him pay! He grabbed his crush's hand and pulled him over to where tickets were bought, waiting in line. He groaned at the length of the line. Four other people...okay so it wasn't that long but it seemed like it was longer to the banshee.
(( my brain died too T.T ))
A soft chuckle escaped the teenager's mouth as Carlos dragged him over to the ticket stand, half stumbling over a trampled popcorn box. Grateful when the banshee finally came to a stop, Jeremy intertwined his fingers with his boyfriend's, gently squeezing his hand as the boy groaned. "Oh, relax, Carls. It's not like it'll take that long.", he said, smirking. Though, he end up being wrong with that assumption. The lady in front of them was arguing with the guy in the ticket booth about how the tickets were over priced and that they were just trying to rob her of her money. It was stupid, really. And, the worst part was that there were hundreds of people just like that. The tickets were only five bucks every ten. If you asked him, he thought it was a pretty good deal. Though, it obviously wasn't for the woman. A frustrated sigh slipped through the dark-haired teen as he shifted his weight to his left foot, playfully leaning against the banshee. He knew it annoyed him, and that was the exact reason why he did it. He loved the reactions he got out of his boyfriend, they were always so cute.
Phantom continued to lean on Carlos more and more every second, waiting for his response. He wondered what he'd get out of him this time. Would he just try to push him off, or would he start complaining about it? Either way, the phaser always found it amusing whether the reaction was positive or not.
Carlos raised an eyebrow as he noticed the lady arueging with the ticket guy. Why couldn't she just pay for them and move on? Course, maybe she didn't have enough money. He wondered if he should offer her some money but decided not to, knowing he was low on cash himself, though he would never tell Jeremy. If he did, he knew his crush would instantly insist on paying. The teenage banshee tilted his mouth to the side as he felt Jeremy lean on him. He didn't exactly know why, but it annoyed him whenever anyone, including Jeremy, leaned on him. Maybe it was cause he didn't like feeling them pushing against him, either way, he felt his feet falter and almost fall over but managed to keep his footing. He would have normally just pushed Jeremy away and not almost fall over, but his body was weaker every day. Every second that got closer to his death, he grew weaker.
Straightening his back and getting back into line, Whisper sent a playful glare at Jeremy, though he doubted it would do anything. Arthur had repeated pointed out that the young ghost sucked at glaring. According to the plant-controlling teen, the white-haired boy was "too cute" to be taken seriously when he glared. Carlos mentally hoped his boyfriend wouldn't think anything of the fact that he had almost fallen over. Hopefully his crush would just shrug it off, though the teen doubted it.
Well, that was a bit of a disappointment, and a bit odd. Jeremy watched Carlos out of the corner of his eye, waiting for his reaction, but he never got one. Instead, he ended up almost pushing his boyfriend over, which was also unusual, and it concerned him. Was he already that weak? The dark-haired teen instantly stopped his playing around, tightening his grip on the boy's. "Hey, you okay?", he asked quietly, not wanting to bring unwanted attention to them. He knew the white-haired teen was......dying because of his powers, as much as he didn't want to accept it, but he hadn't realized the banshee would be so..well, weak because of it. He would be lying if he said he wasn't highly worried. Hell, who wouldn't be? His boyfriend was dying, and it crushed him knowing that, but he'd never show it. At least, not until the time finally came.
Quickly shaking his head to clear his mind of those depressing thoughts, Phantom caught Carlos glaring at him out of the corner of his eye. He slightly smiled as the other boy failed, making him look more cute than annoyed. It was funny how much he would try to act mad or irritated, though his attempts never worked. But, on the brighter side, it made him amusing to watch. Not to mention, it was good enough to say Jeremy finally got some kind of reaction out of him.
"I'm fine," Carlos replied though he didn't believe it himself. He hoped it didn't show in his voice. He laced his fingers with Jeremy's, glancing over at his crush before looking away again. His eyes scanned over everything else that was going on around the two. As he scanned, his eyes soon fell upon a scene that well...didn't look right to him. A group of guys surrounded this teenage girl. The guys looked well into their twenties and like nothing but trouble. The girl's grip on her purse was tight and her eyes were somewhat narrowed, as if she was trying to keep them from widening in fear. The banshee could make out a few sweatdrops on her brow. She was scared, but wanted to look tough. How did he know all this? Hell, he wasn't sure. Maybe he just paid a lot of attention to people.
Pulling his hand out of Jeremy's grasp, Whisper lightly kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. "I'll be right back, okay? I just have to go use the restroom. Save my spot in line?" He smiled at his crush before walking off toward the bathroom. He didn't want to ruin their night by getting into a fight, but something about that scene didn't seem right to the young ghost. He wasn't sure why, but he felt as if it was his job to stop something bad before it happened. Glancing back at Jeremy to make sure he wasn't watching him, the teen ducked behind the bathrooms instead of going inside.
Jeremy studied his boyfriend for a moment, trying to decide if he was telling him the whole truth or not, but didn't push it. As much as he wanted to know, he didn't want to force him to tell him. He's already done that before and those conversation had a tendency to not end like he'd hope. Softly smiling at the banshee, the phaser slowly nodded his head, giving the boy's had a slight squeeze. "Alright, just making sure.", he said in a quiet voice. He eventually turned his attention to the different activities of the carnival, not noticing the small quarrel that the other teen spotted. Phantom was a bit surprised at first as Carlos pulled his hand away, but it didn't last long as he explained his reasons. "Okay, take your time. I don't think the line'll be movin' any time soon.", he said jokingly, watching his boyfriend for a moment as he walked away, then turned his head back to watch the obviously pissed woman that was still holdingup the line.
Jeremy quietly sighed as rolled his eyes at the scene, still not fully understanding the whole reason this lady was making such a big deal out of tickets. Couldn't she just pay and leave so other people could actually enjoy the activities the carnival offered. The dark-haired teen quickly made a quick glance out of the corner of his eye towards the bathrooms just as Carlos ran past them, obviously not going where he said he was. Frowning, he took a step towards the restrooms, butvstop as he glanced at the line. Well, they could get te tickets later. Confused at why the banshee had lied to him, Phantom quickly walked over to where he saw his boyfriend disapear, hoping to be able to keep up with him without being noticed.
Carlos had his back toward Jeremy, not noticing that he crush had followed him. He was looking out the other side, watching the man and girl. One of the men attempted to touch the girl, who took a step back and looked as if she had just cussed the guy out. The second guy grabbed the girl's purse and pulled it away from her. It amazed the banshee that no one else had noticed. He would have liked to step in right then and there, but he was worried about Jeremy seeing him and knowing that he had lied to him, unaware that his boyfriend was actually behind him. Growling outloud with frustration, the white-haired boy watched as one of the men grabbed the girl by her arms and started pulling her out of the carnival, the other twirling her purse in his hand, and the other man looking around to see if anyone had noticed.
Narrowing his eyes at the scene, Whisper followed them outside the carnival and into the parking lot. He hid behind cars, knowing that his snow white hair and pale skin would stick out like a sore thumb in the darkness. He heard the girl start to scream and then her screams got muffled. Not being able to bear it any longer, the teen shot to his feet yelling "Hey! Lowlife trio!" He hoped they believed his fake confident attitude. He just copied how he often heard Arthur talk to complete strangers that he claimed were punks. The men looked over at him and laughed. "What the hell is this? Some scranny little kid trying to be a hero?"
"Don't underestimate me," the teen snarled, surprising even himself. He couldn't remember the last time he had gotten this angry. He didn't notice it, but his eyes changed from light blue to blood red and the girl smiled at him. "I'll kill you in a split second!" That voice...it was his...but it was so harsh and cold...yet it was his voice....right? Yeah, yeah, it was his, just a different side of him he hadn't ever experienced. Was this a side affect of his plan? He looked over at the dark-haired girl as she mouthed one simple word "Kill."
It all happened in a split second. The men shoved the girl aside and she hit a car, falling down and looking to be outcold. Carlos opened his mouth and let out his shriek. It sounded exactly as it was, a banshee's howl. The men were pushed against their van and dropped the girl's purse. Whisper closed his eyes, focusing all his power on his howl. The men started to age, rapidly, before their skin finally fell off, as did everything else until they were nothing more than shriveled skeletons. Carlos stopped his attack and covered his mouth as he started to cough. He fell to his knees, one hand over his mouth, and the other clutching his stomach as he saw blood drip off his hand from his mouth. He heard running and saw the girl kneel down next to him as his eyes went back to their original light blue color. She looked at him as he continued coughing.
"Dear, dear...it seems my little test has sped up the illness...you're dying..." her voice sounded so familiar. Carlos tried to focus on the image of her in front of him but everything went black. He held his stomach as he retched up blood, feeling the girl rubbing his back. "I am sorry...I felt the need to test you...to make sure you're worthy of my help...I could have defeated those men but I chose to let you save me...in the end I have hurt the person who I now swear to protect." She held his hair out of his face as he continued to retch out blood. "I known it hurts, Carlos, but bear it. Grit your teeth and fight it. You will have my magic behind you...free of charge. You just have to fight this, alright? You have people who care about you and love you." She waved her hand and her purse appeared next to her. Taking out some tissue, she whiped the young ghost's mouth, despite his mental protests that she could hear via mind reading spell. She snapped her fingers and all the blood disappeared. "Look strong young one. The one you love will be here soon. You do not want him to see you like this, no? Now come. You die soon, but I will make it longer...I came to Jump City today and only today, I leave in a few minutes."
She led Carlos over to the fence and lay him against it. He looked up at her, weakly. He was even more pale then usual, his skin almost white. His light blue eyes were a bit glazed over but she knew it wasn't anything to worry about. He wasn't dead. Close to it, but not completely dead. This was her fault. She shouldn't have tested him, but after being betrayed and used so many times, she just had to be sure. She knelt down in front of him and brushed a few strands of hair out of his eye. Knowing his boyfriend would be there soon, she leaned in and pressed her lips to his. Sparks flew, literally, around the two as she transfered some of her magic to him. He kissed back hungrily, of course. He was a banshee, a ghost, and those creatures naturally hungered for a witch's magic. He could feel her warmth transfering to him as his strength returned and his skin became not as pale. It was still pale, but now it was its usual pale shade. A slight moan even escaped the banshee, which the girl found slightly cute. He was like a little puppy. Hell, he did have a collar on him. Pulling away slowly, she licked her lips as did he, taking in whatever magic might have been left there.
Looking up at her, Carlos was surprised he recognized how she looked. Well, she looked how he had pictured her whenever they had talked over the phone. Tall, skinny, and long, flowing dark hair. "Wha-what's your name?"
"My dear boy, you already know it." She stood up and slung her purse over her shoulder. "It is Kira...the Black Witch." With that, she walked off and literally disappeared into the shadows.
Carefully following the banshee, being sure he kept a far away distance so he wouldn't notice him, Jeremy watched Carlos from behind a dumpster. What the hell was he doing? In his state of health, did he really think he could take on those three guys? Phantom was about to step in and help just as Carlos made his threat and stopped. Did that really just come out of Carlos? He had never heard the banshee sound so.....cold and heartless. The dark-haired teen stared at his boyfriend from behind, shocked by his actions. He had never seen him use his Banshee Shriek, but he had heard enough to know that it wasn't something the white-haired boy used, at least not on people. Which was why his eyes widen with shock as the banshee used his power, watching with horror as the men aged before his eyes, then slowly rotting to shriveled, sun-bleached bones . His breath caught in his throat as he stumbled a few steps back, staring wide-eyes at the stranger in front of him. This wasn't the Carlos he knew. He never liked the idea of hurting anyone, let alone killing them. This wasn't his Carlos.
Slowly shaking his head, taking another step back, Jeremy stood there frozen with shock. At least, until Carlos doubled over, blood dripping from his mouth. The sight of his blood shook him back into reality, making him take a step forward as if he was going to run to the banshee's side, but the girl beat him to it. He could've just continued and ran to help, but something stopped him. He wasn't sure what it was, but something told him not to interfere. Confusion and worry washed over his face as his boyfriend continued to cough up blood, just barely being able to keep himself from running to the two. He leaned forward, straining to hear what the girl was saying, but he couldn't make out any of the words. They were too far away, and it didn't help that she was speaking in a low, quiet voice. Phantom took in a deep, slightly shaky breath as his finger drummed against the metallic surface of the dumpster. What was he doing still here? Why wasn't he over there with Carlos? Hell, how was he suppose to know? It was like something was physically holding him back.
Turning his attention back to Carlos and the girl, Jeremy took a few steps towards them, not worrying about being out in the open. There backs were towards him and he figured he was far enough from them. He thought about just walking up to them when he stopped. His eyes widened with shock and hurt as Carlos.....kissed the girl. And, the worst part was....he was actually kissing her back. The banshee actually looked like he was enjoying it. He wasn't fighting back or anything! His mouth slightly dropping open, the phaser felt his mind come to a complete halt as his heart just seemed to be crushed. Was this how the banshee felt that night he told him about the incident with his ex? Was this God's way of punishing him for it? Jeremy stared at the two, completely oblivious to the so-called sparks that flew around them, his mind only focused on the fact that he was kissing someone else. Then, the two finally pulled away, the banshee looking content with himself. He could see the their mouths moving, but couldn't understand what they were saying, his mind reeling from what he had just witnessed. He wasn't even aware that the girl had actually disappeared into thin air, his eyes, full of hurt, staring at Carlos.
Carlos shakily rose to his feet, panting from the surge of magic that the kiss had given him. His fingers brushed his lips and suddenly his mind reminded him of Jeremy. Guilt filled the banshee's heart, wondering what he should do. Could he tell his boyfriend that he had kissed Kira and actually enjoyed it? No. He couldn't tell him. Running both his hands through his hair, the young ghost turned around, his eyes closed, wondering what he was going to do. If he did keep it, the guilt would eat him away most likely but if he did tell his crush....would he forgive him? The white-haired teen didn't know, and he wasn't sure if he was willing to take the chance. He didn't want to risk his crush hating him for it. He'd keep it a secret. He had to.
Opening his eyes, Whisper practically felt his heart stop. His light blue eyes widened with slight fear. Jeremy was standing right in front of him, a hurting look in the other boy's eyes. He--he had seen the kiss....? He had seen everything? Of course! The entire time the banshee had a feeling that his crush might have been watching but he had stupidly ignored it. Fear crept into him. He had seen. He had seen everything that had happened. He felt his body start to shake a little as he bit his lip. No. No. No! He couldn't have seen! Opening his mouth, Carlos tried to speak, he really did...but no words came out. He could only studder and not form real words. Mentally, he was begging God to wipe his boyfriend's mind. He stood there, not wanting to hear what his crush had to say, but unable to move. He felt tears sting his eyes when he realized that he might have actually screwed everything up for good. He didn't know what to do. He felt like his entire world and heart might possibly fall apart in front of him at any second. He figured he could always run to the apartment and go crying to Arthur and Teddy, who seemed to like to baby him, but...what good would that honestly do? He was fifteen, not five. He didn't need someone holding his hand and telling him everything was going to be okay...unless that person was Jeremy. He needed Jeremy, he wanted him. Now, though, he wasn't worthy of him and he knew it. The young ghost mustered up the courage to look at his boyfriend as tears rolled down his cheeks. "D-Did you....see....all...of that?" He mentally scolded himself. That was all he could say? He couldn't even fix it with those words!
Shaking his head, Carlos didn't even give Jeremy time to reply or even possibly think of what he had just asked him. He didn't want to give him time. He was afraid. He was so afraid. He couldn't loose Jeremy, he couldn't. "I-I a-am...s-so sorry..." He wanted to run to his crush and hug him and beg him for his forgiveness...but he was afraid of being pushed away. He had never felt this way with anyone, not even with Arthur. He loved Jeremy more than he loved anyone else or anything else. He was in love with him...yet he had just hurt him. Crying hard, the young ghost tightly shut his eyes. He couldn't face Jeremy. He just couldn't. He didn't know what to do, so he did what he normally would do. He ran. He ran as fast as he could, opening his eyes of course so he could see. His vision was fogged by tears but he could make out his way and phased through every object that came in front of him. He was heading back to the only home he truly knew. The apartment. Rider's Deck's headquarters. He needed to see Arthur and Teddy. They were the only people he felt he could run to and that would be able to help him. Not looking back at all, Whisper ran away...
Jeremy didn't know what to do as he stood there. He could see Carlos' mouth move as he spoke, but he didn't understand any of the words. They were all scrambled as his mind continued to run a blank. He couldn't believe his boyfriend would do something like that. What had been the whole point of it? He didn't say anything or made any move to suggest he was about to say anything as the banshee spoke. He just stared at him, trying to comprehend what just happened. Everything was just falling apart around him. He felt hurt, crushed, betrayed. The dark-haired boy's eyes were practically glazed over as he watched the white-haired teen run. And, he just stood there. He couldn't get his body to do anything, though he wanted to call out his name. But, would it really be worth it? Hell, would it be worth it to even stay with him?! ....Yes, it would. He couldn't even imagine spending a day without Carlos. To not feel the touch of his skin, to not hear the sound of his voice, to never see him again. He just wouldn't be able to stand it.
A single tear ran down Jeremy's face as these thoughts swirled around his mind, snapping him back to reality. He had to go after him. He just had to. He couldn't lose him, at least not now. He loved him and he wasn't about to lose him because of something as stupid as this. Everyone makes mistakes. Hell, he had. The phaser then finally got his legs moving, running after the banshee as his vision blurred with tears, but he quickly wiped them away. Crying could wait, right now, all that mattered was getting Carlos back.

It was quiet in the villian's hideout, most of the members out on missions or some other business. No one one was in the apartment, except for a black cat that had stretched herself out on the floor, warming her fur from the sunlight that shone through the window. Midnight slowly opened her unnatural purple eyes and looked around the room. Why did she have to be the one who had to stay here? Oh, yeah, because Cirna convinced Harvey to keep her here. That fricken bitch had gone through this whole 'speech' thing to explain how important it was for at least one member to stay at the hideout, and had chose the black cat to be the victim. Not that that had been a huge surprise. There had been two reasons the blonde douche had done that to her. One: she just plain hated the feline probably as much as she hated her. Two: her, Harvey, and Cirna were suppose to go on a mission together and she was only trying to get the team leader alone.
Shadow's tail twitched with irritation at the thought, frowning as she became jealous. She wouldnever admit it, especially since she wasn't human, but, honestly, he liked Harvey. That might've seemed weird since she was a cat, but, mentally, she was human. But, that didn't matter. There was no way Harvey would ever return her feelings no matter how human she was mentally. What sane human would ever go out with a cat? Midnight quietly sighed as she pawed at a small dust bunny that rolled across the piece of carpet in front of her. Could this day get any more boring?
Carlos groaned as he walked back up the steps to the apartment. He had been assigned a mission but then at the last minute Arthur had convinced Harvey that the banshee should stay home, just because of how "weak" he apparently was. He walked over to the apartment door and fumbled in his pockets for his keys. Both pockets were empty. Great. He ran his fingers through his hair before phasing through the door. He knew he shouldn't use his powers, but he was dying anyways, and plus there was always a chance his plan would work. He yawned as he stepped through the door, tired from last night's "activities" with Jeremy at his crush's house. Thinking about that made the pale skinned ghost blush. He pushed the thought back as he looked around and saw a black cat laying on the floor.
"You stuck here too, Midnight?" Whisper asked as he sat down on the couch, wincing. Now, even moving caused him so much pain. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, and prayed that if the cat noticed, she wouldn't say anything. Everyone was worried enough over him and he didn't want to worry them even more. The young member of Rider's Deck lay down, resting his head on the arm of the couch and turning the television on, glancing back over at the cat with a smile. "Anything specific you wanna watch?"
Midnight jumped as Carlos' voice seemed to come out of nowhere, yowling with surprise as she darted onto her feet. Arching her back as her fur bristled along her spine, she twisted around to face the banshee. "C-Carlos, I-I thought you were with Arthur.", she finally said as she relaxed, embarrassed by her reaction. But, it didn't make any sense. She hadn't heard the boy come in at all, and she knew the door made plenty of noise when it was opened. So, why hadn't she heard him? The black feline carefully watched the human boy as he sat down, catching the small, painful gestures his facial expressions showed. She knew enough about pain to notice even the smallest things the body expressed as a sign, and it was obvious to her that Carlos wasn't okay. She looked at him, slightly concerned, but didn't say anything. She knew how he got when the other's brought it up, and she didn't want to deal with that.
Shadow quietly walked over to where Carlos sat, jumping up onto the couch and sitting herself down next to him, curling her tail over her paws. "It doesn't matter, really. This television that you humans find entertainment in seems pointless and foolish to me.", she said bluntly, looking up at the banshee. She may have the mentality of a human being, but she still preferred the activities of a cat. She would never admit it, but she loved playing with the many toys Harvey had bought for her. She usually didn't play with any of them when others were around, unless that person was Harvey since he was the only one who'd actually play with her. But, they obviously hadn't played for awhile because of all the things that were happening. She slowly glanced over at the corner of the room where her fishing pole toy rested. It was a small, plastic green stick with a blue string tied to it with a colorful plush fish attached to it. It was actually one of her favorite toys, and she was tempted to play around with it, but it would no doubt get boring after awhile. Besides, it was always much more fun when she had someone else to play with.
Carlos glanced at the toy fishing pole and then at Midnight, figuring that the cat wanted to play. He switched the television off and stood up, wincing slight. Damn it. Why did it hurt to do anything?! He walked over and picked the pole up, glancing at Midnight and smiling. "Wanna play?" he asked as he walked over and dangled the plush fish in front of the feline. He knew she had the brain of a human, but highly doubted she would be able to resist the toy. Hell, if he was a cat he doubted he would even be able to resist it. He absent-mindedly tugged at the collar around his neck. It was black leather with blue rhinestones on it. His crush, Jeremy, had seemed to enjoy it and the fact that there was a matching leash that came with it. The banshee soon realized he had left the leash at Jeremy's place, but shrugged it off. He was glad to be rid of that damn thing even if the collar was stuck on him.
Turning his mind back to Midnight, Whisper dangled the toy in front of her again, smiling. "Can't have you lying around here all bored, now can we?" he pulled the toy along, making the string and fish move around as if it were alive. He watched the toy, every now and then glancing at the black cat to see what she would do. The teenager hoped he wouldn't insult her by possibly treating her like an ordinary cat. She had honestly seemed like she wanted to play with the toy and heck, he was bored, so why not have some fun?

Dylan walked into the meeting room, completely lost. Jeez why did this damn Tower have to have so many rooms? The teen was almost every day getting lost! He sat down on the floor, deciding he would wait for a Titan to find him and guide him back. Course...where had he been heading? Oh yeah, out of the Tower. He wanted to visit his mother's grave. He had tried to sneak out, knowing Alex would probably not want him to go. He had left Fred in his cage under his bed and had noticed Sai fixing himself up in the infirmery, so he had no one he really knew to go with him. The only Titans he had talked to were Alex, Vivian, and Sai. Alex was, well it was raining outside so he wasn't really an option, Vivian was probably busy with her kids, and then Sai was trying to fix up some wound he had gotten.
Sighing out of complete bordom, Mimick looked around trying to keep himself occupyed. His mind flashed back to the whole situation with his dad. Man, he needed to vent it out to someone or else he was going to explode! He hated feeling like this. He leaned his head against the wall a little hard, hearing a THUNK noise.
This was so awkward. Alex quickly walked down the hallway towards her room, trying to avoid anyone she met. Since Goma ratted her out for her hidden gender, she had been a bit more open, but still, she didn't like the attention. And, it didn't help that the dark-skinned teen had dressed her up either. After dressing and acting like a guy for so long, the red-haired teen had no idea what was in style for girls, and Goma had been the first to help. Obviously the breast band that she had used to hide her thankfully not so big chest had been taken off, and so did the boxers and t-shirts. They were all replaced with more feminine clothing, and, honestly, Alexandra hated it. It felt so uncomfortable. Her jeans practically clung onto her bony legs, her shirt's neckline felt to low, and it just didn't feel right. Sure, the shirt she had on wasn't too bag. It was black with some graphic of a tree or something, but the v-neck was what bothered her. Not to mention it did kind of cling onto her.
Torch just couldn't take it any more. She was rushing to her room, hoping no one saw her, so she could change back to her 'normal'clothes. That was when she pasted the Meeting room, and spotted someone in there. The Titan stopped and peeked in, slightly smiling as she saw Dylan. She thought about saying something, but did she really want him to see her like this? She still hadn't told him who she really was, and, honestly, she was kind of scared to. What would his reaction be now that he saw her like this? A light blush crept onto her face as she looked down at her clothing before she hesitantly walked. "H-Hi, Dylan", she said nervously, biting her lip as she waited for the moment he'd see her.
Dylan looked over and thought it was Alex at first, seeing the face and hair, but then his eyes looked over the rest of the girl's body...girl...That most certainly was not Alex. Not unless the teen had changed his gender, which Dylan prayed he never did. That would just be done right strange. The young Australian stood up, sliding his back against the wall. How had this girl known his name? He had never seen her before. She looked so much like Alex. That's when a thought popped into his head. Did Alex have a sister? Maybe. It was possible. Extending his hand for a shake, like he always saw people do on television when they met, the Australian smiled at the girl.
"Hey," he said his accent getting more and more clear in his voice every day, "Yep that's me. Dylan Ca--just Dylan...um...you wouldn't happen to be related to Alex by any chance would you?" A slight blush was on his face as he felt some sort of giddy nervous feeling in his chest, most likely his heart. The girl was cute, beautiful, and gorgeous. He couldn't remember talking this much to anyone besides Alex, Fred, course Fred didn't really count considering he was a spider, Sai, and possibly even Vivian. His mind wandered back to Alex. Where was he? Usually by now, he expected him to be searching for Mimick.
Ouch, that kind of hurt. Did Dylan really not recognize her? Yeah, she didn't look like she normally did, but still, he had to have known it was hurt. Her smile slightly faultered as he practicaly reintroduced him to her, turning her gaze to the floor. Should she really tell him? He just seemed so.....well, clueless, but that kind of made him cute, actually. Her blush became a bit darker at that thought and she quickly pushed it away, avoiding eye contact. She wanted to tell him, but she was too shy to just say it bluntly. Maybe she could give him hints, and obvious ones at that. Hopefully, he would pick up on them and realize who she was. She prayed he would. Now, to find something to say or do that only Alex would know.
"So...uh, h-how's Fred?", she asked, ignoring Mimick's offered hand, not to be rude, but mostly because she was a bit shy to. Now that people knew who she really was, she was becoming a bit more shy around them, mostly because she didn't know what people would think of her. She looked back up at Dylan, waiting for him to answer. Hopefully, this would start the wheels in his head and get him to see that it was still her, since, as far as she knew, she was the only one who kew about his pet spider. The red-haired teen shuddered at the thought of the small, black bug and tried to pushed the image out of her head. Why did she have to ask about the stupid insect?
The atmosphere turned to awkward for the young Australian very quickly. He pulled his hand back and put his thumbs in the pockets of his jeans, leaning back against the wall and biting his lip. What was he supposed to say next? Why had she avoided his question? Did she not know who Alex was? Wondering what to say next, Dylan was relieved when she spoke up first. A smile stretched onto his face. He enjoyed talking about Fred, since Alex seemed to hate the creature and never seemed to want to talk about it--him. The teen had made a pact to never refer to Fred as "it". He had also made Sai swear to it too. Sai had seemed to study the black spider when he first saw it and even asked why name it Fred. Mimick, of course, didn't know why either. He just said he looked like a Fred.
"He's good," the teen replied with a slight shrug, "He refuses to eat any bugs I put in there yet when I leave some human food in there and come back, it's gone. I guess he prefers our food. So um how did you know about Fred? Did Alex or Sai tell you?" He blinked rather cluelessly as her. Did she know Alex or Sai? Would she avoid his questions again? He hoped not. How was he supposed to get to know her and possibly become friends if she avoided every question he threw out? He wouldn't know a thing about her.
If Alex wasn't trying to convince Dylan who she was, then she would've facepalmed right then and there. But, she obviously wasn't going to do that. A frustrated sigh slipped through the red-haired teenager as she tried to think of another way to hint who she was. Though, she didn't understand how he couldn't figure it out. She was practically throwing the answer at him without actually saying it. But, maybe she should've tried to get deeper. The spider wasn't exactly the strongest piece of proof that she was in fact Alex, so she'd have to try something else. Running her hand through her hair, Torch returned her gaze to the ground as she tried to think of something.
"Um....H-How are you wounds and everything from the Testing Facility? I mean, the things like the electrical door was pretty painful.", she said, throwing him the most obvious hint she could give him. If he couldn't figure this out, then she didn't know what would. Still, Alex prayed he could figure it out with that. She had been the onlyone who probably knew about the electrical door, especially since she had a first-hand experience with it.
Dylan's eyes widened slightly. The Testing Facility. There was a reason he had tried to never bring it up and never talked about it, not even to Sai or Fred. He barely even talked about it with Alex. The girl mentioning it, and again avoiding his questions, sent memories back into the teen's mind. He slid to the ground, grasping his head. He could feel the cold, gloved hands of scientists touching him. He could hear their voices talking in his head, feel the liquids they dunked him in almost every day. He closed his eyes. Bad idea. He could now see himself back in the cell he had been in. He could see the scientists walking past him. Some stopped and watched him, writing down on a clipboard. He heard the ZZZ noise the electric bars made. He could feel the electricity zapping him.
Mimick yelped as his body started to tremble. Where was Alex?! He needed him! Fred was a spider and Sai wouldn't understand what was going on. He needed Alex! He wanted him to be there. Where was he?! Why wasn't he there?! With him? The teen let out a small whimper noise. He needed Alex there. He needed him. "A-Alex!!" he called, still trembling and grasping his head, his eyes shut tightly. He begged for his friend to come. He prayed he came.
Oh, no. What had she done? She had gone too far with this. Why didn't she just tell him sraight off the bat. Alex quickly rushed to Dylan, kneeling down beside him. "Dylan. Dylan, shhhh, it's okay. It's okay. It's me, Dlyan. It's Alex.", she said frantically, trying to calm him down. He probably woudn't believe her when she told him she was actually Alex, but she had to do something. She tried to get him calm by placing her hands on his shoulders, but it didn't seem to be doing anything. Finally, the red-haired teen wrapped her arms around him, trying to stop him from shaking. "Dylan, look at me. You're okay. It's me, Alex. You're going to be okay.", she said, trying to remain calm, but that was hard to do. What if she couldn't calm him down?
Dylan wrapped his arms around Alex and hid his face in her neck. His body wasn't trembling no more but still shaking slightly. Alex? She had said she was...Alex? How could that be? Alex was a guy not a girl? Right? Even so, Alex would never lie to him and his friend had never said he was a guy. The Australian teen opened his eyes as he felt himself blush. All this time Alex had been a girl? Well that explained why the teen was developing a crush on his friend.
"W-Why didn't you tell me?" Mimick asked as he released her from his grip. He tried to hid the blush on his face, but he doubted it was working. He glanced over at Alex and took in how beautiful he really thought she was. He placed his hand on her's, unaware he was doing so.
Alex's face became warm as she felt her blush deepen as Dylan buried his face into the crook of her neck. Her heart quickened it pace and she softly tightened her grip around him, both to comfort him andbecause she didn't want to let him go. She knew she'd have to explain to him about her being a girl and all, but, honestly, she didn't want to, not now. Her blush was still visible on her face as the blonde boy loosened his grip and looked at her, asking his question. Torch looked away for a moment, her heart skipping a beat as Mimick rested his hand on hers. She wasn't sure what to say, both because she wasn't sure how to explain her answer, and......well, she was just speechless. Being this close to Dylan practically made her heart stop, and filled her with the warm, fuzzy feeling. Lightly biting on her lip, Alexandra looked back up at Mimick, sharply inhaling and ran her free hand through her hair, nervously.
"W-Well.....I just didn't-- I didn't want you to think I was some kind of...f-freak, or anything.", she said, softly, and returned her gaze backto the floor, her dark blush also returned. She hadn't exactly given him the entire truth, but the was more personal and she didn't want to get into all of that. But, she really hadn't told him beause she was afraid of what he'd think of her, just like she feared everyone else. Not everyone saw cross-dressing as an acceptable thing, she had realized that when she was younger, not that it was her fault. Her father was the to blame. That damn bastard turned her into the scared, confused cross-dresser she was. But, she didn't want to think about that, not now. She just wanted to thik of Dylan, and that was all she wanted.
Dylan bit his lip. Why would Alex think he'd ever think of her as a freak? The teen carefully pushed some strands of hair out of Alex's face. "I'd never think of you as anything negative," he admitted with a shy smile on his face, his cheeks pink with a blush. "You're the most special person in my life. Friend or more, whenever I think of you always something positive comes to my mind. You're cute, you're beautiful, you're lovely, you're everything good in my life. I'm actually glad you're a girl. Heh, for a moment I thought I was going gay or bi." He let out a slight chuckle and looked at his friend, taking in the view.
"I am really blessed to know someone like you," he continued with a crooked smile, "Without you the sun wouldn't shine in my life. Life wouldn't be worth anything. I'd die without you. Maybe that's a little drastic to say, but..." He looked away, blushing bright pink. He then looked back at Alexandra. "I think I'm falling for you..."
The light pink blush on Alex's face turned to a dark red as Dylan brushed a few stray strands of hair from her face. A shy, crooked smile slipped onto his fae as he started to speak, turning her gaze to the ground, slightly embarrassed by the blonde boy's words. But, embarrassed in a good way. No one had ever said anything close to what he was saying to her, and her heart just seemed to be pounding in her chest, quickening with every passing second. Did he really think she was all that? She never saw herself anything more than just....well, a person. A plain, unspecial, and useless human, quoted from the same words her father use to tell her. She looked back up at Dylan, her face still bright red, when he said the thing that practically made her jaw drop.
He-- He liked her? He actually....liked her? Alex stared at Mimick her eyes slightly widening as her mind shut down. If she wasn't speechless before, then she completely was now. She couldn't get herself to say anything. Hell, she couldn't even think of anything to say. Her mind had practically shorted out at his words and she wasn't even sure if she could mive any more. But, she had to do something instead of sitting there like a blubbering idiot. Alex looked back at the ground, her face burning now with a blush as she tried to get control of herself again. She still didn't trust herself to say anything, so she'd have to use some other way of communication. The red-haired teen looked back at Dylan, softly smiling as she held his hand. "I think I am, too...", she whispered, as she finally got her mind in order to come up with that small sentence. Then, she did something that even surpised herself. Using her other hand to balance herself, Alex carefully leaned forward a bit hesitantly before pressing her lips to Dylan's, her other hand tightening it's grip on his hand.
Dylan's mind went completely blank. One hand rested on his own leg, as the other laced his fingers with Alex's. They were...kissing. Just like he saw on the television, except this time it was real. There was no use denying it. He could feel the warmth of her lips touching his. All he could do was kiss her back. Tilt his head slightly and kiss her back. Hell, was there something else he was supposed to do? He sure didn't know. He closed his eyes, wishing the moment would never end.
Alex's heart skipped a beat as Dylan responded to her kiss, her arm wrapping around his neck, bring them closer to each other. She didn't want this moment to end, she never wanted it to. Though, who would? It was her first kiss, and the most perfect kiss in her opinion. Not that she's actually had any other kiss to compare it to. But, of course, it had to end. The red-haired teen slowly pulled away with a smile on her face, her eyes glimmering with unbridled joy. She was still amazed that he actually liked her, hell she'd be amazed if anyone would like her. Her father had burned it into her mind that she was nothing but a useless thing in the world like her mother apparently had been. That women were......well, nothing. But, now, hearing what the blonde boy was telling her, it was like a miracle to her.
After a few moments, Alexandra gently rested her head against Dylan's chest, smiling at the warmth of his body. Her heart was still fluttering in her chest as she looked up at the boy, still holding his hand in hers. Her mind was still sputtering with shock and excitement, scrambling every thought that entered her mind. But, that didn't matter right now, there was no need for words, just affection. ANd, that was all she wanted.
Dylan wasn't actually sure what to do after Alex pulled away. He held his breath as she put her head on him, letting it out quietly as his body relaxed. He gently put his arms around her, holding her close and resting his chin on her head. He couldn't remember ever feeling this way before. Sure he had loved the caretaker at the orphanage and she had cared about him back, but never like this. That was a family kind of caring, this was different. He couldn't put words to how he felt. The words he had told Alexandra were the closest thing he could think of. Truth be told, there were no words in the human language or any other language out there that were perfect and pure enough to describe how he felt, let alone describe what he thought about Alex.
A grin spread itself out on Alexandra's face as Dylan wrapped his arms around her, his head resting on her's. The small, simple gestures shot a quick jolt of excitement and happiness through her, making her feel even warmer, literally. She could feel her body heat rising as it always did when she got excited or angry, but that's what happens when you can control fire. Though, what happened next surprised her. The hand she had rested on the ground suddenly became engulfed with flames, burning the carpet. "Oh, shit.", she muttered as she quickly pulled away from the blonde teen and lifted her hand away from the floor, her hand leaving behind a small smoking spot on the carpet. She quickly closed her eyes and focused on bring the flame down and return it back inside of her where she took most of the energy from to create fire.
The orange and red flame slowly diwndled down untill it finally faded from her hand, her skin unharmed by the fire. Alex glanced up at Dylan as she opened her eyes, relieved to see the flame gone, and shyly smiled. "S-Sorry. I guess I got a bit too excited there.", she said nervously, lightly blushing from embarrassement. She had never had that happen before. Usually that only happened at the highly rare occasions where she became really mad, and she definitly wasn't angry in any way possible. But, she'd also been excited before, but that never happened. Though, of course, she's never felt excited like this before.
Dylan raised an eyebrow and slightly frowned when Alex sat up, only to have both his eyebrows go up at the sight of her hand on fire. He had to quickly remind himself that she could control fire so he wouldn't have a heart attack. While her eyes were closed, he touched his lips, wondering why his powers hadn't kicked in. He remembered hearing someone at the Testing Facility talking about his powers. He could apparently copy anyone's powers by touching their skin with his and the last time he checked, lips were counted as skin. He glanced at his gloved hands before turning his attention back to Alex as she spoke. Mimick chuckled lightly. "Guess you did." He put his hand back on her's, grasping it gently.

Olivia paced back and forth, clearly not happy. Why the hell did Collin want to meet with her? She froze. It was just like he had said would happen. Collin would talk to her and reveal what she knew. The teen archer hurried and walked over to her closet, opening it and stuffing a small device into it. She heard a knock on her door and stood up straight. She knew that if she harmed Collin, most likely some Young Justice member would come to save her. She had to be prepared just in case that member was Travis, half kryptonian.
Striding over to the door, she put on her best Queen smile. She had learned how to fake a good smile from all the meetings she had to go to with her family. She wasn't happy at all. To say she was irrated would certainly be an understatement. With word that a member of Nebula was in town, she really didn't need this. Nebula caused problems for Young Justice and Rider's Deck, and probably the Teen Titans too. They hadn't made a move yet, and so far had just sent Charles to Jump City, but Black Arrow was on edge just by that small little fact. Pushing her worries aside and smiling, she watched as her door slid open.
Collin walked in without even waiting for Olivia to tell her she could. She didn't care. She hadn't even been a Titan for that long and it was probably already obvious to everyone that the two didn't get along at all. Plus, it had become quite clear to the teen why she shouldn't trust the archer. She needed to make that clear to Olivia too, even if it meant risking her own safety. Course would the air-headed blonde really be stupid enough to pull something at the Titans' Tower? The answer was right in the question. Olivia was air-headed and the typical stereo-type blonde. It almost made the teen crime-fighter ashamed of coloring her brown hair blonde. Then again, she didn't know Olivia that well, but in her mind she knew the girl well enough.
Catgirl walked over to the large window of the rich girl's room. The window stretched from the floor to the ceiling, and from one end of the room to the other. Basically it took up the entire room. The curtains were pulled back to the sun shined through. It somewhat dark, considering the sun hadn't even risen yet. While Olivia had probably been sleeping when Collin called her to ask for them to meet, the air of the Wayne household had been training; wakening her body so that she was ready for a fight. She was ready to turn around and call that bitch out so fast, yet she didn't. She did turn around, but all she said in a calm and almost emotionless tone was "I know your secret."
Olivia rolled her eyes, unimpressed with Collin's comment. She had expected her to call her out and say it loudly so that the Titans whom rooms were closed to her's would hear. She didn't, though. Her tone surprised the archer. Of course, she didn't show it. Why let the hero know she scored a point? That would be unacceptable. It was be weakness. She couldn't afford to show weakness, if she wanted to live. So instead she lightly laughed at Collin's comment, knowing it would tick the teen off.
"Everyone has secrets," the blonde stated as her laughter died down, "Foolish kitty cat. Even you have secrets...yes? I mean c'mon...you are your brother's little errand girl." She knew she would throw Catgirl off with that last comment. "I know a lot about you miss Collin Wayne." She made sure to put emphasis on the teen's name. Olivia folded her arms across her chest and took a step forward. "You only joined the Titans as a favor for your brother, Joshua, who prefers to be called Josh and is also Batboy, leader of Young Justice. Creeped out yet? I sure as Hell hope so. I'm no stalker Ms. Wayne, just I have my sources to keep me informed. Now let me guess, you've come here to tell me that you think I'm a little spy working for Rider's Deck; that you think instead of reporting to Athena, I report to Jester; that you think that instead of a hero, I'm a villain." She paused to let her words soak in before chuckling under her breath and continuing. "And I'm here to tell you that you are one-hundred percent right...so now tell me, kitty cat, what are you going to do now?"
Collin's eyes widened. Crap, she was right! She had hoped that Olivia would deny it and not be one of the bad guys, or rather bad girls. Instead she had just confirmed every thought in the teen's head! What the hell?! That wasn't like the fake Olivia, she had come to know. Something must have been up.
"What's wrong?" Collin asked as she too folded her arms across her chest, "Are you scared that I might have told a Titan before coming to talk to you? Well I didn't. Course thanks for confirming everything. Now all I have to do is tell Athena and the other Titans. Then you'll be smoked out, little mole." She lifted her head in a gesture to say she was proud of herself. She wasn't. Olivia had thrown her for a loop, and that wasn't good. The teen archer was getting unpredictable and Catgirl couldn't figure out what move she would make next.
Olivia frowned. She just had to go there. That bitch! The archer uncrossed her arms and laughed. She actually laughed. "Congradulations...you've just signed you're death wish. You see, I'm under strict orders not to let you live. So I can simply tell the Titans that I found out you were a Rider's Deck spy and that you tried to kill me so in self-defense I used my powers on you and you went splat. Now," she smiled to the edge of her face, "Let's make that a reality."
She let out her scream at Collin. Oh how she would love watching the young hero fall to her death. It sent chills of excitment through Black Arrow's body. She couldn't wait to hear the splat of the teen's death.
Collin's eyes widened as the sonic scream hit her and she was sent crashing through the bedroom window. She didn't even have time to scream. Travis was flying by when he heard Olivia's attack. He flew as fast as he could only stopping for a quick second when he saw Collin falling then quickly catching her and flying her back to the room. He landed and set her down on her feet, glancing at the broken glass on the floor and then at Olivia. "What happened?" the half kryptonian asked as Collin took out her guns and pointed them at Olivia. "Woah woah! What's going on here?"
"She tried to kill me!" Collin yelled, her anger obviously getting the better of her. "She's working with Rider's Deck! She's the spy!"
"You say it as if I have a choice in the matter," Olivia muttered under her breath to where Collin couldn't hear it but Travis managed to make out the words. "Well I'd like to stay and chat, but unfortunately you're still alive Ms. Wayne, so now I must be going. Enjoy life for what little time you have left." She ran at Travis and Collin, gracefully jumped over them and out the window.
"Hey wait! That's dang--!" Travis's voice cut short when he saw Olivia land on her feet, "How the hell...?"
Olivia smirked and snapped her fingers. Travis noticed the action and whipped around. He heard a faint beeping noise and his eyes went wide. "LOOK OUT!!!" he cried as he pushed Collin to the ground, grabbing onto her and protecting her by laying on top of her. The bomb went off. Olivia smirked and walked off.
Collin covered her head and closed her eyes. She could hear the explosion and smell the smoke. She opened her eyes and looked around when the smoke had receded. There was a faint glow of green in the room. She heard Travis groan and her eyes widened slightly. Crap. Crap! Crap!! She rolled Travis off of her. He let out a cry of pain which she quickly muffled with her hands. The teenage girl gently rolled the kryptonian onto his stomach. She went speechless. The bomb had been filled with kryptonite. Sure, it had a less powerful affect on Travis than his father, but there was so much. The room was practically glowing with it and the heir to the Wayne household could tell that the bomb had basically embedded kryptonite onto Travis's back. That much kryptonite could kill him. She was sure of it. She reached a shaking hand for her Teen Titans communicator.
Collin coughed and tried her best to wave the smoke away from her face. She gently rolled Travis onto his back, the teen groaning as she did so to him. She lifted him up in the process, though, so his back wouldn't touch the ground. She pulled him onto her lap and held him, placing her hand on the side of his head. "You're gonna be okay," she whispered, hearing his breathing coming out more as labored pants. She whipped her head up when she heard Goma's voice and then Athena's. "Over here!!" the teenager yelled in response.
Travis groaned in pain, biting his lip to keep himself from crying. He needed to be strong, but he knew that he could die. He felt Collin place her hand on the side of his head and gently stroke his hair, trying her best to comfort him. It didn't help, but he was glad she tried. The two were like siblings practically. But nothing could keep him from thinking about and/or feeling the pain in his back. He didn't know how much kryptonite was on him, but he bet it was a lot.

Dylan knew he should have stayed in the infirmery, but he had woken up and Alex hadn't been there. So of course the teen went to find his new friend. Plus, he didn't trust anyone but Alex. Everyone else, well for all he knew might have been in league with the Testing Facility. Also...he was hungry. His stomach growled as he entered the kitchen. He ran his hand over the counter as he carefully walked over to the fridge. For all he knew this place could be boobie-trapped or something.
He wrapped his fingers around the handle on the fridge and pulled it open, darting behind the door just in case something popped out of it. Nothing happened. He peered inside and stuck his tongue out in disgust. Was that blue mold he saw on most of the food? The teenager hoped it wasn't. Even if it wasn't, it was enough to cause his appetite to leave him. He closed the fridge door as a shiver went up and down his spine.
The hungry teen started looking through all the cabnets and drawers. There just had to be something edible here, right? Dylan hoped so.Dammit, where the hell could he be?! Alex quickly jogged down the hallways, trying to find Dylan. He had told him to stay in the infirmary, but he had apparently refused to listen. He had just gone to check on him and he was gone! Why the hell would he leave anyways? Slightly slowing down his pace as he reached the kitchen door, the red-haired Titan prayed he was around here somewhere. The poor dude had been locked up in that damned hell-hole for God knows how long, and he should be resting not taking a fricken tour of the Tower. Reaching for the button that opened the metal doors leading into the kitchen, Alex felt a bit.....odd. He couldn't remember the last time he had been so worried about someone, and it slightly confused him. He barely knew the kid and already he was freaking out like they'd been buddies for years. He wasn't really sure what it was about Dylan that made him so.......protective. Maybe it was because of the condition he found him in...or, maybe it was something else.
Shoving those useless thoughts to the back of his mind, Alex quickly walked into the kitchen, sighing a sigh of relief as he spotted Mimick. Surprisingly, the kid looked generally fine. He seemed a bit like a lost, confused kid, but other than that he was fine. The red-haired teenager walked over to Dylan, slightly smiling, but still tried to hold a concerned expression on his face. "I thought I told you to stay in the infirmary," he said, stopping in front of the other boy, "You fricken had me worried you had run off or somethin'." He hoped the teenager in front of him ad a good reason to disobey his orders, though, as he thought about it, it didn't atually matter all that much. It wasn't like he could've gotten into some kind of trouble or anything.Dylan smiled at the sound of Alex's voice. He closed the cabinet he had been looking in and turned around, trying to hide his pleasure. He was happy to see his friend, and even more happy that Alex had found him. His smile faltered when he realized he had worried the red-haired teen.
"I-I'm sorry," he replied rather shyly. He still wasn't used to speaking after keeping his mouth shut for years. "I woke up, and....you weren't there." He looked down at Alex. For the first time he realized that the boy was shorter than him. He smirked dispite himself, but then quickly whiped it off his face and replaced it with the look a puppy got when it had been caught misbehaving. "I just wanted to find you...but then..." His stomach growled. Perfect timing, Mimick thought as he rubbed the back of his head nervously. He then looked over at the fridge and pointed to it. "There's blue stuff in it," he stated rather matter-of-factly, "I think you guys need some new food."Alex quietly sighed as Dylan apologized and tried to explain why he had left the infirmary, while giving the red-haired teen the well-known puppy-dog-eyes look. Dammit, why did everyone always seem to do that? Though, he probably shouldn't have made such a big deal about him wandering around. "No, it's okay. You just had me worried.", he said, watching Mimick, slightly chuckling at the other boy's growling stomach. He opened his mouth to say something before Dylan commented on the blue mold in the fridge. "Uh.....yeah, don't eat that. I'm pretty sure there's something to eat in here.", he said, walking over to one of the cabinets. He couldn't exactly remember which cabinets had food in it and which ones had the dishes, but it wasn't like he was in a hurry to find food. The first few cabinets he opened had cups and plates in them and one had a huge black spider in it, which made the red-haired teen shout out in surprise. "Holy shit!", he yelled in a bit of a higher-pitched voice, jumping back away from the cabinet. The spider, startled by the sudden noise and movement, scurried down it's web and crawled across the counter.
"Get it away! Get it away! Get it away!", Alex shouted as he stepped away from the counter, his voice sounding.......odd. It didn't sound like it normally did. Actually it kind of sounded a bit higher than most guys, kind of like......a girls voice? Whatever it was, the red-haired Titian seemed to have noticed it and stopped talking, keeping his mouth tightly shut. A light, pink blush sneaked onto his face, though it didn't seem to be out of embarrassment. At least, not all of it. Alex took a few more steps back as the spider continued to scurry across the counter before dashing into the crevice between the fridge and the wall.
Dylan felt his body tense, but he relaxed when he realized Alex was only freaking out over a...spider? An innocent little spider? He raised an eyebrow at the voice that came out of his friend's mouth. It didn't sound like the voice of a guy, but maybe Alex was just unique. He shrugged it off and watched, holding back a laughter. He then walked over to where the spider had disappeared and held his hand there.
The little black creature crawled onto his hand as a smile stretched across Mimick's face. The spider was innocent and pure in his mind. They only attacked humans when they felt harmed. It was in their nature to defend themselves just like it was in human nature too. He lifted his hand up, slowly and carefully so as to not scare the black spider. He looked over at Alex and raised an eyebrow before turning his gaze back to the spider. How could such a small creature scare Alex?
A joke rose up in Dylan's throat, but he thought better of it and didn't say it. He didn't want to insult Alex, considering he was the only friend the teen had. He looked back over at Alex and raised his hand, showing the spider. "Can I keep him?"Blinking in amazement as Dylan held the damned black thing in his hand, Alex took a few steps away from his friend. How the hell could he stand to hold a thing like that?! Just the thought of spiders made the red-haired teenager shudder. Those eight-legged, hairy creepy-crawlies were disgusting and, obviously, scared the living at of him. Though, his unfortunate experience with a spider during his childhood was probably the reason for his arachnophobia. Turning his gaze away from the nasty creature on Mimick's hand, Alex stared at his friend in disbelief. Did he really just ask if he could keep it? "N-No! You can't keep that thing! Get rid of it, kill it, do something with it. Just get it out of here!", he shouted. He knew he was probably over-reacting and he had no reason to yell at Dylan, but he couldn't help it. As long as that spider was in the same room with him, Alex was not going to be calming down anytime soon.Dylan drew back a bit, startled at how Alex had raised his voice at him. The teen looked down at the spider. How could Alex ask him to kill it? It was innocent. It was a pure creature created by God. Whether he believed in a God or not, he didn't know, but that was off topic. The spider hadn't done anything to harm them, yet he was supposed to kill it? To get rid of it? What if it was lost and needed a home just like he had? He looked down at the little creature and could have sworn that he saw it looking up at him with big puppy-dog eyes. He blinked and it looked like a normal spider again.
"Please, Alex?" he wasn't sure why he needed the red-haired Titan's permission. He was begging him as if he was a little boy asking his father if he could keep a stray puppy. The spider crawled onto his other hand. Mimick smiled and looked over at Alex with puppy-dog eyes. "I'll make sure it doesn't hurt you. I'll train it...if spiders can be trained..." He tilted his mouth to the side in a gesture that meant he was thinking. Could they be trained like a dog? Maybe. He looked down at the spider.
"Sit," he ordered quietly hoping Alex didn't hear him. It would be embarrassing if Alex realized the teen was trying to train the spider as a little experiment. The spider...seemed to...well, sit and it startled the living daylights out of Dylan. He quickly looked over at Alex and then back at the spider, which was crawling about on his hand...as if it had never sat down at all. This wasn't making any sense to Alex at all! Why would he even want to keep a bug like that? And, how the hell do you train a spider not to bite or hurt anyone? That was the only thing those damn creatures knew how to do, except for building webs. The red-haired teenager stared at Dylan, the glanced down at the black thing as it crawled around his hand. Oh, great. Now, he was dong the whole sad-puppy-eyes routine. Was that his signature move now or something? Lightly bitting onhis lower lip, the Titan looked away from his friend, staring at the kitchen's tiled floor. He really, really didn't want to have to worry about having a big, black, hairy spider in the Tower, but maybe he was just over-reacting. Maybe.
A frusterated sigh slipped through the teenagers chest as he slightly shook his head. 'This is unbelievable.', he thought as he looked back up at Mimick. "Fine. Whatever. J-Just keep it away from me, got it?", he said, pointing at the spider. Alex still wasn't happy that his friend was going to keep this fricken thing as a pet, but really it wasn't his decision anyways. Actually, now that he thought about it, he wasn't even sure what Dylan had asked him to keep it. It wasn't like he was his dad or anything. Dylan grinned widely. "Thank you Alex!" He began search through the cabinets, still with the spider on his hand. He took down a plastic bowl and a lid for it. He then took out a pen and jabbed holes into the lid. He placed the spider inside and closed the newly made "cage". He grabbed it and held it to his face, watching the spider crawl around.
"I think I'll name you Fred," the dirty-blonde teen stated as he smiled and set the homemade cage on the counter. He then looked over at Alex. "Why are you afraid of spiders? You do know that you're bigger than them?" He raised an eyebrow at Alex. He looked over and found a radio, turning it on. It was on some news report. He turned the volume slightly up, glancing over at Alex to show him that he was still waiting for his answer.
"Soon Australia's very own Gregory Kishie, Armando Milo, Natalia Scorn, and Charles Caster will be coming to Jump City!" the voice on the radio said all to cheery. Dylan froze. He knew all of those names. They had all been mentioned at the Testing Facility many times...and Charles Caster...The last thing the teen needed was to think about that bastard. The radio host said something about Charles already being in Jump City. Mimick's eyes widened as he quickly turned the radio off, frowning. He had completely forgotten about the question he had asked Alex and even about Fred. Charles. He was already in Jump City. That was news the young boy hoped he would never hear.Alex rolled his eyes as Dylan named the black bug, a bit upset that his friend now had a pet spider named Fred. He glanced back at the blonde teenager as he spoke, crossing his arms over his chest. He really didn't want to answer hus question. The memory was too much of a nightmare to want to return to them. Not to mention, they might end up bringing up more questions, which was something her didn't want. He looked away from Dylan as he walked away from the spider in it's homemade container, not really paying attention to what the broadcasters were saying. After a while, the red-haired teenager looked at the container, watching as the spider scurried around the bottom of it.
A shiver went up Alex's spine as he watched and looked back at the other boy. But, his smile had vanished and was replaced with a frown. The young Titan stared at Dylan with a concerned face, surprised that the other teenager would shut th radio off in such a rough manner. He slowly uncrossed his arms, stepping towards his new closest friend. "Hey, Dylan. You okay?",he asked resting a hand on the teenager's shoulder. Alex was really becoming concerned with the way Mimick was acting, and it pained him to see him like that. The look on the blonde boy's face was just so.........something. He couldn't even describe his expression. It was like anger, unhappiness, and disappointment had all been smashed together onto Dylan's face. And, it wasn't something Alex was happy to see.Dylan looked over at Alex. Should he tell him about his father? He didn't really want to bring it up. "I'm fine," he replied with a smile, though it was fake. He just couldn't bring himself to actually smile with the knowledge that his father, that son of a bitch, was actually here in Jump City. The thought made his stomach turn. What if his "father" came to the Tower? What would he do then? He didn't know and he scolded himself mentally for not knowing. Sure, normally when it came to common sense and stuff like that, Dylan had almost none. He goofed around and liked acting like a child, cause in all honesty he felt like one. Like a lost child. But at the mention of his dad, a whole new side of him came out. He became more serious and well, he just didn't look happy. He normally always looked somewhat happy, but hearing that name was like poison to him and it ruined his good mood.
He looked back over at Fred, who seemed to be watching him. He was a strange spider to say the least. The teen blinked and the spider was back to crawling around in the cage, as if it had never been watching him. Yep, it was a strange spider alright. But hey, at least he got to keep it. He looked back over at Alex and tried to give him a reassuring smile to show he was alright, but he failed and quickly looked away, unsure of what to say.Alex watched his friend, not falling for his fake smile. But, he didn't want to push the blonde teenager. If he didn't want to tell him, then he didn't have to. Though, he wished he would. He didn't like to see Dylan so unhappy and he felt useless just standing there. The red-haired teenager opened his mouth to say something in hopes to cheer up the other boy, but he couldn't think of anything to say. It was hard to comfort someone when you didn't know what the problem was in the first place. Sighing in frustration and slowly nodding his head, the young Titan slowly removed his hand from Mimick's shoulder. "Alright, I get it. If you don't wanna tell me, then fine. But, know that you can always talk to me.", he said, smiling at the other teenager. He wanted to make sure that Dylan knew he was there for him if he ever wanted to talk. But, if he didn't want to talk, then he wouldn't try to get him to.
Alex watched Dylan for a few more moments before looking over at the black spider and it kinda looked like.....it was watching them? No, that couldn't be right. Spiders didn't just watch people, or really do anything. The red-haired teen quickly looked away, slightly shaking his head, then looked back at the spider. It had apparently returned to scurrying around in it's homemade container. So, maybe the Titan had just imagined it. But, that seemed like a really odd thing to imagine up. Well, he figured it really didn't matter all that much. Besides, it was just some stupid bug anyways, right?Guilt struck Dylan's heart. Alex had a right to know. He sighed. "It's just...my dad," the teen explained as he ran his fingers through his hair, "He's in town." He clenched his hands into fists as he stared at the radio. What the hell was Charles doing in Jump City? "My father's name is Charles Caster." He wondered if Alex had ever heard of him before. His dad was a famous doctor who traveled the world when some rich person paid enough to have him check up on them. He took care of so many people, yet he couldn't have taken care of Mimick?
The Australian teen sighed. Lately more and more his voice was developing a slight accent that sounded like his father's. He hated it. He didn't want to sound like that son of a bitch. He wanted to sound like himself. Course he was the spitting image of what his father had looked like at his age, except for his green eyes which his mother Miranda had given him. He only knew that cause Charles had told him that one time the two had met face to face."Y-Your dad?", he asked, obviously surprised at the answer he received. "But, I thought you said you didn't have any parents." This was so confusing. From what he had been told by Dylan himself, he had no parents. Alex glanced at the radio out of the corner of his eye, then looking back at Mimick. He wasn't exactly sure what to say. He would've expected the blonde teenager to be happy that he actually had a father, but, maybe, was it because of him that Dylan had been placed into the Testing Facility? That would explain the angry and hatefully actions the blonde boy was expressing. Or, was it something else? Either way, the red-haired teenager hated seeing his friend like this. "Hey, listen. Why don't you just forget about him, yeah? I mean, is it really worth being this upset about a guy you probably won't even see?", he said, praying he hadn't said any of that wrong. He wasn't exactly sure how Dylan's mind worked yet, and it worried him that he might take what he said in a totally different direction than he had anticipated.
Sighing and running his hand through his hair, Alex slowly walked over to one of the cupboards, avoiding the container that held the black spider in it, and opened it. This was the only cupboard that he actually remember what was in it. He quickly reached into it and pulled out a bag of Hershey Kisses, then walked back to where Mimick was sitting. "Here. It'll help.", he said, offering the opened bag to the blonde teenager, hoping this might raise his spirits at least a little. Dylan slowly nodded his head. Alex had a point. He should just forget about him. But he couldn't. He couldn't erase the man's picture from his mind. It sickened him. He wanted nothing to do with Charles, yet the member of Nebula seemed to want to get Dylan into his life and vice versa. The teen turned his head when he heard Alex speak again. He blinked at what his friend was holding. He could have sworn he had had some of those before, but couldn't place what their name was or what the heck they were. He felt embarrassed suddenly.
"Um...what is that?" he asked as his face went slightly red with embarrassment. He knew he had seen them at the orphanage before, but all those years at the Testing Facility had made his memories of the orphanage vague.A small laugh shook through the Titan as Dylan spoke, obviously clueless at what he was handing him. "They're Hershey Kisses. Just eat 'em.", he said, reaching his hand into the bag and grabbing a handful, placing them on the table in front of Mimick. It was funny, really, that the teenager didn't know what Hershey Kisses were, who wouldn't? But, he had to reming himself that the blonde boy had been in that damned Testing Facility for years. Alex carelessly tossed the bag of candy onto the table, reaching his hand in it again and grabbing a handful for himself.
The red-haired teenager quickly started to remove the silver wrapper around the small chocolate candy, crumpling it into a ball and tossing the wrapper onto the table. He then tossed the small candy into his mouth, letting the chocolate melt in his mouth. Chocolate was the boy's favorite candy and that was the main reason he remember which cupboard the candy was in. He would never let down an offer of chocolate. Ever. After a moment or two, Alex glanced back at Dylan, smiling, and began to unwrap another Kiss as the one in his mouth fully melted.

Travis sat down at the edge of the cliff with his feet hanging over the edge. He looked out at the city and sighed. He missed living in Gotham. Sure Jump City was well interesting and did keep him busy a lot, but he missed Josh and Collin and even the other members of Young Justice. Surprisingly Josh had recruited a lot of members, most of which Travis had never even met before. He took his cellphone out and flipped it open. He looked down at it and saw his wallpaper. It was his dad's symbol, the "S" everyone had recognized as Superman. He scrolled down his contacts to Josh's number. It was tempting to call him. He scrolled down to Collin's number and was tempted to call her too. But instead he flipped his phone closed. He had all the numbers of every member of Young Justice in there so it took him awhile to get to Collin's number let alone Josh's. He put his phone away and looked down the edge of the cliff.
With her mind wrapped around a number of thoughts, Maddison slowly walked around aimlessly. Her sunglasses were off and hanging out of her pocket, and she was wearing her new pair of ashy grey leather gloves. And, as always, she was walking around without any kind of shoes. Her foggy, blue eyes stared down at the rocky ground with a bit of a distant look in them. The blind Titan wasn't really paying attention to where she was going, but stayed clear of the cliff's edge. Quietly sighing to herself, the blonde-haired teen slightly slowed her pace as she went deeper into her thoughts. There was just too much going on. After Athena had been returned, things just seemed to go crazy. Vivian was kidnapped by the Testing Facility and became pregnant as a result, there was a new team of villains running around, and a whole bunch of other things.
But, most of all, Mark had left. She didn't know why he left, or where he went, but, in all honesty, she missed him. He was one of the only people who she actually felt comfortable with, and....well, she liked him. Or, at least, she had liked him. But, now that he was gone, Maddison sort of had mixed feelings about him. Sure, if he ever did return, then they'd still be friends and maybe her feelings for him would return, but she didn't count on it. After a few more moments of wandering through her memories with Mark, Maddison stopped as she got close to the edge of the cliff. She didn't get to close, but it was close enough. Besides, it wasn't like she would be able to see anything anyways. And, on that train of thought, she didn't notice the other teenager that sat at the edge of the cliff, either. That was the obvious disadvantage of being blind, you never knew who was there if your mind was elsewhere.
Travis heard Maddi walking and stood up, turning around to look at her. She was beautiful and she appeared to be blind. Maybe she was lost. He doubted it but there still was a chance. "Um excuse me," he said softly so not to startle her, "By any chance are you lost? Or am I just making a big idiot out of myself by asking?" He rubbed the back of his head nervously. She was really beautiful. He had never seen her before. Maybe she was new to Jump City or maybe it was cause he was fairly new.
With her mind elsewhere, the sound of another person's voice slightly startled her, even though the teenager had said it softly. She wasn't sure where he had come from, or if he had already been here before her, but it surprised her that anyone was here in the first place. The blind Titan turned her head towards the source of the voice and gave a small chuckle, slightly smiling at the stranger. "Uh, no. I'm not lost, but don't worry you aren't making that big of an idiot out of yourself.", she said jokingly, which wasn't something she actually did that often, especially since Mark left.
Her small smile quickly faded at the haunting thought of her old crush and turned her head away from the teenager. That was the thing that bothered her the most. No matter what she did she'd always find herself returning to the memories of Mark. She tried not to think of it, but she couldn't help it. He had been he best friend and crush, how could she forget him? The blonde-haired teenager quietly sighed, almost completely forgetting about the other boy who was there with her.
Travis looked at Maddi with worry in his eyes. She seemed to be depressed, but Travis couldn't really tell why. He reached out and touched her hand. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked his voice coming out soft and soothingly, "C'mon. I hate to see girls as beautiful as you all depressed." He added in a smile even though he figured she couldn't see it. He may have sounded like he was flirting with her, but it was the only way he knew how to cheer a girl up. Compliment them. It had always seemed to work with Collin, so hopefully it worked with Maddi too.
Maddison slightly turned her head towards the boy as she returned back to reality, opening her mouth to reply to the stranger's question. At least, until she felt his hand touch hers. What was he doing?! She had just met him, she didn't know his name, and he thought he could just reach for her hand? No, he didn't fully grab it, but still. The blind teenager jerked her hand away, becoming a bit uncomfortable about the whole situation. She knew he meant well, but that wasn't something you did to a stranger. At least, not in her opinion. But, as the other teenager continued to speak, she was again caught completely off-guard.
A deep blush covered the Titan's face as the boy made his comment. She never had someone say that to her, that just wasn't normal. Maddison turned her head away from the seemingly flirting teen and nervously chuckled. "Uh.....thanks. I-I guess.", she said, mumbling the last part of her response. She honestly had no idea what to do now. She kind of wanted to just make up some kind of an excuse to leave, but something about this stranger kept her from leaving. She wasn't sure what it was, but, even though he did make her a bit uncomfortable with his sudden actions, a part of her actually wanted to stay. The blonde Titan turned her gaze back to the teenager, though she obviously couldn't see him, and waited for whatever he was going to do next.
Travis pulled back. He shouldn't have touched her hand. He scolded himself mentally. He noticed her face get slightly red and guessed that he had embarrassed her. He put his hands in his pockets and looked at the ground, wondering what to say next. He didn't want to leave such an awkward atmosphere. "M-My name's Travis Kent," he said finally after a long pause, "Wha-what's your name?" He wasn't sure if he should ask her or not. It seemed he had already freaked her out and he didn't want to do it again. He kept his voice soft and caring, so he didn't sound rushed. He had spoken his words slowly, making sure they came out right. The last thing he needed was to look like an idiot again in front of this girl.
Running a gloved hand through her hair, Maddison lightly bit her lip, trying to figure out if she should answer his question. Why did she always end up in these awkward situations whenever she met a guy? "I'm Maddison Hawkins.", she said, looking over at Travis. The blind Titan felt a bit more relaxed now that she knew his name, but she still felt a bit uneasy. She didn't know what to say and the silence just seemed to drag on. Quietly sighing to herself as a cold breeze suddenly blew by, the blond teenager slightly shivered. God, why did she always seem to be wearing a short sleeved shirt when it was chilly? And, it didn't help that she didn't have any shoes on either. She should've known better, though. It was autumn and the days were getting cooler, so she should stop going around in shorts and short-sleeved shirts. Or, she could've at least listened to the weather report.
Maddison had already been stuck in this position before with Mark, though that had been a lot worse. She had been walking around barefoot with a sleeveless shirt in the midle of winter. It should've bern pretty obvious to her that it was going to be cold, but for whatever reason, it just never seemed to occured to her. Well, it wasn't terribly cold out, so she'd probably be able to stand being out here just as long as there weren't any more cold breezes blowing by.
"Maddison," Travis repeated under his breath. He looked over at her and smiled. "That's a pretty name." He rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Look um...I'm really sorry about the horrible first impression. I'm sorry if I made things awkward or something..." He sighed. It was a bit chilly out Travis noticed. He picked his jacket up from the ground and pulled it on. He noticed Maddi was walking barefoot and raised an eyebrow. Wasn't she cold? Travis shrugged it off. She must not have been if she was walking around barefoot.
Maddison glanced over at Travis, not saying anything in reply to his apology. She crossed her arms over her chest, rubbing her arms as another shiver shook through her. Sighing and turning her head away from the teenage boy, she simply said, "It's fine. This isn't the first time something like this has happened." It didn't make much sense to her, but she always seemed to find herself in awkward situations whenever she met a guy. The same exact thing happened to her when she first met Mark. Well, not the exact same thing, but it came out to the same result. The blind teen looked back to Travis as she heard the ruffling of him putting his jacket on. For a moment, she wished she had a jacket, but like always she had left it at the Tower. She wasn't sure why she even had one since she never actually used it, though she probably should. Maybe this winter she'd start bringing her jacket whenever she went out. Or, maybe not.

Dylan huddled in the corner, cold and wet. He couldn't even remember what had happened. The last thing he could remember was some of the scientists dragging him out and then nothing. Nothing but blackness. It scared Dylan even more than before. He may have been experiemented on millions of times before, but at least he could remember all those times. The fact that he couldn't remember was enough to send chills up and down his spine. What had those freaks done to him? Course according to them...he was the freak. He was the one who needed to be caged. He was an animal. He was a threat to everyone. Just by touching the right person he could gain the power to destroy the world! At least that was what the scientists always told him. And then there was that girl. Cirna she had called herself. She had said something about being a member of a group of villains known as Rider's Deck. Of course since he'd been cooped up in the Testing Facility for so long, Dylan hadn't even known who Rider's Deck was. Then...she had said something about wanting to use Dylan. She had looked him in the eye and said right to his face that he was a monster and an animal. She had said that the scientists had been right all along...but that they were also wrong. She had said that Dylan was an animal...that could be tamed. Actually tamed. The last thing she had said before she left was that she promised Dylan that he would be tamed and that she would be the one to do it. Also she had told Dylan to watch out for the Teen Titans. That they were his enemy. He found it hard to believe since the Titans were heroes while Rider's Deck were villains, but when he mentioned that to Cirna...what she said really got him thinking. "Then where are they?" she had said, "Where are they? Why haven't they come and rescued you? If they're heroes how come you and a whole bunch of other people are stuck in this hellhole of a place? How come you're not free and back at the orphanage, where you want to be?" Dylan wasn't sure if he believed her or not, but she did have a point. Where were the Titans? Why hadn't they came and rescued him yet? Every night he prayed for a savior to come and take him away yet everyday all he got were more and more tests done on him. The numbers kept increasing each day! Soon the scientists would just kill him. He was sure of it! Whether it'd be an accident or not he didn't know, but he didn't want to wait around long enough to find out.
God, this place gave him the creeps. Alex slowly walked through the cold, shadowy hallways of the Testing Facility. He really, really didn't want to be here, but there had been more reports about the insane scientists here testing on involuntary subjects. He wasn't suppose to really do anything while he was here, he was just meant to investigate and see if the reports were true. He didn't know why this place was still in business; it was run by power-crazed people with insane scientists for employees. Quietly sighing to himself, Alex turned the corner leading to another series of endless hallways. He wasn't sure where he was, but he was sure he was somewhere he wasn't suppose to be. Every door he pasted had a lock on it and the hallway was even darker than the ones he had been in before. The young Titan slightly shivered as the temperature in the area seemed to drop, or maybe it was just him. Either way, he was cold and he hated being cold. The red-haired kid was about to just stop and turn back around and hope he could end up somewhere that was warmer until he came across a room that didn't have the door closed all the way.
Quickly looking over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching, Alex quietly peeked into the white painted room. He couldn't really see anything, the door wasn't open far enough to see the entire room, so he slightly pushed it open farther. Pushing his head through the opening, the red-haired teenager was finally able to get a good view of the room, but he wasn't happy by what he saw. Behind the wall of bars that split the room in half, there was a boy sitting in the corner, shivering. It shocked Alex to see that the reports were accurate. These mad men were testing on people, and he doubted this teenager gladly volunteered. The Titan started to push the door open completely, but he stopped. He was given strict orders not to intervene with anything that was going on at the Testing Facility, but the boy just seemed so helpless. There was no way he could just leave him here. The boy gently bit his lower lip, trying to decide what to do. Should he do what was right, or be loyal to his orders? Silently cursing under his breath and mumbling something about getting in trouble, Alex threw the door open and quickly walked into the room.
He walked up to the bars and said just barely above a whisper, "Hey, are you okay? I'm gonna get you outta here." Alex wasn't exactly sure how he was going to get the boy out, but he knew he'd figure something out........hopefully.
Dylan lifted his head up. Water dripped off of his hair, or at least he hoped it was water. He didn't really want to know what he was soaking wet with. He turned his attention to the teen standing in front of the bars. Who was he? And had he just said...he'd get Dylan out of this facility? Dylan doubted it. He was probably finally going crazy. The boy was probably just a figment of his imagination...but still...what if he wasn't? What if his prayers had finally been answered and someone had actually come to rescue him? It was worth a try. "Y-You are?" his voice came out as a forced whisper, and a little cracked. His throat hurt from the lack of talking he had done over the years. He went to rub his his neck, but his hands hurt like he had actually been fighting the scientists this time. Had he? He couldn't remember. He looked the boy up and down, making sure he wasn't a scientist undercover. Course he seemed to young to be one, but Dylan wasn't sure. He looked up at the boys face and added "Promise?"
Alex watched the boy for a moment as he spoke, his voice weak and dry. "Yeah, I promise.", he said, slightly smiling as he nodded his head. No, he didn't know how he was going to get him out, but he'd figure it out.......eventually. The door inserted in the wall of bars seemed to be lock as he expected, but might as well try to break it open, right? The Titan quickly walked over to the door, reaching his hand out to touch the metal door, but the moment his hand came into contact a sudden shock of pain shot up his arm. He cried out in pain as he jerked his hand away, cradling his arm against his chest as his muscles twitched from the electric shock. Duh, did he really think it was going to be that easy? Wincing from the pain that still lingered in his twitching arm, Alex glanced at the boy before looking around the room for something to turn the electric current off. There wasn't any obvious switch that he could seem, but there was a metal box on the wall and he figured the switch was in there. The red-haired teenager released his arm, allowing it to hang limply against his side. He walked over to the box and tried to open it before realizing a key was needed in order to open it. But, who needs keys when you have fire? The box seemed to be made out of thin metal and Alex guessed it would be fairly easy to get through it. At least, he hoped it would be.
Pressing his uninjured hand against the box's metal lid, he focused his fire power only to the palm of his hand. He could feel the warmth of the box underneath his finger tips as the temperature of his hand increased and the lid's surface began to bend underneath the pressure of his hand. A few moments later and the lid had completely collapsed into the box, revealing a switch and a blue button. Great, now he had to try to figure out which one turned off the deadly metal bars. Sighing in frustration, Alex stood there for a moment, trying to decide which one to choose. Well, guess he won't know until he actually tried it. The young Titan quickly reached his working hand to the switch and flicked it down, but nothing seemed to happen. Quickly looking back at the boy with a bit of a confused expression, he asked, "Did it work?"
Dylan winced. Maybe he should have warned the boy about the eletricity. It was too late now. It didn't seem to stop the boy though. Instead, Dylan saw him walk over to some metal box. He had never known what it was for, and had just figured it was there for decoration or something. He watched as the teen touched the box and the metal...melted? Dylan's mouth almost dropped. This boy had powers, like him. So he wasn't alone! He wasn't an outcast! He closed his eyes as the teen seemed to flip a switch, but then opened them. Nothing happened. At least it seemed that way. Course what had the boy been wanting to achieve? Maybe the box controled the electric bars. Dylan staggered to his feet weakly and walked over to the bars. He hoped they were shut off or else he'd just get electricuted worse than the boy since he was wet and liquid seemed to amplify the electricity's power. He reached out a shaking hand and touched the bars, closing his eyes. He waited for the pain, for the tingling sensation he knew would come into his hand and go through his arm...nothing. Nothing happened. He opened his eyes and touched the bars with his other hand. Again nothing happened. He let go of the bars and looked over at the boy, smiling. It had been awhile since he had smiled, but obviously he still remembered how to do it. And he had reason to smile this time. He was happy. Whatever the teen had done seemed to work. Course Dylan wasn't sure if the box had done it or if the boy's powers had, but whichever one it was made no difference. He was free. Well, close to being free at least. Now he just had to figure out how to get past the bars.
Alex watched as the boy stood and placed his hand on the bars, holding his breath as he waited for the boy to cry out in pain as he had. But, nothing happened. A half grin flashed onto the red-haired teen as he started to walk over to the boy, but stopped mid-step as he realized he had no way of actually getting the boy out. Sure, he had switched off the electrical current that flowed through the bars, but that wouldn't do anything if he couldn't get out. He studied the size and thickness of the bars for a moment before deciding that they were way too thick for him to melt; it would take too long and they didn't have forever. He bit down on his lower lip as he tried to think of someway to free the boy. Making a quick scan around the room, his eyes returned to the half melted box on the wall where the switch was, but...what about the blue button? Alex had almost forgotten about the button, but he was a bit nervous about pushing it. He didn't know what it would do, and it might end up ruining his whole rescue mission. But, he had nothing else to work with.
The young Titan cautiously walked back to the box, staring at the button, his hand hovering over it's blue surface. He quickly threw a nervous glance in the other boy's direction, then pushed his finger into it and.......nothing happened, again. At least not right away. A shrill buzz reverberated around the room, making the teenager jump. Oh, no. He hadn't set off the alarm, had he? A wave of panic crashed into him, but the loud buzz stopped just as fast as it had started, followed by a soft click as the door of the barred wall slightly creaked open. Nervously chuckling, still startled by the sudden buzz, Alex quickly walked over to the door and gently pushed it open. There weren't any alarms going off, so that was good. Smiling to the boy, he took a small step back, allowing room for the boy to walk through the door.

She couldn't help wondering if this was what people meant when they said something was too quiet. She had volunteered to take up patrol for that night in Metropolis - Clark was busy with an off world mission, Chris and Thara had to help out after some natural disaster on the other side of the globe, and Travis was still trying to get himself up off of his couch, that poor boy needed some serious cheering up. So Supergirl had decided to patrol Metropolis and look out for any dangers. While she thought Travis needed to just throw himself back into the swing of things to get over his guilt, she understood why he didn't, and she didn't want to make things harder on him.
So far she'd stopped an armed robbery, an attempted sexual assault - she'd thrown that man's ass in jail herself - and snatched a drug dealer off the streets and into police custody. But now it was just... Too quiet, that was the only way she could describe it. She shivered as a breeze blew by, surprised to feel the cold under her costume. She was flying high above the city, close to the clouds. She kept her senses alert. If anything happened in the city, she was certain she'd hear it.
Unfortunately being this high up with nothing to do and nothing to distract her, it left her open to her thoughts. Her mind was one of her greatest weapons, her greatest power, in her opinion. But lately, it had just been her enemy. She kept wondering if she wasn't good enough. Perhaps she should have asked a different Legionnaire to go back in time instead of taking the mission upon herself. Did she really deserve to wear her family's symbol? Did she really deserve to call herself a member of the house of El?
She paused, hovering in the air as if she were standing. Was this... Was this how Travis felt? This depression, this self-doubt. Suddenly she felt much closer to her... cousin? Was he technically her cousin? Or second cousin? She decided to do the math later. She'd tried to cheer Travis up earlier, but she didn't think it had worked. But if this was how he felt a lot of the time nowadays... God, she couldn't even imagine it. She wanted patrol to be over already. She wanted to go back to the farm and give him a hug and remind him that she was there for him always. She wanted to help him feel better. She wanted-
Her eyes widened ever-so-slightly, and she got the feeling that she was no longer alone.

I wanted to try to help the plot move along, and also I plan on doing a few other threads between my own characters to show the relationships between them. And this is easier than writing one large one-shot lol.

Oh, this was going to be fun.
One of the Legion's new little heroes had followed her back in time. The kid was a few years too late to stop the plan from starting. But the kid's arrival must have meant that the future was already being affected. Still, she had to wonder. Why wouldn't the Legion send one of it's older, more experienced members? Where was that Lightning Lad - she seriously hoped he wasn't still going by that; it had been lame enough when he'd been a kid - or any of his other friends? Where was the girl's father?
She recognized the kid as Supergirl. She believed, from careful observation and word of mouth, that the girl was related to Superwoman and Brainiac 5. Where were her parents? The Empress grinned wickedly. Oh right, she had the girl's mother. Maybe that's why she'd traveled all the way back in time and risked changing the past. She wanted to save her mother. Tsk, how sweet. But that wasn't going to happen. If she was the only Legionnaire in this century, then that meant she'd either sneaked into the past, or she'd been the only one assigned that mission. Either way, she wasn't going to see her own time ever again. Not if the Empress had anything to say about it.
And she'd make sure she had something to say about it.
She came to hover behind Supergirl, folding her arms across her chest. The Eye hovered above her, hidden by the lingering clouds. She wondered if Supergirl was trying to keep a low profile. Did this century's heroes know she was in town? Did her relatives know? Not that she cared. If they'd greeted her, then they could bury her.
"Well aren't you far from home," she commented, making her presence known. She kept the Eye hidden. It was obvious that she had it with her - she always had the Eye with her. But hiding it made it harder to detect and thus expect where it would be coming from. "Tell me, what brings you so far? I doubt Mommy and Daddy will approve."
She wagged a finger as if reprimanding the young hero. She acted as if her own presence in this century was to be expected. "Isn't time traveling a big no-no?"

She visibly paled at that voice, her back still facing its owner. She knew that voice. She'd never directly fought her before, though she had squared off against the Fatal Five before but never without teammates by her side, especially more experienced Legionnaires like her dad. She was pretty sure that taking the Empress head on would have been like Travis taking on Zod. A suicide mission.
She turned around slowly, cautiously. Just as she'd suspected, the Emerald Empress was there. The Eye wasn't anywhere to be found, but she knew the Empress never went anywhere without it. After all, that's where her powers came from. But why was she here? Why the past? Normally when she'd discovered she was right, Andi would have felt relief. This time she just felt sick. The Emerald Empress had something to do with the missing, she was sure of it. She wasn't sure if this would be enough for the League, though. She needed a confession. Which meant she couldn't just flee. She just hoped she'd leave this encounter with her life.
"I was going to say the same to you," she said, trying to make her voice sound calm. Anger burned through her at the mention of her mother. Was she being poked and prodded? Was the Empress trying to get under her skin? Probably. She knew rather than assumed that the Empress brought up time travel on purpose. Someone like her surely wouldn't care if she messed with the past, but Andi had to be careful. She had to make sure she didn't mess anything up. And now it looked like she'd have to clean up whatever mess the Empress had created.
"It is," she stated, "Which is why you did it right?" If there was no harm from time traveling, no way to change the past, then why would the Empress had done it? She'd come back purposefully for the opposite reason as Supergirl. Whereas the young hero wanted to fix the past, she had a feeling the Empress wanted to destroy it.
"You're behind the missing heroes, aren't you?" Supergirl accused, trying to keep her distance from the Empress. "It's all you, isn't it?"

It was almost cute, how obviously Supergirl was trying to stay away from her. That clear fear. She loved it. She kept quite at first, knowing that the girl in front of her was smarter than she looked. She wasn't just some dumb blonde. But the girl didn't know everything. It was clear in the way she questioned her. If Supergirl knew it all, she would have gone to the Justice League already, the Empress was sure of that. Or did she want a confession? She almost laughed. Even if she confessed to everything, it wouldn't help the little hero at all. The plan was already set in motion. There was no stopping it now. She was certain of it.
"Why ask questions you already know the answer to?" the Empress asked, staying in place. It was a silent stand off, she thought, to see who would attack first. Though she knew there was a chance that the little hero would try to flee. She grinned. The thought of capturing Supergirl as she tried to flee. Oh how fun it would be to see the terror and surprise in her eyes before killing her.
She spread her arms out, raising an eyebrow at the hero. "Would you like me to confess to it all? It's quite obvious already that I came back in time purposefully." She clenched her hands into fists, the grin on her face turning wicked. Behind Supergirl, she saw the Eye float into view, waiting patiently for her orders. She silently summoned power from the Eye, feeling it course through her veins, increasing her strength.
"You've come too late, Junior," she stated matter-of-factly, wind picking up and blowing both of their capes and hair. The night air was cold, fitting the mood perfectly, she thought. "I've been here for years before you even noticed the changes. It's already started! It's cute of you to think you came back in time to save the future, but there's nothing you can do to stop it. The future has already begun to change."
She flew with incredible speed, suddenly in front of Supergirl. Her hand shot out, the Eye greatly enhancing her own strength, aiming to snatch Supergirl by the throat, as she snarled, "You're too late."
